Oh wow! That’s a local store to me I visit often! It’s weird to see my YT subscriptions merge with my real world. 😆 I was addicted to Bases Loaded on GB when I was a kid!
That's awesome! I just happened to randomly find them when I was looking for new mystery boxes to try. Bases Loaded on GB was a lot more fun than I was expecting and I enjoyed the music quite a bit.
I cant really give a pick either. I would say not to use them again. It is one thing to get a bunch of shovelware games as long as you get a centerpiece to just give you a little hype. There was nothing hype about this mystery box. If you are looking for another mystery box. I would like to suggest "Double Jump Video Games" Same concept from a different video game store but you get the value of what you pay from (cheapest box is $50) The difference is, you can kind of leave them a note to let them know the type of games you want and they will cater to that. Boxes will not have a set amount of games though, it will just be based on value. Thanks for the video Aggie.
I've seen some people do Double Jump boxes and I am interested in giving it a shot one day; I've heard really good things about that store. Seems like they created a mystery box option just to get rid of all their licensed shovelware and sports titles lol. I don't have a pick of that bag. I personally don't think you should do that one anymore unless you're looking to get a complete set for certain systems
I probably won't use them again; now I know. I was kind of expecting a bunch of shovelware and sports titles going in, but I also expected at least one game that didn't fall in that category. At least I got a video out of it! Thanks for watching!
An envelope inside an envelope...Envelopeception! Yeah I'm expecting a bunch of shovelware games. Let's see if I'm right. Shrek Fairy Tale Freakdown-alright so far I'm right with shovelware. Oh as soon as I saw that first screen I knew exactly what this was. The AVGN talked about this when he went over a bunch of Shrek games. 102 Dalmations-Oh boy more shovelware! Definitely a more quality game than Shrek. Lion King-Oh yeah I heard of Lion King, yeah supposedly it got some modest scores back in the 90s, nothing too crazy. This game seems like it's probably the best of the lot so far but that could just be the bias of the SNES/Genesis counterparts and how renowned those versions are, clouding my judgement on this obviously inferior version. Bases Loaded-Well it's not shovelware but it's just as bad. Eh, I guess the game is fine. Football-Probably the weakest game of the lot not gonna lie. None of the games were great. Not sure what my pick of the bag would be...Lion King I guess. I gotta give Shrek some credit though. Yeah it's a terrible game but at least it's unique
I didn't know if the envelopes would ever stop!!! Haha. I really wanted to make sure that I didn't see anything before I pulled it out; I really enjoy being able to capture my genuine reaction to each game being revealed. That being said, even if anything had been spoiled, I don't think it would have affected things too much since I wasn't really excited about anything that I pulled... I went into this expecting a lot of shovelware, and I'm not upset with the store. I just don't think that their boxes are really what I am looking for right now.
Time to start the "not enough envelopes" series!
