Early 70's back in them days you could see a band on a music show like the Whistle Stop or The Midnight Special with Wolfman jack. But you had to go to concerts and festivals to actually experience them. Some of my favorite memories of a teenage boy

I met jim in the 90's actually 4 times, got to take pics and hang a bit places they played. It was just crazy right place right time several times. And tha growling gravely voice yes, back then when he talked to you it had that aargh!! Luv jim Dandy, Dirty Dog too!!
I saw a documentary on Van Halen and someone mention to Jim Dandy Mangrum that David Lee Roth (before Van Halen was successful) was filming his stage act. Jim Dandy met with Roth and told him to go ahead and film all he wanted because he borrowed from other people for his on stage presentation.
Posting 6:22 pm ET on 9-9-21. Saw about a minute ago that Rick "Ricochet" Reynolds, BOA guitarist, died 4 days ago at age 72 of COVID complications. RIP, Ricochet.

One of the most underrated band with the incredible Tommy Aldridge on drums!!
I saw them when Wayne Evans was the drummer. Next time it was Tommy and I was blown away by his drumming
