@@87398 do you remember those worms that controlled several members of starfleet in a 2 episode special. they were supposed to be the original borg. the only reason they were canned is because the level of special effects for that kind of enemy were way too costly and was much easier to do the mechanical humanoid hybrid type.
The author needs to make up their mind. Does the Elysium have enough firepower to defeat a small armada? Or is it weak enough to be destroyed by a small handful of scavengers? Obvious inconsistencies like this ruin most of these sci-fi stories.
@@MiddletonJeff wait a moment. Channel description states that people connected to the channel wrote the stories. So in this case we can blast them directly. As we criticize "their" creation. Not the owner of the voice assuming he is not an author. Plus they deserve extra shit for lying. It is obvious they don't write their stories but use AI to do it. This is why these stories are so low quality. Tempo changes for no reason, descriptions make no sense, lack of logical connections between situations happening, stupidity like sounds and shockwaves in space...
The ending needs a little more work. Other than that, a pretty good story. With all those bays a collosal ship like that would have some fighters, Corvettes, Destroyers and maybe even a Battleship.
Another great begining of a possible series but so far none of the story writers have taken up the gauntlet to do just that! If their imaginations are so good to start, they should be able to create additional chapters to flesh them out. This one just read could be known as chapter one of "The Elyssium Saga"
Well...ok...not sure how to rate this short story. No need to repeat comments from below. I love Sci-Fi anyways, even if poorly written. thanks for sharing, never-the-less.
God more bad AI writing. Empty space doesn't have a smattering of asteroids. Sensors at max wouldn't strain the hull. Then later it's on visual, so what stealth?
Why do the narrators of these stories, yourself included, always portray the voices of elderly leaders as somewhat weak, slow and quavering? So stereotypical and yet, so wrong. The story line has limited potential, it will do okay as a "one and done", maybe.
While I love the concept of the genre, the delivery on this platform is a true shit show. Between the AI voiceovers, the AI generated stories, and the half asked cobbled together and poorly thought out story lines written by what seem to be freshmen year high-school students, I'm going back to reading actual books. HFY my arse...
Would you want to live in a space habitat?
Only if it would be big enough.
No because if there were an accident you wouldn't have a snowballs chance.
I would live in one 5 times larger than the red giant star Beetlejuice.
Hell yeah
Depends on how advanced the technology is
I’m sorry but there is only one species that can say “resistance is futile” and they are not insectoid.
some of them might be
only the borg can say that

@@Indrejue interesting indeed, well I will sleep less stupid tonight thanks
What happened to the end of the story?
The sound is cut, but the subtitles are not.

I got the impression of a time delay to get weapons armed and ready. Not very convincing I know.
He didn't write it....
@@MiddletonJeff I know, what he mean is that the Author of the Story was the one that make the mistakes
@@uwe2749 take it up with the author...

"The silence stretched p-"
um... where's the rest of the ending?

The audio cut perhaps 20 seconds prior to the end of your video, good sir.
oops sorry about that! subtitles are still there though!
Not all the subtitles actually
It should be ark. Arc is like a rainbow not a survival ship, like Noah’s ark
technically, rainbows are circles... it would be better to say an arc is like an arch...
Sounds like Rama.
The Arc Commander, says "Unleash the Vulcan VI"
Ummm a moon sized ship, multiple battleships and 5 pirate ships threatened them?🤦ok?🤷🤣🤣
great narration as always
Glad you enjoyed it
Thanks for the story 😊
My pleasure 😊
Great story!

man, that cloaking device took the whole rest of the story with it.
Probably came here long long ago, from a galaxy far far away.
No shockwaves in a vacuum!!

I love your channel because you are a human. I hate AI voice overs.
stories about humans should be voiced by a human!
The “Aliens laughed at humans, until…” titling is getting old fast

Cut shorter at the end was it not?
Find a Ancient relic in Space? Hmmmmm🤔😉🏴☠️🇺🇸✝️ HELLZ YEAH yeehaw lets go
ended to soon
