At 7 Years Old, Do You have any idea how impressed I was to see a car drive up the side of a building? I mean I actually planned to do this when I got my first car.
Varum Gilus Theirs a difference between a metallic gargoyle and a stone crafted one from a old cathedral.
Black Excellence It impressed me as well at that age. Batman Forever in itself is a great starting point for young kids.
@@-Vitalis- didn't know people can sound so insecure on a RUclips comment. Seriously, calling someone stupid over a childhood memory.

In terms of being a virgin you are certainly more Christian than I am
Two Face from Batman Forever: "We'll drive, thank you".
Joker from the Dark Knight: "Oh, excuse me, I wanna drive".
Haha. Two different scenarios too.
I like how Batman doesn’t slow down for the lady crossing the street but when he sees it’s Two-Face he’s like “Oh! Hit the brakes.”
He wasn't going to fall for that again.
I like how everyone’s going 10-20mph.
Michael Keaton Batman:
Hits Breaks when he sees old lady.
Hits the gas when he sees two face!
@@intorsusvolo7834 yeah, after all these years, I just noticed that and wondered why they were going at that speed, hahaha.

Batman Forever will have a special place in my heart. It has severely aged but being my first Batman film at age 7. I'll love it forever.
Same.
I was born 3 days before this movie hit the theaters xD and it was my first Batman film too when I was 6. I dont Care what haters say, I love this film and think it's great... in my own way xD
Same
I agree
Same. I've started to read the comics later.
Back when this film came out McDonald's in Australia promoted it with their Happy Meals. You got a glass mug that had a stained glass painting style image on it; there were 4 - Batman, Robin, Two-Face and Riddler. Oh the 90's... back when you got REAL toys with your happy meal.
I have them all
They had those same glass mugs here in the United States.
@@firstpres2002 Yep, My mom got us 3 sets of the mugs in the states. I still had them up until a year ago :( They were cool as hell
GodDAMN I totally forgot I had one of those until you brought it up. I immediately ran to the cabinet and dug it out. That’s so funny
2:19 lol I've never forgotten that ridiculous scream of Two-Face since I was a kid
2019: "you used to love this movie"
Me: "at 5 years old this scene was everything..........."
I still love this movie.
2:22 I love how they added the old school 'Adam West Batman' style music tone there lol.
Two Face laughs like he's high AF watching this whole thing happen.
Here’s a better idea: why not replaced Two-Face with the Joker and make his comeback like a running gag of some sort?
@@republicempire446 cause the Riddler will be crazier than the Joker, as they have to find an actor who could out crazy Jim Carrey
@@lowhp_comic very good point
The question I've always had was how did Batman get the Batmobile down from there after the scene ended?
His car would being left hanging off that gargoyle. No clue how he would have gotten it off without damaging the car with that huge fin and without people watching. Joel and WB's goals as to make it a comic book, so we need to understand that to enjoy this movie. I've grown to appreciate both if Joel's movies more if I see it that way.
Because he’s Batman
Think he had the batcopter come pick it up lol
My (equally silly) guess is he has ANOTHER harpoon on either side of the vehicle. So when he reaches the top near the gargoyle, he fires at another rooftop, decouples the first one, and starts swinging the Batmobile from roof to roof like Spider-Man until he reaches an overpass or parking garage he can drop onto.
@@CrisisComics honestly, wouldn’t even doubt that 💀💀💀
One time I watched this movie back-to-back with Batman Returns. Needless to say, the shift of tone and quality was rather jarring. Just imagine watching Batman & Robin and Batman Begins back-to-back. Would probably give you a heart attack
It's funny too, because Schumaker was totally capable of doing dark and gritty, 8mm is proof of that. He had the tools and sensibilities to direct a film in keeping with the darker atmospherics of the first two, but it simply isn't what the studio wanted...which is why his Gotham is the neon-drenched statue-ridden migraine inducing hellscape we see.
@@MelancoliaI Very true. A lot of people like to blame Schumacher for the lighter tone and atmosphere of the Batman franchise during this time period, but he wasn't the driving force behind it. It was the executives from Warner Bros that were pushing hard for everything to be lighter and more family-friendly than the first two films, not Schumacher. In fact, his original cut was darker than the final version, you can see those cut scenes if you search for them. And again, it was Warner Bros that pushed to have those darker & grittier scenes removed from the final cut.
Returns or forever..which is better?
@@qwerttzizzi I love both, and the one from 1989 too!🔥

