But this video is not uploaded in HDR, how are we supposed to see the HDR side?
This video isnt shot in hdr, if you converted the hdr footage to standard did you grade it correctly?
May be it was shot in HDR PQ mode , but editing/post processing or rendering wasn’t correctly done as this video is not correctly delivering in hdr mode over RUclips.
questions, what colour profile did you use when you turned on HDR PQ? Was it recorded in neutral with contrast lowered? did you turn on D+ HTP?
Nope. I touched none of those. I believe it must have been standard or auto. I set everything to auto for the test.

@@greenlightstudios3469 yeah i agree. With the hdr mode u do get a bit more dynamic range in my opinion. Certainly a mode to explore more.

I cant say i remember man. I no longer have the r10 as i am using the r6 mark ii now.
But i think the r10 only has 1 hdr mode (i might be wrong, i dont remember sorry!). And this is the straight-out-of-camera hdr video that it got with it.

Can the hdr be color graded?
just as much as the usual canon footage can. nothing extra ordinary or "log-like" capabilities.
I'd recommend the cinestyle technicolor profile for a bit more wiggle room with the grading.

Personally. I prefer the standard footage too as compared to the HdR.
But hdr has a good texture
Hdr is 10 bit 422, so thats mean u can color grade and have great results
Man stander video look good not the HDR
yup i agree. the HDR just doesnt sit very well with me. at least to my eyes. i prefer the standard picture style to the HDR look.
