- Ok so this video is "NOT" clickbait! This is truly a strategy that I use to day trade the futures markets mainly the S&P 500 and the NASDAQ. If you trade Ichimoku, you probably trade on the higher time frames thinking that Ichimoku is not good on the lower time frames. Well, I am telling you, I have been making great trades with the strategy used in this video. The strategy can be used in any time frame and it can be used on forex, stocks, cryptos, and futures. Hey Carl. Been playing around with this strategy (among others). Markets at the moment are a bit of a nightmare for swing trading. I trade crypto; interestingly, my charts never looked as smooth as yours - I tried the 3 min and 5 min. Silly me, I didn't appreciate the difference a tick chart makes. The nearest option in crypto is range bar candles, which I'd never explored up until yesterday. The difference is that dramatic I'm suspicious - Signals on Ichimoku suddenly look a whole lot smoother and reliable. it's been a huge eye opener observing the markets independent of time, so thank you for your part in pointing me in that direction. Lot of back testing to do first.

For instance what specific timeframe to use for trends and which one to use for entering etc. Also, I saw your video on Trend based Fid extension targets, but what I did not understand out of all the targets which one will it reach when & on what timeframe

Thanks for a great video. Just starting to really get into the ichimoku. Question - Do you ever mark up your charts with support/resistance lines the "traditional" way or do you get that from seeing the flat parts of the ichimoku components. I really like the idea that ichimoku is "one glance" .

Great content, I have a question. What do we do as a scalper when the 5 minute and 15 minute cloud let's say is bearish but the 3 minute has flipped to bullish. Do we need to wait for a higher timeframe such as the 15 minute to flip before taking longs?

Using a TS/KS crossover with cloud confirmation is an effective way to day trade using Ichimoku. What keeps It so simple is also using the KS to help limit risk as a stop. Well done.

Thanks for watching! I measure from wick to wick. I use the higher time frame for overall bias and support and resistance levels.

Thanks for watching and asking questions! I use the 2000 tick chart and then after hours on futures, I use the 2-minute chart. I also used a 5-minute chart in forex so it depends on you. I think the best time frame might depend on what assets you are trading and what time of day you are trading. In the next video, I'll show some time frames and that might help you out. Thanks again.

Excellent video and you are a very good ichimoku teacher. However, I don't understand why you don't tell us the time frame? Is this strategy best use on 1hr or 4hr tf?
I already said in the video I use a 2000 tick chart and a 2 minute time frame when trading futures but the strategy works on any time frame. I trade forex on the daily time frame and I use the same strategy. I have tested it on a 5 minute time frame and another member uses a 15 minute time frame all with success.
