It is sooo validating to see production techniques I've developed over many years being shared as tips on this awesome channel. I can only think of a couple of other music production YT content creators at this level.
@@Churro_Flaminguez Great to know you’re on the right track 👌
I was thinking the same thing! I've just been messing around in FL in my free time, but it's been 9 years now already and I've started to develop techniques. One of them is to always try to make the most out of every element I have through effects changing over time. Good to hear that I'm on the right track with that! :D
I really should start a channel. I barely produce anymore because my life is too busy, but I have over a decade of workflow and sound design skills I'd rather pass on than let die in my projects folder
@@Hollandvancewrightgo for it!! Would love to see this come to live
I like that idea make less parts work harder. Genius.

Automation as a songwriting tool. Very fire concept.
Best shorts hands down
Over 50% of the videos on my “Sound Design//Tutorials” playlist are of you. And I don’t see it stopping any time soon 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Glad to help! 👊
What a powerful short, man. For real this is one of those things that you hear and you go straight to the DAW.
EDIT: Thanks!
Awesome, stay creative!
keeping it simple is the key. i heard a quote once something like 'brevity is the soul of wisdom'
basically the more u do in a simple and concise way, the better the outcome
the swing on those drums tho

Some of the best advice I've heard in a long time reinspired me.
Really dope track.
Cheers 👍
Bro this is awesome stuff, great advice 💯💯🔥🔥
Dude that synth sounded sick, great tips
Some Dub techno producers blow my mind with his they do so much with so little.
This is such underrated advice.
I'm so happy i learned that less is more early in my music journey. This is great advice, the human brain is always wondering what is missing while the reality is what can you remove. This kind of editing skill will do so much for your production.
Great
something ive started doing is making my leads switch from mono to wide stereo in different parts of the melody, try it out!
Good thought. Very much like “articulations” in the orchestra
This is genius
Awesome tip.
building, releasing and reverting tension is important asf
Expression is everything in music, also what a spoinky ahh drop

Happy to help!
YES🎉
Where can we listen to your tunes??
Thats cool 🙏🏻🙏🏻 Thx for this
😎
The way I look at it, I try to "humanize" as much as possible. I'm a classical musician, but I also produce EDM. In order to keep each element interesting, I like to imagine that they're real humans playing instruments. What would they do to increase tension, expression, resolution? All the things I think about when I'm playing in the hall, I try to incorporate into my computerized music.
Also, keeping things out of the way when they're not important. If you have a melody line and several tracks putting out harmonic content, they need to contrast (i.e. complex melody, simple harmony; simple melody, complex harmony). Otherwise you end up with a mess of sound.
Great insight, thanks for sharing!
yesssss
You do nothing but drop bangers
super official channel
This, I tend to stack up layers and layers and layers and layers, and my mix gets too chaotic and busy sometimes it makes me wanna sue my therapist.
Noone doin allat for they automation
whats your spotify?
My problem is that I can't seem to find sounds that sound good, I downloaded like 40k serum presets (the only synthesizer I own) and 99% just sound awful and I have no clue what to do with them.
Hey there!
Try selecting a preset at random / has some resemblance to the sound you kind of want and then try some creative EQ, adding reverb, tremelo / vibrato - basically throw the rule book out and absolutly mutilate, you will be very surprised at what can happen and be created.
Don’t stress about how the settings look in your plugins either - if it sounds good, it’s good, listen to yourself and what the “loudest” idea is that needs to come out and chase that. You can do it!
@@napalmfugitive aight i'll give it a shot, thanks for the motivation !!
I love cable guys but they’re no moog or buchla. They must become moog or buchla! Or not…
how did you manipulate timbre ? which plugin ? and how much pitch is manipulated? .... you didnt show these things so nobody can apply this, this is useless. im unsubbing.
