I think his remake of the original Halloween was wicked. Made Micheal Myers wicked evil, massive and totally jacked. Story was awesome. Gore was awesome. I'm a horror fanatic. Nothing since the exorcist still today I've yet to find.
Honestly his version of Micheal Myers was hands down the scariest. He may not have been the silent stalker style that the original was but the way he was so brutal made him that much scarier
Dear Rob Zombie, your 2007 film Halloween is an unrivaled masterpiece to this day. As a big Michael Myers fan like many others, I would like to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for your hard work and I would like to thank each and every one of your team who worked on the film. Jason Blum and David Gordon Green have come nowhere near achieving what you have created.
Thats an unpopular opinion these days, however my opinion aligns with yours somewhat. I agree that his Halloween is an unrivaled masterpiece but thanks to Carpenter, who I assume is his way of being a hater of his success from the 1st Rob Zombie Halloween being more successful than any of his installments even though he was cool with Rob remaking it then turned around and trashed his vision of the movie even though Rob did exactly as he said make it his own movie without taking away from the story. Also Dimension, which I assumed after hearing Carpenter's distaste for his first Halloween decided to come in and take over Halloween 2 and screwed Rob over which is why Rob said he was done after part 2 and it turned out no where near as good as his 1st. Since then Rob has caught a bad rep as a director and writer. Now for the Blumhouse movies they're good movies and even better than Carpenter's 3rd forward movies but they don't touch Rob's 1st Halloween.
Well that's the thing trying to one up Rob Zombie and trying to be better than him is like a serial killer copycat trying to one up and try to be better than The Zodiac Killer or Jack The Ripper.
George Miller and Rob Zombie both need to come together to make a movie. That collaboration would be epic! Even if it’s just another Mad Max them two guys need to make a movie together 👍🏻
Or he could make the movie. Since Tarantino’s more of a drama/action movie maker and he’s a horror genre guy. I guess it depends on how you want your Manson movie
There’s a rawness and realness that Rob Zombie captures in his films that makes them so much more terrifying compared to nowadays super natural films and even other slasher films. I started watching his movies when I was like 10 and have loved them ever since
I think that Rob Zombie knows that most people fake laugh and fake enthusiasm you know? I mean he’s been in music and entertainment industry for how many years now
Go see this man in concert if you haven't already, well worth the experience. His live shows are on a different level, basically an hour long live music video. Saw him at Pointfest back in 2011 or 2012.
Saw this when I was 12 in the theatre. I remember it being very colorful, suspenseful, and grotesque. It was one of the best scary movies I’ve ever seen.
I remember my brother buying his CD after edge using one of his songs for his entrance. I was probably only 12 at the time. Listening to him now that I’m 30 I’m loving this guy. This man is definitely an articulate artist.
Universal Studios: "Hey, let's make a movie with Rob Zombie called HOUSE OF A THOUSAND CORPSES!" Then it wraps and they're like: "WE CAN'T RELEASE THIS!!" What the hell were they expecting? A skeleton dangling on a string, and a candle floating across the room...also on a string? With a theremin? LOL
I guess those guys were expecting something like “Scream” (which was released 4 years earlier) and “House” was not that at all. And ironically then, Universal would release “Hannibal” a year later after booting Rob and his producer and everyone out in 2000.
I still remember when his Halloween remake came out I was 10 years old. I loved Halloween holiday, scary movies everything I thought I was tough as shit. Until I watched his Halloween remake which made me shit bricks that night. I had never seen such horror I was hooked immediately. Plus Dragula is a kick ass song.
HO1C is Definitely in my top 5 horror movies ever. Very immersive backwood hillbilly stuff. And He’s such a good genuine dude. I hope he keeps making new ones
Hes smart but hes definitely talked out of his ass before and been led by his ego when it comes to movies. That's why he hasn't made a good one since 2009
Honestly I didn’t like how he gave Michael Myers a backstory I thought it kind a wrecked the feel and when he made Michael Myers talk at the very end of the 2nd movie😕. The originals and how Michael Myers never spoke made him an amazing terrifying Sociopathic Monster and reminded me of Jaws for some reason... unrelenting unstoppable beast
House of 1,000 Corpses reset the horror movie genre. I remember seeing it at a theater in Hollywood when it came out. A midnight showing. Sitting 2 rows ahead of me and my friend was Edward Furlong from Terminator 2. Good times for sure.
That’s crazy. I was born in 01 and grew up watching the movie and it’s still one of the most disturbing movies I’ve seen till this day in my opinion. Wish I coulda seen the great films that came out prior to the late, mid 2000s in theaters.
@Jessica Zane. HO1000C was indeed kinda of a shitty movie but devils rejects was definitely on to something kinda special. But it still was inches away from something that was truly special.
House of a 1000 Corpses has the right amount of B movie schlock but it also is able to build a genuinely unsettling atmosphere with good scares throughout. First time I watched it I was a kid and rented it from the video store. I was expecting some cheesy movie but it scares the f"ck out of me lmao
@Seth Organs It's ironic, dickhead. It took you two seconds to write but that's still two seconds wasted if you write dumb bullshit no one cares about. "I just know it sounds stupid", wow man you do? Really? How fucking talented of you.
Zombie truly knows his horror. I love The Devils Rejects and I think his first Halloween movie is pretty good. He’s brilliant visually as a director. I think he needs to work with a really good script from someone else though. I think he could be a great director but he’s not a great writer.

