- Join Curtis Zabel with Behind the Bow as he hunts down a buck in the rugged bluff country of Southeast Minnesota. After many unsuccessful hunts he finally connects on a big buck on Halloween with his bow during the rut. All hunts take place during the 2021 Minnesota bow season on public land in SE MN.

You find real peace when you believe in God and His son Jesus. Repent of your sins and ask the Lord to come in your heart. It isn't a religion but a relationship with your Creator. Besides the Bible says there is no peace for the wicked. I care for every bow hunter for deer, so I tell you this. All the game belongs to God, and He gives them to whom He wills. Better to get on His good side so you can be line for a blessing.

I have been hunting that area for years and I will say that there are areas of high pressure and areas with almost no pressure. But if you want to shoot a good one where there is no pressure, get ready for one hell of a walk back to the truck! Great video!

I've been hunting Northern Minnesota for almost 45 years and my brother and I have countless clips of "nothing today" but you keep going and you enjoy every moment God gives you in the woods. My buddy and I are had just our farm we been hunting for ten years that we pull all our wall hangers from do to other guys offering the farm a great lease plan we couldn’t match. We are surrounded by thousands of state land that is surrounded by ag land here in upstate NY. After watching this video you opened our eyes up that we have the impossible in our back yard and it can be done.

Holding out for a true shooter on public is what we really need in this day and age of putting together content on public ground hunting. Passing 130’s on pressured public is a milestone for every bow hunter but is essential for harvesting the giants! Great content!

where in mn did you hunt i grew up there hunting public land. se mn does have some tremendous areas. i used to hunt the white water state park area ( 4000) acres, then you have down by preston, harmony ,and lanesboro . just to name a few . great areas. im in iowa now though with access to 750 priate acres. will be going back to min to do another public land hunt as well. great vid. the mississippi river valley from winona to lacross has some great areas as well.

Just from first glance, it looked square perfect in the pocket but of course opposite side was shoulder or leg that it didn’t get a pass through. But great shot, and great patience. Congrats!

Thanks man! Not sure if I was on that podcast tho ha. Not sure what you’re looking to spend but a Sony or Canon DSLR matched with the the right lens will be an upgrade in quality if used properly but it is less efficient and harder to self film with.
