Learn how to assemble high-quality robots in Blender 3D.
Instagram - / stache_obj
I have always looked at high-quality robots - say from Chappie, or from Finch or from walle or from the bosstown dynamics robot by corridor crew, or the scooty robot peter france, or mechanical robots that polyfjord made--and felt i could never make such complex 3d models.
But as it turns out - it very easy how to make simple robots in blender. so in this video, i made greebles, mechanical bits that i later kitbashed on to a base mesh and modelled a robot with ease.
I also rigged the robot using different methods. So we will also cover different methods to rig a robot.

Great video! Subscribed.
Kaizen Tutorials in the house ladies and gentlemen. Love your content! Thanks for subscribing
homie rizzed up the big man, let's gooooo
The results are crispyyyyy. Can you do a tutorial on how you nailed the realism with exposure, contrast, lighting, DOF, grain, etc.
I might make an Instagram reel or something for sure.
I go by stache_obj
@@stache_obj please don't forget to post it as a short on youtube as well
Using kitbashing to construct an enormously detailed robot is a super good idea 💪 Thanks for the inspiration!

The final renders are way better than what i expected 🎉🎉
Glad u liked it brother
Great videos and sense of fun in them, as learning should be. Thanks for the effort you put in.
Heyy.. appreciate it man. Means a lot
Love this
This was such a treat to watch! I saw a friendly looking chair that I plan on bringing to life so the encouragement is appreciated. Your characters are fantastic, and I especially like 'Autobot'. Why transform into a vehicle when you can BE the vehicle
Heyy. Glad you had fun watching this.
It was a fun video to make.
Autobot is definitely my favorite too 😂
This is amazing! Thank you so much! I've literally just started a project with a robot.
Ayeee. That's great. Check out the description. Got some good links there for some awesome assets there.
All the best. Send me what you make on instagram if you can.
I LOVE your style
I literally just subscribed because of how you describe things and the content is really nice!
A pleasnt stumble
Toufic my man. Thankss for saying that. Appreciate it
I had always this mindset that to make a robot look interesting it had to have a complex design, it's all about knowing how to tell a story, though. Nice one.
Oh yeah. Story first always. Glad you liked the vid 🤝
So cool ! And I love the concept of your robots :)
Thanks man
The character at 4:30 cracked me up. Which might be a bad thing if that's not what you intended, but you can't just place the wheel where you've placed it and not think "Jesus take the wheel" lmao.
😂. Well now i can't think of anything else. Thanks. Thanks a lot
Those robots are truly amazing! Also, i like the ideia of use 3d models as references, this should be better than blueprints!
Exactly right. Better than blueprints. That's a good way to put it.
hey man, really enjoyed your video! thank you :)
Glad you liked it 🫂
Fantastic video with great ideas!
all of your videos are so good
Aww thanks man
A detailed tutorial will be a lot of help for newbie
That's hard to do vivek brother. There are very few ideas that work on RUclips and a detailed video on this topic just doesn't attract enough eyeballs. I could do it as a patreon video but I'm sure nobody would like that either 😄
Damn, the base mesh idea is amazing!
Isn't it. It's such a simple technique
Your tutorial impressed me soo much you got a new subscriber here!
Welcome my friend
newly discovered channel ... love it ! ... especially that last robot ! ..lol...
Ayeee. Glad you liked it 🙏🏻
Excellent Work, many thanks, my Bro!! 👍🏾👍🏾
No problem man. Appreciate you dropping a comment
So nice design/style.....I LOVE IT! Great work! Long life to Blender and a big ciao from Italy ;)
Thank you! Cheers!
I just loved your explanation.
Glad you liked it!
Great work, man! Hilarious robots.. the "Stop Bot" cracked me up 😂
Thanks! 😁
This amazing
You amazing
Amazing job!! Keep going, already subscribed👏👏🙂
🫂
@@stache_obj My pleasure, you are always welcome to my channel
Love your videos, but I miss the talking cube moustache :( please don't be shy of your default cube head, pls bring him back!
Aww man. I will for sure. Next video for sure
Thank you brother 🫡
Lighting and post processing so goood man ❤
This kind of videos give me inspiration to create, awesome content and fun video!
Glad u had fun man.
Excellent Work
Thanks! This was very helpful and informative!
Glad it was helpful!
Super cool and inspiring dude! Thanks a bunch for sharing this video 🙏
Glad u liked it 😄
Very inspiring .. & some very inspired & subtle humour .. Brilliant! :)
Thanks man. 🙏🏻
Man such a great channel, awesome work.
