I've never seen the original Halloween's but I really need to. I've seen both of Rob's versions and I loved the first the sequel was meh didn't think it was terrible but I can tell that it was more HIS world instead of the classic Myers.
He gave it a grosser more perverted look. Micheal isn't insane. He's possessed. Watch the producers cut of Halloween six. Unless you go by the h2O timeline. I definitely love the originals. I do think rob zombie is a good filmmaker. He just needs an original idea which is extremely hard nowadays.

Giving a back story was the stupidest thing ever ! If you give a monster a soul the monster ain't scary anymore ! Plus there wasn't one likeable sympathetic character in it. I was actually cheering for michael to kill the annoying horrible girls.

I watched the first one of Rob Zombies and it was so cliché over sexualised, sadistic and just over kill when it comes to gore and the straight up rape scene (which was where I turned off the TV) all that to make up for the fact there was absolutely no suspense or levels to the films

All of Michaels series make PERFECT SENSE. There is videos where Jamie Lee Curtis ( Lori Strode) talks about Halloween 1,2, H20 and resurrection. THEY ALL MAKE SENSE!!

Here’s the problem with Rob Zombie’s remake. He made Michael Myers too human in his version. As seen in Carpenter’s classic, he doesn’t give Michael too much story to show how he is more of a force of evil rather than a man. It develops the whole boogeyman aspect of Michael. Rob Zombie ruined Michael Myers!! Deal with it!
The originals are the originals. The remake/reboots as such. In all fairness the originals are quite slow. Zombies Halloween 1 was straight in there no messing. Carpenters h2 was for me the one that did the best at creating that spooked out wtf! 4 and h20 quality films. Zombies 1 is quality u can't say otherwise. The 2018 effort was decent aswell . looking forward to the new one that should have been released this year
