  • Heres my recent chopping workflow for creating ideas on the Octatrack using the create random locks feature with a longer sample. Also a little troubleshooting and a brief demonstration on one way to use Parts and Patterns.

    Love this approach. It’s also pretty fun to do with the lfo, letting the lfo decide start point and then adjust speed to get random chop variation. Kenny zhao did a great video on it.

      Great reminder. I totally forgot you can do it with the LFO too. Although I don’t think you would be able to keep your variations in each scene? Would probably need to resample them

    is there a way to automate or modulate the process of creating random locks. As designed each random lock is a static thing which on the long run is boring or needs user intervention all time.