Thanks man
Dope tutorial
03:48 sound effect scared me. Thank you.
Shit it scared me as well just right now 😂. I put it in there so these attention deficit tiktok kids are jolted awake. I apologise
@@stache_obj thanks for checking it. love your video and advice about blender!
Can you make the tutorial how to achieve that lighting?
I might make reel about it. I don't think i have the juice for making a full video. If you can bear it, i go by stache_obj on Instagram
Beautiful!
Can you make a tutorial on the whole Envelope part at 3:43 and go a bit more in depth?
wait the stabby boy... you give good humour when it's needed and that's why "stache" is now my bffff.......f,
but no joke your a one of a kind man, human ,boy thingamabob and, you make usesing blend, beldnerfull, :).
Haaaaa. Thanks man 😂.
That was most wonderful comment ever. 🫂
Crazyyyy 🤣🤛
brooo i saw your post on reddit with the different lightings
That was a long time ago. You still remember that 😂
@@stache_obj wouldnt be in character for me to forget such amazing blender cgi
i love this video too much, not only is it extremely helpful the robots you made me die. theyre so good. bravo.
Thanks man. So glad you like'em
Damn that video was so entertaining and cute now I want to model a robot duuuh 🙄
Hell yeah. Show me if you end up making something
4:36 🤣🤣
This is not a laughing matter shubham. That was a genuine product warning. Plzzz.
So good!
Love it bro ♥🔥
can u make a tutorial about making a motorbike
Thank you for this video! What laptops do you prefer for using blender? Thank you!!
I have a Lenovo IdeaPad gaming 3. Which has a gtx1650 and 16gigs of ram.
I'd suggest whatever laptop you buy, make sure it has an RTX card, preferebly the 30series. But the 20series isn't that bad either. Get as much ram as you can afford. And definitely choose SSD over hdd.
@@stache_obj Thank you!
Those renders belong to an art exhibit!
Stopppp
😁
Why haven't I subscribed? beats me 😅 I just smashed it though 🎉
How did the background come from at 4:11 ?
Just put it together man. Just water and foliage and a big tree trunk. It was boring and uninspiring so i cut it out
@@stache_obj I'm new to Blender. Could you please show how you did that in your upcoming video?
step one - make 6 models
step two - buy 300 models
step three - make a robot out of it and call it 100% yours
got it
That's exactly right . I'd like for you to try and come up with a good render. Still super hard to do
the mesh deform is lazy solution for 3d artists
Hello pro ❤🎉❤
Who? Where?
what if you apply inverse kinematics?
I didn't try that. But i think it should work fine
The bob ross of blender
Too high a praise my brother. I don't accept it but i appreciate it 🫂🙏🏻
you rly tryna say that the robot at 4:30 isn't called wheelie
God how did i not think of that ,😂
Hi man, you got a sub from me. If you don t mind is there possible to send me the 3d model that you made for the cute self driving robot, the little one with a wheel from the end? I just want to use it to create a robot irl and make it function and that looks cool. Please consider this! Thank you!
Thanks man.
Unfortunately i think giving away the robot would be difficult since it has a lot of license conflicts if i do. Hope you understand. I'd love to share it really but just bound by some copyright issues
@@stache_obj oh, okay, i will try to create it myself with your videos help. Good luck!
You can't use f word in yt.
I can't? Fuck! I mean frick!
speak lil slowly from next time, good video tho ❤
Noted
But i want McDonald's! :c
All right. You can have it. But not again. This is the last time. From this point on, every penny you make must go to yoir 3d art advancement
I maybe proud of myself... but are YOU proud of me??
No!
Hmmm, isn't it better to ask chat gpt to make you a robot as you want instead of spending hours and hours in front of blender? What happens to those who don't know how to use a blender or don't want to learn but at the same time want to design robots like the one this guy in the video says?
use chat gpt or some artificial intelligence that is good and affordable, guys, don't kill yourself with blender, TIMES HAVE CHANGED, THE TECHNOLOGY CHANGED, ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IS THE TOOL TO USE NOW, send blender and other programs like that to hell
I would but AI art looks so synthetic. I can tell it's been generated by AI. It has no unique characteristics. It has no unique style. Also, there's no creative freedom with AI. When I ask it to do something specific, it changes the whole image. I'm not against using AI until it is first of all ethical to use and isn't copying the hard work of millions of other artists. Second it doesn't look so synthetic. Third, gives me full control over the art work. Even if it did do that some day, I like putting the effort and making something from scratch. Makes me feel accomplished. And the final render has some of my personality in it. I don't think AI can replace that anytime soon