@Black Toof his brother saw a little mainstream success too with Powerman 5000. They were big for a hot minute back in 99-00.
They use electronics to make the voice like that.
I was one of 3 people in the theater. I watched it when it came out. Still my favorite movie of All time. “But, I don’t drive cross country!”
😂😂 3 ppl in the theater. Sounds about right
I think his remake of the original Halloween was wicked. Made Micheal Myers wicked evil, massive and totally jacked. Story was awesome. Gore was awesome. I'm a horror fanatic. Nothing since the exorcist still today I've yet to find.
Martyrs is way scarier than Exorcist.
@@wesjaguar which one the 2008 or 2016?
@@dibbage The original Martrys. The newer one is trash.
Same...thought he did a great job
Honestly his version of Micheal Myers was hands down the scariest. He may not have been the silent stalker style that the original was but the way he was so brutal made him that much scarier
What did people expect with a title, "A house of a 1,000 corpses?"
And now Universal is releasing all the Blumhouse movies.
This year one of the scare houses at universal is house of a thousand corpses.
Damn that sucks but its interesting how it turned out
Thomas Banks they’ve had it from years ago they just brought it back
what an exaggerated title
Blumhouse is trash, best thing they’ve made is Halloween because of John Carpenter’s involvement
And I second this comment
Lmfao...His Halloween remakes are garbage.
😂😂😂
Joe: smacks lips, cough, laugh, throat clear, sniff, repeat.
this fuckin comment 😂😂
Lmfaooo
“Be vague & look cool” words to live by 😂
George Miller and Rob Zombie both need to come together to make a movie. That collaboration would be epic! Even if it’s just another Mad Max them two guys need to make a movie together 👍🏻
He needs to play Charles Manson in a Tarantino movie.
Once upon a time in Hollywood, the not totaly fucking boring second part
Or he could make the movie. Since Tarantino’s more of a drama/action movie maker and he’s a horror genre guy. I guess it depends on how you want your Manson movie
Tarantino did do a horror movie
Dust till dawn is so dope!
Didn't he write dusk til Dawn?
There’s a rawness and realness that Rob Zombie captures in his films that makes them so much more terrifying compared to nowadays super natural films and even other slasher films. I started watching his movies when I was like 10 and have loved them ever since
I love how the best metal artists are serious nerds. So well spoken, thoughtful and humble.
he is like duncan trussel from 20 years from now.
Na Duncans a douche bag
He kinda reminds me of justin chancellor and rick grimes
Stee C why do you think Duncan is a douche?
Duncan on a bad trip
Only gayer!
Rob Zombie is actually a very charismatic guy
I think that Rob Zombie knows that most people fake laugh and fake enthusiasm you know? I mean he’s been in music and entertainment industry for how many years now
A true American cult classic 👌
My mother even liked it. And she doesn't like anything.
What movie?
@@historyncie220 Title dude
Love rob zombie. Living dead girl such a sick song and his movies I love em all.
Go see this man in concert if you haven't already, well worth the experience. His live shows are on a different level, basically an hour long live music video. Saw him at Pointfest back in 2011 or 2012.
PointFest rules 🤘
Just seen this man in concert last night, such a legend!
*saw
Saw this when I was 12 in the theatre. I remember it being very colorful, suspenseful, and grotesque. It was one of the best scary movies I’ve ever seen.
This guy could play Charles Manson in a Tarantino movie.
Casual Fighting Fan lowkey he looks like a charles manson/ otis from the devils rejects
He could play Charlie in a ROB ZOMBIE film!!!
A guy just played Charles Manson in a Tarantino movie who looks the exact same as him.
What an apt description.
I think I heard Tarantino didn't want to give Manson attention in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood
I remember my brother buying his CD after edge using one of his songs for his entrance. I was probably only 12 at the time. Listening to him now that I’m 30 I’m loving this guy. This man is definitely an articulate artist.
LOVE House of 1000 Corpses! One of my favourite movies
Absolutely.
It is my favorite!!!
same. lost count many years ago of just how many times I've watched it. it and snatch, I watched over and over and over for years.
breathe and squeeze the only other movie I too watched over and over again for years was “The Thing”
I should have added devil's rejects too. I wore that dvd out.
My wife HATES that I love the house of 1000 corpse series.
I don't blame her
My mom is enoyed because I'm 10 but my dad's proud and my cousin who is 40 something she's proud also. So no one blame me
My wife enjoyed all 3 with me this past week.
@@ginger3467 somebody's jealous of how hot Sheri Moon is lol it's always women who don't like it, I'm not surprised

