I visitted the castle before 3 weeks. The video is nothing compared to the emotion I felt when the castle appeared at the left of the road driving to Hohenschwangau. I was in a dream
Just thinking that King Ludwig (the mad King) lived there in the 1800's and saw this view from his castle blows my mind. Just coming up with the idea to build this beautiful castle that sits pretty far up the mountain so every bit of material had to be carted up by horses is amazing. I have been there (inside) both in the summer time and also in winter when it was covered with snow...then it's really a Fairy Castle but cold brrr. The inside, all the different rooms, even the big kitchen are so beautiful and modern its unbelievable. It is hard to describe one has to see it. When Ludwig got married the Octoberfest was born and is still going strong every year on that date. Unfortunately King Ludwig met a sad end - according to legend he drowned in one of the lakes at the bottom of the castle. I believe it was Herrenchiemsee.
ANNIE H. King Ludwig II was Never Married... also his body was found in a lake near Munich. That’s about 2 hours drive time, now days back then it would have been many days travel.
Wow, amazing video! My dream vacation but I'm very far away in the desert of New Mexico, USA. I think this is as close I get to this beautiful castle. Thank you for sharing!
Excellent video, thanx for uploading BUT it's 10 percent of original emotions I felt near the castle. Highly recommended to visit Schwangau, Fussen ant other small cities in that area
+Yorokobino Umi: you can't film the back side of the castle from the front side because the drone would easily lose radio connection behind the building and there is a huge gorge behind the castle. You would need to walk to the Mary's Bridge (the bridge seen behind the castle in the video) and try from there, flying over the entire gorge to the castle then. However, the backside is not as beautiful as the front side anyway.
Where did you fly your drone from? I have heard that security does not like it when you fly your drone from 'near' the castle. I am planning to fly my drone there, and would love to know the location from where you flew your drone. Thanks!
There is no way to start your drone from near the castle. You will have to start from an open field 1.2km away, which requires a good FPV equipment and a drone which is capable of long flights.

Carolyn, when you stand in front of a tall building filming with a drone, it is not possible (at least not advisable) to fly around the whole building. The radio link would be shielded by the building. To film Neuschwanstein from the other side, a one hour walk uphill is necessary. And then there is a deep gorge, the Pollatschlucht, between you and the castle. I didn't want to risk that 😊

Bilo bi bolje, da je to prikazano u nekoliko kadrova, a ne sa puno kratkih kadrova, i onda se još oni preklapaju. Pa se dešava, da dolazi novi kadar, a ja još dobro nisam vidio prethodni.
Prekratki su kadrovi i ne bi se smjeli preklapati. Sve se to moglo prikazati u nekoliko dugih kadrova, a ne u mnogo prekratkih kadrova koji se preklapaju.

You missed the other side of that castle. I think the sweep around the structure would be the most satisfactory.

Why did you only show one side of the castle and not both?
