Good news, they have forever homes with loving parents, now. They get a chance. Amen. And happy fathers day to every dad that steps up for all the kids that have never had one.

Yeah America has already been doing this prison nonsense (not me America 😂) but my country. In California I know they allow biological men in women prison. When I heard this I honestly felt a disgusting feeling in the pit of my stomach (not joking about that). Men are here to protect women not put them in prison together with men to be raped and hurt.

My nephew died in jail after being arrested for an unpaid parking ticket. They refused to allow him to take his inhaler with him nor would they provide him with an inhaler. The stress & anxiety of the entire thing caused an asthma attack and he suffocated to death.
One of my friends died in the Bexar County jail because she was 7 months pregnant & taking methadone for pain. She had broken her back prior to becoming pregnant & methadone is the least harsh prescription opiate for pain. She was arrested for an unpaid redlight ticket that her ex husband had gotten in her car that she didnt even know existed. The jail refused to give her, her medication and she went in to severe withdrawals which resulted in her going in to premature labor. When she told them she was in labor they told her she was pretending to get out of the cell & go to the hospital. Her baby ended up dying inside of her & within hours she was dead as well...
& after her death I did research on deaths in jails involving methadone & medications being withheld and it was utterly shocking how many ppl die in county jail because the jail refuses to allow inmates access to their prescribed medication. The most common being insulin & pain management meds.
Funny theyll jump thru hoops to get ppl non fatal medical attention but those who have life threatening illness are not provided with lifesaving medical treatment at all.

They don't let anyone take their meds in county jail, people who don't have life threatening issue live until they get to jail proper, then they get their meds eventually, if they're lucky.
It's not like they are giving hormones to trans people instead of inhalor for asthmatic.

@Leland Hi. I don't get why Sydney felt it necessary to say she took her 'jumper' off because it's getting too hot in there....... anyway❓
I didn't hear anything in this relative long video anything referring to the abuse possibilities in a male jail towards guys who look rather female.
So, it seems a trans-man is in some extra risk of abuse from an all male jail and a trans woman could dish out the abuse in a female jail‼️
So, separate jail for trans folks of all types⁉️
It's like the bathroom thing...... a guy who looks very female goes into the male bathroom and gets questioned OR a woman looking very male possibly even gets raped.
On the other hand a guy who looks very female goes into the female bathroom might rape someone and a female who looks very male goes into the female bathroom scares the females.
Slightly confusing but all of life is nuance...... maybe a good solution is having bathrooms in bigger public places with no walls but stalls that can be locked (alot like they are now)‼️ But of course smaller places like Doctors offices, etc. bathrooms lock inside 😬
It's just having to go to piss and shit, what's the big deal⁉️😨

As usual, "trans rights" are manifesting as _actual_ *toxic masculinity.* It is utterly _absurd_ that anyone anywhere even _considered_ allowing men in women's prisons. That first guy who unintentionally opened the door should've been turned down for his application, regardless of how he "felt." I don't want people getting hurt or suffering abuse, but the whole point of prison is that you are _no longer free_ to make such *frivolous* life choices like, "I think I'll be a woman today." It's _prison._ Grab some barbells and man the eff up b/c you should not _expect_ special treatment. I'm female, and I guarantee you if I ever got sent to prison for something (God forbid!) the _first_ thing I'd do is hit the gym!...especially with all the _dudes_ in there.

this stuff in prisons doesn't get talked about enough because we're discussing people who are criminals, but as you mentioned, majority of women aren't in prison for violent crime. so you have non-violent offenders who, at least some of the time, have sexual trauma in their past, and they're being forced by the state to be housed with men.

However, sadly, several chickens have recently gone missing, and some have been found mangled and half-eaten. We're all at a loss for what could be causing it. I do hope we figure it out soon before anymore chickens are mutilated!

In fact, the people that wrote it would be against keeping people in jail for life, that would be cruel and unusual, instead opting for execution. This is actual law school material, about how the elite wanted clean streets so even homeless were imprisoned to make sure they didn't have to look at these drifters... Many crimes that lower classes do (because of low income, or stress because of no income at times) lead to prison sentences, while rarely white collar crimes are caught. Cruel and unusual is supposed to be excessive compared to the crime. Putting trans-women in anything for biological women is cruel. Basically telling biological women that they don't count as real people, by putting the wants of trans-women above the needs of biological females. Prison, and sports, should be based on biology and DNA, not 'feelings'.
If they want to destroy what gender is, then they really need to make things based on sex.
Gender used to be based on sex... because some words are gendered for identification. Mister refers to a man, so it is a gender word. Missus refers to a woman, so it is a gender word. Boy refers to a male child, so it is a gender word. Girl refers to a female child, so it is a gender word. Even male and female are gender words. The point to gender words is to identify the gender of the person being referred to. He took a walk. She wants to dance. He asked her out on a date. They are not assigned based on stereotypes or personality, they are purely a reference to the person's sex. But, if they really want to kill the word 'gender'... let them, just make all the stuff based on biological sex.
If they really want to give these people special treatment, take some of the prisons and make them for transgenders. The result, there would be male prisons, female prisons, transgender-male prisons, and transgender-female prisons. Then do the same with sports, bathrooms, and whatever else they want. If they want special treatment, give them special treatment... just don't do it at the cost of others.
I'm sad that my tax dollars are being used to torture women.

@@MddHound Well, it was jail, not prison. Most people don't know there is a difference, but there is. Jail can hold a person for maximum of 3 years, and holds people who still haven't even gone to trial yet. Prison is for those who have already been sentenced to longer terms. As for my own mental scars, I actually found it therapeutic and relaxing, which may seem weird. My own theory on the matter is that based on the environment in which one develops acclimates them to a certain level of hostility and chaos. My suspicion is that criminal behavior patterns are a result of adapting to said environments and subconsciously trying to calibrate the circumstances of their life to maintain the environment to which they are acclimated.