I always loved this Batmobile from ever since I first watched ‘Batman Forever’ growing up. It’s one of my favorite fictional vehicles of all time. It’s appearance, design, function, and ability to get out of sticky situations. Hell, the automated sideways turn/dodge and winch used to scale buildings were amazing tools to utilize. I was even more impressed that the game company ‘Rocksteady’ incorporated these additions into the controllable Batmobile in the ‘Batman: Arkham Knight’ game.
This Batmobile always looked the coolest to me. I like the new batman one I think it's a cool take I liked the Nolan one too, but God this one is just flat out awesome I don't care if it's not realistic looking that's the cool part lmao.
The 1989 batmobile is my favorite
That's the slowest street chase I've ever seen.
Oh my god you are right😳🤣

Batman Forever is criminally underrated
I used to think the same, given my memories of seeing this as a child. I used to think it was the greatest movie ever made back then. But now, I find myself cringing at some of the scenes :)
It's the funniest Batman movie for me
#releasetheschumachercut
Haha…what!?
It’s fucking terrible. As seen in this clip!
This was the film that killed batman for me when I was a child 😭 I read the comics & it wasn't shitty like this!! I hated the movies with George Clooney 😒 & what is it with Gotham & the batmobile being all neon lights everywhere 🤨🧠 its supposed to be dark & gothic looking not a fucking light show! It's all crap. I remember years back when batman begins came out I'd never seen any trailers of it I didn't even want to know a new batman movie existed until the dark Knight came out so I watched begins before going to the cinema that night & it blown me away how good it was until I seen dark Knight & that was a masterpiece!
0:22 Goon is thinking: "I hate riding shotgun with this idiot."

This is the 2nd time Two-Face killed his henchmen by accident in this movie. The 1st time was during the helicopter scene.

Nothing can touch the 89/Returns model for ubiquity, but in a way this one has always been my favorite Batmobile. Of all the movie versions, it's the one that's given over the most to just being crazy. And this is the film that's the closest to an almost cyberpunk vibe, which I enjoy.

Interesting point & perspective!
The greatest comic book movie ever made. Just makes you want to get a big cup of coke and a big bucket of popcorn and enjoy. The last true blockbuster. I love the look out the window at 2:30! Val is awesome!
That entire car grappling up and driving onto the wall made me fangasm even when I was 18!!
Joygasm!
I used to have that toy batmobile. I'd snap the fins at the back off and throw them around the house like batarangs.
Same here dude! I thought I was the only one. Cheers! As a fun thing to check out, in the scene when batman is flying through the cave in the batwing to confront the riddler - the fin is missing entirelly from the CGI model during one of the times it pans to the back of the plane. So don't feel too bad, some of the fins are missing even in the films themselves in some cases, lol.
Yeah same, but i lost the front firing missile and then the canopy lol, but damn did love its light up feature
i still have that toy! lol. still works, i also have the 1989 baymobile, batman returns, (the1 that turns into 2 cars) and the tumbler. chit, i still have alot of my toys, 80% of em. and i'm almost 40. lol
It's possible between movies Bruce Wayne was unable to repair the old batman mobile and decided to make a new one.
Oof!
Has billions of dollars but can't get a Batmobile that can take on civilian vehicles. Come on, Bruce.

🤣🤣 Agreed! 🤷🏽♂️
Um, the Batmobile is not built for combat.
Batman isnt suppose to kill people, if you forgot. Why not just run over Two Face whiles hes at it?
Joker destroys Batmobile with single missile in Dark Knight. Here at least batmobile was secured.
Probably because he feels bad for Harvey, he used to be his friend and he thinks Harvey is a victim rather than a villain because he reckons he does "need help".

I Loved this Scene. Especially the Batmobile driving up the Wall.
Gotta admit, I can understand Two Face being pretty dang frustrated.
0:17 in and that has to be the slowest fucking chase scene in existence.
I wonder what caused Joel Schumacher to give Two Face very classic and older looking cars. I know Joel was actually a huge Batman fan, so I wonder if he watched the animated series and incorporated that “timeless” feel by using older cars in a more modern timeline with a mix of older and newer technology
It had me thinking of Dick Tracy's style too.
And I was hoping if Joel Schumacher would've tried to make the villains more criminal and more serious instead of being so psychotic.
It is a nod to the 30's style cars in the original Batman comic books.
@@luisdorado8562 Blame WB for pushing him to make it more family friendly after what happened with Returns.

