Hey Grizzly, I was wondering if you had any input regarding the airbag sensors, and the safety of the rrb's. I haven't been able to find any fia certified reclining seats. Are your airbags disabled when you installed those seats?
Hey man, how is it sitting that low to the ground with the new seats? Still comfortable to drive and how are long drives with those seats? The stitching in my R front seats are starting to tear and I'm looking at just getting new seats.
I absolutely love it, some people find it odd though just personal preference. The Corbeau RRB are the most comfortable seats I have ever owned. Driven over 10 hours in them with absolutely ZERO discomfort. Quite remarkable really.
Hey Grizzly! I really love the look and quality of these seats but I’m worried about how low they sit compared to the stock mk7 seats. Do you know of any ways to make the seat sit higher?
Hey Grizzly, HYDE16 here from the MK6 world. You've sold me on the Corbeau RRB seats when I originally wanted the RRS seats. I couldn't find where to email you so I'll comment here. I need some technical help as my seats arrive Monday. For the airbag sensors and the pressure sensor (passenger side), how did you code out the lights/errors or trick them? With replacing both seats, I read about coding VagCom to disable the heat seaters and possibly turning off the airbags but if there's a way to keep the airbags activated I'm all ears. Lastly, in the MK6 GTI, the passenger side occupancy sensor will now show an error/light, how did you overcome this in your MK7. Thanks and great videos.
hi great video i want to get them instead of recaro, I want rrb are they holding body in much better on corners than rrs? I will be using them on track and road. let me know what you think of comfort of hours of driving thanks!!!
IMO RRB are better for both track and daily. Definitely much more aggressive bolstering and are even more comfortable than the RRS. You get fixed back fit and feel with the ability to recline, definitely the best dailies IMO.
+Rev'n Step Yeah definitely might do a custom upholstery in the future with some genuine leather because it is definitely easier to maintain than cloth.
How do you find them size wise? I’m quite a big guy, 6ft3 and 36inch waist, in the market for seats and these look exactly what I’m after but haven’t got anywhere to try them
Grizzly, I noticed that the seat brackets on the COrbeau website are listed only for "Golfs 08-14". Would these still fit a mk7 (2015) what did you do?
literally was about to ask about the heated seats part at the 6:06 mark and said let me watch whole video before i do...and 3 seconds later you comment on it
+_ lhman360 _ Yes using stock belts, is a little odd but it does work, just have to give the belt a little tug to tighten. I will be installing a cage and harness' though.
how are you liking them, any updates. I'm looking at the rrb for my subaru. but kind of slow process. with it being 519.00 plus 125 for the slider and bracket.
Yeah aftermarket seats aren't the cheapest but mannn are they worth it. Really changes the whole driving dynamic. I would highly recommend it and I absolutely LOVE my RRB's.
Hooollllld up. I wanted these seats in my R34GTR, then I realised, they don't tilt forward so no access to the rear seats for 2 door cars. Or am I wrong here? I'm looking at BRIDE replica at moment, the originals are stupidity priced unfortunately.
+Gabriel Cruz lol! Thanks alot man, I appreciate you taking the time to watch. I can see how certain ones can get old. I try to keep em car related, that usually makes it watchable 😂 lol.
what is the model number for the GTI plaid seat shown at 0:58? they look exactly like the RRB, but there doesn't seem to be an upholstery option on that seat.
+WHENZLUNCH Jeez you must be able to see the license plate! lol I can see why they hug you better. You don't have any issues with headroom with a helmet on?
Nice videos! Did putting in the aftermarket seats throw an error with the airbags?
+pur3sx Yessir it does, there are many ways to fix that tho, I will be doing a video on that in the near future. 👍🏼
GrizzlyTV, any update on the airbag issue, have you thought more about you airbag video? Keep up the good work brother!
Hey Grizzly, I was wondering if you had any input regarding the airbag sensors, and the safety of the rrb's. I haven't been able to find any fia certified reclining seats. Are your airbags disabled when you installed those seats?
Dude..... that was the greatest fucking intro in all youtube...!!
+Aless Acuna Thanks Aless! I really appreciate that! Wasn't sure if people would like it lol. Thanks for watching mate!

