I’d love you to take a look at MVG’s recent Alien Resurrection (PS1) video through this perspective. I watched in real time immediately after release as it rose from $25-$45 to hundreds of dollars and completely dried up all used copies.
I agree with your assertion that videos do affect pricing and not in the way I expected either. The month after price stagnating or even decreasing is very odd to me, especially with such a large boost coming in month 2. I think it would be interesting to see how negative and positive videos affect prices as well! Great stuff!
This video concept is interesting, but I would be interested in a bit more depth. Specifically, details such as -do certain creators cause more or less change? -Is there any guess how much is the change correlated to the video popularity? -How does a newer video compare to an older video in terms of effect? -Are there any outliers in terms of there being little-to-no effect or an unexpected effect? Additionally, I think you should speak with a slight bit more confidence, I think it would help the viewer believe the point you are trying to argue. Interesting video! I experienced this firsthand once I saw a youtuber play rhythm heaven fever and then the cheapest used one I could find was like 80-90$ 😅
I would posit that with the videos bringing awareness, and with the initial rise in price, people with copies might flood the market trying to make a buck SELLING their copy

I completely agree with this, but it always so surprising to see how even negative videos can affect prices.
