Whoever edited this, needs a raise. Whoever had the idea to do this style of video, needs a raise. This is literally the coolest hunting video. I’ve. Ever. Seen. EVER.
Forty-five years ago this month I made a BC backpack sheep hunt and it brings me a lot of joy knowing that people still have that opportunity. This video with its 'old school' narration is really special to me. Thanks for a great video and bringing back wonderful memories!
@@mattc7988 Yes Matt, I shot a 36" Stone at less than 10 yards, then beat feet back to AK for my last Dall hunt that ended in my oldest ram at less than 50 yards. Wish I could have relived both with a bow in hand! Got a Bighorn in '87, but have never drawn a Desert tag, though I'm still trying. Nothing like sheep and goat for true adventure, but my time has passed...almost...maybe:-).
Guys this was a beautiful vid. I’ve experienced this yrs ago, my knees won’t do it no more but this takes me back. Great job catching the “essence of the hunt” how I’d love to be up there once again
Hell yeah. Been waiting on more content from Far Gone. Well done boys. The filming and editing is several cuts above the regular RUclips hunting content. Can't wait to see the next one!
Thanks for taking us along on a grand hunt in amazing country. What a pleasant surprise when I realized I'd been afield on California Bighorn counts with Chris for sure and perhaps Devon as well on one? Greetings from the little old guy with the cowboy mustache. Hope to see you on the next count and thanks again.
The narrator, Joe Geoffrey, you gotta love his voice!! Takes me back to watching hunting shows years ago, great job. Maybe when I get 37K subs I can do that....lol.
Wonderfully made video, the grade and editing was A+ and the style with the narration was spot on, please hire these filmmakers again to create more videos for you!
1998 stone hunt out of Smithers BC. Horses made the trip possible. Decent dark ram harvested. Dall sheep in 97 with number 3 a rocky from Montana. Hoping to draw that desert tag soon as l am 69 !
I guess it doesn't matter what rifles calibers they are using, they didn't need them. I'm sure my 1960 German Weatherby 300 Magnum would have taken them out, if I could have found them. Those guys did a good job of putting a lot of effort into it. .
Pretty country and good hunting. Unfortunately, I think the editing was a bridge too far. It seemed too forced. I understand that you were going for a vintage look and feel, but it was a little too in your face and too serious at the same time. Kind of like if a Duluth Trading co commercial wanted you to take it seriously. Keep experimenting though. I like that you tried something new!
Not digging the commentary. Seems like I’m watching a history channel episode of some sort. Let the footage and the hunters commentary speak for itself.

I could not agree any more... This edit is for real.
Reminds me of Wes Andersons Moonrise Kingdom the narration, font and a lot of the square shots are a staple of his
Appreciate it Brett!
no raises, i don't want to have to pay more for my first lite gear :)
Fargone media, look them up!

It's an amazing place, that's for sure!
Hey John. Did you end up having any luck yourself, on your adventure ?

@@johnoltrogge6333 thanks for sharing John. Hope you get another opportunity! All the best
Now that I'm in my mid-thirties, I have my sights set on a new horizon: to talk like this narrator at storytime with my kids
This might be my favorite hunting film I’ve seen.
Great Job boys, and Fargone Media, all apart of the game. You'll find em
Captured by the ultra talented Nic T of Fargone Media! What a film!
Incredible film. Love the old school narration. Fargone always kills it behind the lens.
Thanks bro!!!
@@fargonefilms who was the narrator?

Loved the style of this hunting film!!! So refreshingly different.
Like an old Fred Bear movie. Well done.
Absolutely loved the narration on this video. You gotta do more!
👀
That editing and narrating was awesome. I almost thought I was going to see Robert Redfords name come across the screen at any minute.
Enjoyed the film, really like the old school western/hunting film vibe

Great videography and style. Cool story.
Felt like I was watching a GREAT documentary from the 80's. Giving off nostalgic vibes.
If Tarantino made a hunting video, this would be it, this is art!
Love the the narration!! Amazing country! What a hunt!

Watching this gave me sheep fever so bad!! I loved the way this was put together. Thanks for sharing.

Great edit, love the seek outside Cimarron that tent is badass! Amazing terrain !🏔
Great content!!
The Dick Proenneke references and the Wes Anderson-esque type setting and use of that yellow color... WOW! Fantastically made this.
Happy you thought so!! That's exactly what I was going for haha!!
That country is unbelievable beautiful nature
Love this guys!!
Masterpiece.
Quite literally one of the best vids I have come across - well done!
Great video 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
This was so well shot. I would've watched 2hrs of this.
Sweet old style video.
Great film! Very impressive they were able to get Sam Elliott to provide commentary.
It's not Sam elliot
Really enjoyed your content👍👍👍

Look at the beauty of the land I would have liked to have been there with my 300 Weatherby.
Good job
That was pretty darn goofy, but hell, I enjoyed it.

Been there, done that. And what's more Canadian than a de Havilland Canada DHC-2 Beaver and Tim Hortons coffee?
This was something out of the Guy Eastman days sort era. Loved the editing, need more of these types. But kill something next time.
Chadwick was “meat hunting” when he shot the ram not knowing it was a world record.
What rifles and calibers were they using
300prc
A way bit overproduced but comforting in an old timey way.
Was this a recent film or an old one you found
It's a new production!
Who else felt like the edit was a Quentin Tarantino film? Hahaha
Where can I get the black first lite hat that he is wearing 😳
Is there some rule that RUclips hunters have to look like they haven’t shaved or bathed in three months?
I’m glad the title wasn’t Expensive camping trip or I might have saved myself 20 minutes.
i just don't understand why that guy doesn't shave his face.
I hope to hunt in Canada someday when they drop their insane vaccine rules
How I wish America would annex Canada
Then some Texan would just fence if off and install feeders, no thanks
@@terryzanger7152 right some Texan who lives at least 2,000 miles away would fence it off. You fool

Why refer to grown up men as boys? What is up with this culture
All filler, very little killer.