LOL
RIGHT? Like wtf did you expect? You’re letting ROB ZOMBIE and his pack of misfits have full reign, of course it’s gonna be wild 😂
I guess those guys were expecting something like “Scream” (which was released 4 years earlier) and “House” was not that at all.
And ironically then, Universal would release “Hannibal” a year later after booting Rob and his producer and everyone out in 2000.
@@adamshows1142 I like Scream and Hannibal, but I'd rather watch House of 1000 Corpses any day!
Legend of a man
Movies and music are badass
buck shot22 his movies suck
Toby Wilson bullshit toby
MrTruboy im definitely not gonna argue that one
His brother’s also hella talented. Check out Powerman 5000.
I love all his movies apart from the Halloween remakes. Looking forward to Three From Hell. RIP, Sid Haig.

this guy seems oddly chill for the stuff he releases
If James cameron listened to Sabbath
Damn, thats a great one
10,000 videos with 0 subscribers oh my gosh yes! Never realized how much he looks like him lol
He needs to be making more horror movies. Love all crazy movies
Joe “what was the conversation like” Rogan
Such a great movie. Also loved his music in twisted metal 3. Great game.
This beautiful man of darkness is truly ahead of his time.

He sounds smarter than I imagined him to be
That whole book cover judging thing
Hes smart but hes definitely talked out of his ass before and been led by his ego when it comes to movies. That's why he hasn't made a good one since 2009
Cody Dixon so you liked Halloween 2? lol

@@juiceboxbzrk eh none of his movies are “good” but they can be entertaining in their own cult following
should have gotten him to talk about getting fired from making the crow 3
Watched every rob zombie movie at least 10 times. I also love his music. Rob is the fucking man
I got fired from a body shop that I now manage 5 years after the fact. Its an awesome feeling.
@erik r HAHAHA
Drank blood(fruit punch) from rob zombie guitar when I was eleven at ozzfest! Crazy dude.
Rob Zombie should direct a movie about snowmobile racing dudes and dudettes circa 1999.
The “house of 1,000 corpses” maze at Universal Studios Hollywood was one of the best mazes there this yr at Halloween Horror Nights!! 🤘🏻
His "Halloween" films are so underrated. My favorites in the franchise.
@Raun Smith Opinions are fun huh?
@Raun Smith That's the first time I've heard that, Most people liked the 1st one but hated the 2nd. Cool to hear different opinions tho
The One Both I feel are awesome
The One They both have different takes on the franchise and that’s a nice change.
I think I've seen that movie and the Devil's Rejects close to at least a hundred times by now
That's just ridiculous.
Jessica Zane what a fucking idiot
@Jessica Zane. HO1000C was indeed kinda of a shitty movie but devils rejects was definitely on to something kinda special. But it still was inches away from something that was truly special.
I can relate to that. Went through a phase of binge watching that film.
Jessica Zane has I’m sure you pray to the devil too
This guy is so funny without even trying I love this dude
Funny like what? Looking?
I remember when Rob Zombie had songs on sled storm and jet moto.. my childhood. Miss it.
Saw him & Disturbed in Bossier City, he was great...
I’m jealous
House of a 1000 is one of my favorite movies ever regardless of genre.
It was awesome
Devils Reject was actually a pretty damn good sequel to house of thousand corpse if not maybe better.. after that it just kind of went weird..
House, was and has become a horror movie classic. In my top 5 horror films for sure!!
I have to say, I REALLY enjoyed ALL of ROB'S Movies! VERY well done!!
House of a 1000 Corpses has the right amount of B movie schlock but it also is able to build a genuinely unsettling atmosphere with good scares throughout. First time I watched it I was a kid and rented it from the video store. I was expecting some cheesy movie but it scares the f"ck out of me lmao
Interesting to see how people, when they get older, relax more and seem to simmer their personas. Rob is actually an intelligent guy.
JOE ROGAN NEEDS to talk about PHIL Schneider look him up!
Joseph Underwood he didn’t commit suicide the gov tried to kill him over 12 times the 13th time is when they got him and made it look like a suicide
Shaulton Daulton I’ll have to look him up. Never have heard of him
Momma Mia it’s very interesting

He’s brilliant visually as a director. I think he needs to work with a really good script from someone else though. I think he could be a great director but he’s not a great writer.