I'm surprised you don't have more subs this is some quality content
+LuvAndVdubs Thank you buddy I appreciate that! Thanks for watching!
Hey Grizzly! I really love the look and quality of these seats but I’m worried about how low they sit compared to the stock mk7 seats. Do you know of any ways to make the seat sit higher?
They are much lower than stock, you could always add more foam or get a seat that doesn't sit as low.

Hey, haven't see you post for a while. Please do a install post review!! I believe he just leave the airbag light on and that's probably the only way.
This should help. I was wondering the same thing. www.golfmk6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=110958

Another great video. Both type of seats look great. For aesthetics I prefer the pleather look but the cloth looks to be an improved design.

I love those stripes on the fenders
Where can I find the rails for the aftermarket seats. Wanted to keep the stock ones all together

what about the occupancy sensor?
literally was about to ask about the heated seats part at the 6:06 mark and said let me watch whole video before i do...and 3 seconds later you comment on it
@TheGrizzlyGuild you seem like a bigger guy, how comfortable was the rrb seat?
Did you just call me fat?
Do you still use the oem belts? If so, how is the lap belt fitment? It seems that the extra bolsters would interfere?
+_ lhman360 _ Yes using stock belts, is a little odd but it does work, just have to give the belt a little tug to tighten. I will be installing a cage and harness' though.

cool, thanks sir. bet it will really help me out I slide around in my stock seat, and plan to do auto cross.
Yo grizzz I got 1 question I have a coupe would these even recline forward a bit to even reach my back seats?
Honestly no, these don't recline forward.
Nice video do the rrb sit lower than ur factory seats? If so about how much thx.
Which brackets did you use for the MK7? I emailed Corbeau and they could not confirm fitment of seat belt buckle...
I’m trying to buy these like now can’t find the cloth seats on the website just the leather?

These do not fold forward unfortunately.
What brackets did you use? They look nice an low
nice stuff, grats on the sponsorship
+Mark Biazrov Thank you Mark!
Have you figured out how to get the airbag lightboff the dash? Would love to replace my seats but don't want that to be an issue.
There is a resistor you can buy but I have never really looked into it, doesn't bother me that much.
Hello Grizzly! I'm wonder where I can buy the red lightning powerline?
Purchased at my local "Lowe's" (Hardware Store)
You know... As much as I'm starting to dislike vlogging, I like yours. Keep it up man! Stop by Northeast some time!
+Gabriel Cruz lol! Thanks alot man, I appreciate you taking the time to watch. I can see how certain ones can get old. I try to keep em car related, that usually makes it watchable 😂 lol.
What about airbags and airbag light?
Hey man I had a question, I was looking into getting the rrs seats but I'm a bigger guy and was wondering how comfortable the seat is

what is the model number for the GTI plaid seat shown at 0:58?
they look exactly like the RRB, but there doesn't seem to be an upholstery option on that seat.
It's a custom render I did.
What is the weight difference? Are the Corbeaus lighter?
Yes, I'm way heavier than the Corbeaus, not sure by how much tho.
Is the rrs more comfortable?
Than a lawn chair, yes.
What did you do about the airbag light after removing the Oem seats?
Not a damn thing.
Still making credit card payments on your totalled GTI?

+Wh1rly Bird No unfortunately I got rid of those before putting in the RRS. Didn't think to weigh them.

+WHENZLUNCH They are very nice for stock, sat a bit high for my taste tho.
really, I'm 6'2" 264 and they fit me very comfortable. they also have a handle on the side to lower it to the floor.
+WHENZLUNCH Jeez you must be able to see the license plate! lol I can see why they hug you better. You don't have any issues with headroom with a helmet on?