Yeah, I think the same.
When he gets to the top, Batman will just hang there and wait until Two-Face cries his heart out and leave... Lol.
Ya, I mean he’s a sitting duck or rather a sitting bat. Two face and his gang could have just started shooting at the car and maybe hit the gas tank
"We'll drive, thank you" should be said everytime a vehicle is commandeered in an action film.
this was one of the cooler batmobiles
The bullet sound effects are literally someone making the sound with their mouth.

Lewis West He is certainly the most underrated Batman. And he is closest to the comics as well

Problem in batman forever wasn't batman himself. Problem were the villains and their stupid acting. Val Kilmer was good.
@@blooDropletLNG If Two-Face in particular had been played serious and the deleted scenes focused on Bruce's nightmares/etc had been left in, Forever could've been a legitimately terrific film. As is, I think that it deserves more credit than it gets, but it certainly has its issues.
That's a refreshing change of pace, usually Batman climbs the walls WITHOUT the Batmobile....
Well... Arkham Knight has re-introduced the tradition and let's see what the 2022 "The batman" has to show...
And to think Tommy Lee Jones had the nerve to say that he didn’t like Jim Carey’s buffoonery. Tommy’s performance in this movie is beyond terrible.

Hmm..rocket launcher attempt, side driving bat vehicle, bat vehicle up the wall ,driving in a tunnel..yeah, i see where nolan got his ideas from for the batpod scenes
Fun fact about this scene. At the start, the cars were going four miles per hour.
I really loved this Batmobile, until I started actually driving. The sheer impracticality of the car along with the throttle shift doesn't make a lot of sense.
The car would be better without the giant middle fin and fewer holes.
The way Batman drive up the apartment in Batman returns.
the soundtrack gave it away as to who this movie is for
The ending of this scene sounds like The Incredibles.
I forever love that batmobile, what did you guys think?
Brett Dave Sargent Yup I has this batmobile remote control car back when this came out
I used to have a toy batmobile just like this one that lit up. It was big enough to fit a six inch version of Batman in it.
Other then the big stupid wing it was ok.
I think this one is very nifty.
I’m a fan of the car before it in the Michael Keaton films
This one looks cool but it looks like it should be in Alien or predator
Not necessarily Batman
Also the lights on it kinda betray the whole point of Batman that he should be stealthy and in conspicuous
The 1989 bat mobile is the best in my opinion
Even though I’m a fan of the dark knight trilogy
1:16 Two-Face impersonating Kenneth Williams LOL
Bats, you don't kill, right?
1:23 1:40 I always crack up at these random cackles of Two-Face here!
This Gotham City really does have random gaargoyle statues everwhere don't it.
I actually like this version of the batmobile, it's not as good or iconic as the 1989 one. But I think it's passable for what it needs to be. And it's way better than the batman & robin batmobile, I hated that design
0:03 sadman forever

This car "chase" is. so. slow. 😂🐢
1:15 Well drive thank you!
You know I always thought that 2 Face & The Riddler were a little more crazier than Joker
Definitely more over the top in this movie than other ones lol
The dark knights joker was more insane than 2 face and the riddler
They are litrally all the same character back then.
1:45 you can see the camera behind batman come down. Just look to his right
You odiot. That's the control panel he is touching on. That's no camera.
Geez. What the hell were those henchmen going to do even IF the Batmobile had no escape? They were all going to collide with each other no matter what. (Seriously, rewatch the scene from the bad guys' perspective) LOL
Well they were stupid enough to work for a guy who literally tosses coins for stuff that is extreme so... their idiocy isn't too surprising.
Classic bad guy stupidity. They're all the time trying to hit the hero in their car, driving full speed at them, even when the hero is like right next to a wall or a cliff or some other hazard. Even if they hit the hero, they would still slam full speed into the wall or fly off the cliff. Green Goblin made a similar mistake in Spider-Man, trying to hit Spider-Man with his glider by remote. Even if Spider-Man didn't jump out of the way, Goblin would have still been hit by the glider himself.
Gotham in Schumacher's Batman is simply amazing.
The light effects are really awesome in this scene!
2:19 lol
It’s just Two Face now, go back down and capture him. Stop running away.
Best scene of the movie i think
I wonder how he got the car back down 🤣🤣🤣🤣
He’s Batman...
He did a Batman Begins and drove it across the rooftops
The batmobile drives like 30, but the thruster is always on, or maybe it's a flamethrower.
You know we came a long way when a Yukon or Escalade today has more features than the 90's Batmobile.
It’s a weird scene how it’s Batman running away from criminals and not turning around to catch them! 😆
