  • We cleared off an old log landing from the year before and got it ready to spread some buckwheat. After the soil temperature warms up, we will broadcast the summer blend and then lay the buckwheat over top of it. I also found a decent place for another long narrow food plot that I disced up. That is all! Thanks for watching!

Same here! I might plant it next week if the weather looks okay.

Same here! This will be the first time I try this method, so it'll be a learning process for sure!

Hope all your hard work, making these food sources available, pays off well with a lot of deer in the area.

Thanks. Me too! It should make a difference. There have never been food plots there before, so we shall see!

I really enjoy watching you get every acre possible for your food plots. I’m sure it will pay off in healthy deer.👍

Thanks! I sure hope so. We have lots of little clearing that can be planted. Just a matter of getting them all planted.

Menards has a chicken manure based fertilizer 9.99 a bag. 4 to 8 a acre. I have had better results with that then chemical fertilizer on my clover fields and new fields.

I'll look into it. We don't have Menards down here, but I'm sure I can find some. I'd like to fertilize my clover plot this spring, so that's what I might end up using.
