Well said. He actually was annoyed with his cornerman for immediately jumping on him to celebrate ; he was solely concerned in that moment with his fellow fighter. Says a lot about his character. Thoroughly deserved winner and , as a fellow Englishman , glad to have him as a world champ.

Pray for me." What kind of mindset is that? Shouldn't need to be prayed for. Then during his walkout he looked like he knew he was going to lose, he was not confident at all. Can't have that mindset in boxing...

Yes you can condition to a certain degree, but conditioning and sparring is totally different. You can be the, bravest, the smartest, train harder than anyone else, but if you have fragile whiskers you will always get found out. AJ has been found out loads of times, the bell, and catching his opponent’s at the right moment where he has been extremely fortunate to get away some victories. AJ has done brilliant, Olympic champion, two times world champion, a multi millionaire, that’s not to shabby. So called experts, are so blind to see this. How the f was AJ a huge favourite, I had him to lose rounds 1-3. It was the bell just saved him again. I missed out on a nice bit of bunce 🤣. DDD loss against JJ, was a sensible decision, you can call him a quitter if you want, but hey, he could have gone blind. I also believe his body shot was legal and got robbed. This deflated DDD and with engine that blew out of gas he gave up. DDD has a good chin, desire and has the tools to go on to be really good. How far is the question. Great show 🥊

Josh opens up about his feelings and Carl shoots him down.

I respect Carl. Great to see someone who has been there at the top level create a channel that has the experience of walking the walk. I would slightly disagree that the Ruiz fight brought Joshua's self doubt. I had a small bet that Ruiz would win by KO that night. Ruiz was brave, had a good chin with fast hands and shots that came in bunches - Just what Joshua didn't need. For me the doubts surface after the Klitcho fight. Yes he came back brilliantly to win but he was shown to be very vulnerable both with his stamina and his chin. Remember how worried and fazed he looked on his ring entry to the first Ruiz fight.. Yeah his self belief had drained away even before a punch was thrown against Ruiz. I hate to say it but Joshua was a good fighter but not a great fighter.. Fury has been a bit hot and cold but he is the nearest we have had to "Great" since the days of Lennox, Holyfield, Tyson (Mike) etc. You say Joshua has gone backwards, Well, Heavyweight boxing has gone backwards too in many ways.

Interesting to go back and watch your chat with Ricky Hatton a few months ago. You were both giving Dubois a decent chance.

This is superb Carl. I know we can all be smart after the event but superb insight in regards to the corner and how bad the advice was. And you nailed it in regards to AJ post Ruiz, the fire went out that night