That could be one condition for allowing a male-to-female inmate into a female prison to ensure the safety of the entire prison population in a prison, but there is also another aspect to consider.
Not all sexual violence in a prison is what most people think of when they are told "sexual violence in prison". For example, most people think of what rape commonly is, but forgets that the criminal act in itself takes on various forms, and doesn't necessarily require the presence of a male to be classified as such an act. Technically, any woman can be at the risk of sexual violence to her by any other woman in the prison - it's just that not all women prison are sexual predators or even inclined to commit such an act, but sometimes those people ARE within the prison population, regardless of whether you choose to accept this or not.
So when developing a response strategy to this problem, it would be necessary to keep in mind it's not JUST an issue of allowing potential male predators into a female prison, but also that female predators ALREADY exists WITHIN the prison population. You also have to keep in mind that ACTUAL relationships may also exist between inmates, and that wrongful targeting of such people is just as bad as perpetuating an emerging bad stereotype.
That's only the surface-level issues I can PERSONALLY spot about this, and people who are more informed about this could probably add a lot more layers to this issue. :/

@@sigmacademy I see your point, but the truth is that a male raping a woman is much more terrifying because then that victim could become pregnant. Then the woman has to either raise an entire human created by a rapist, put them up for adoption, or suffer an abortion. Women can't impregnate other women. Also, it is much easier to fight somebody who is your same sex when trying to defend yourself.

Sydney, I have been so impressed by this program (I've been harboring feelings and ideas you boldly presented, live and in color) that I immediately opened up my browser and watched it again on the big screen (I was watching it first time on my phone, because ... phone). This is an alarming situation from a number of perspectives.
First, if we're going to start worrying about sexual predators in women's prisons from men who "claim" to be trans just so they can spend their prison time surrounded by real women, shouldn't we also concern ourselves about all the same-sex rape that goes on in men's prisons. Doesn't the 8th Amendment apply to guys who are made some behemoth's bitch or who are used as play toys, passed around groups of ugly, horny men?
If we want to be fair, let's be fair. However, if men "masquerading" as women in prison are an easier, more logical target, let's start there ... but let's also make this apply equally to all sexual predators behind bars, as well as equally to all sexual victims behind bars as well.
Frankly, I resent those men who pretend to be women to gain some advantage not otherwise available to them. I mean, when Bruce became Caitlyn Jenner a few years ago, I can't imagine what benefit s/he'd gain from this. But when some hulkin' New Zealand weightlifter got too old to be competitive as a man, he conveniently "switched" his allegiance and became competitive as a woman. Or all the young men who can't quite "make it" as a top male athlete, then who suddenly and conveniently discover they're women and become, well ... Lia Thomas.
Title nine was created because women could not compete with men, but still had the right to compete. For fifty years, it seems to have worked well ... until just recently, when trans women stole their spotlight, and their gold medals. Why true feminist organizations aren't getting bent out of shape over this is beyond me. Also, the whole notion of "transitioning" seems to have shattered the best reason Gays and Lesbians had for defending their status - "I was created this way, I can't help it." But the trans say, "I wasn't born like this - I choose to be this way.
I could go on, but ... you get it all, and say it better, than I can do. Keep up the good work, and keep watching out for Pudding People. Although now I feel guilty every time I want to eat some pudding ... (ducking and running and - yes - absolutely joking)

Yes, there are many who would say that criminals "deserve it" and we pretend to believe the myth of an "honor among thieves". But not dealing with this issue means the difference between James coming out of prison as a reformed young man and coming out looking for his own victims.
    How is that justice?
Now, we have made an already bad situation a million times worse. All believing again in this mythical "honor among thieves" garbage. Or should we say honor among trans. Believing the myth that "no one lies about being trans", not even criminals. And it's worse someone is trans.

For the big time offenders like murderers, rapists, child abusers etc. I think it’s deserving. I wish capital punishment still existed here in Canada. But thievery and small petty crimes? Yeah I’d give them another chance at least. If someone takes another persons life or quality of life, they don’t deserve theirs.

@@LauraR0ckzLolz They may deserve it, but the state can't be trusted to make that determination. Too many people have been proven innocent years after their conviction.

Each time Sydney's dog is on camera, it has a similar expression to my dog when I'm being extra weird. "You are a weird human."
My dog isn't wrong, by the way. 😂

I have heard that men in men's prisons also get beaten up and sexually assaulted in prison. Should they all go to the women's prison?

@Neria Wolf in prison ? It’s more common for men to be raped..
RUclips has a documentary called “Turned out”
      You should go watch it
      * I’m not one for trigger warnings but... that documentary has graphic descriptions of rape and sexual assault by the perpetrators and victims
      So just... prepare yourself

@Neria Wolf Who is trivialising it?
I would actually think in more common in male prisons than the female ones at least until they started housing biological men in the women's prisons. But as always no one cares when its a dude.

@Neria Wolf There's nothing trivial about men in prison being assaulted. Stating a sad fact that everyone is in a bad situation in prison does not make me an assaulter. We must try to help people when we can so less people go into the prison system. Then nobody has to suffer.

A message to all the guards in these prisons, pray that no woman from my family comes to you,
I come from a culture where the payment for what happens to someone in your family goes to everyone who did and everyone who didn't help, and the payment is tenfold

I don't have a dog but I want one and I genuinely considered fighting some asshole for his last night because he was yelling at her, yanking on her leash, and banging her into walls and doors. The dog was legitimate frantic and she was such a sweet dog and I was livid
