How to create a card tote with one piece of card stock, and coordinating cards.

- This card tote and cards make a great little gift. Perfect for when someone invites you over, or if you want a quick gift for a friend.
For the tote:
Score 8 1/2 x 11
Score vertically 1 1/4” and 7 1/4”
Score Horizontally 4 1/2” and 6 1/2”.
Cut in the score lines at 4 1/2 and 6 1/2 until you reach the 1 1/4” score line.
Designer Series Paper: 2 pieces of 4 1/2" x 3" One for each side.
Ribbon 18" for each handle.
Cards:
Card Base 5 1/2 x 5 1/2". Score at 1 1/4"
Emboss 5 1/2 x 1 1/4" strip.
Designer Series Paper 4" x 5 1/4"

I love this idea. I'd love to size it to put in an envelope and surprise my pen pals with a card in a bag.
That is something I will have to play with. Would your card be smaller than a typical card to all fit in an envelope?

OMG Kristen you made my day. This is adorable...and matching cards? Wow. I have sets of A2 cards with their envelopes ready for pal gifts. BUT..matching cards might have to re-start those gifts! 😉 Thanks so much!! And another option if you're looking for a challenge might be same thing sized for either mini slimline or slimline cards?

I would like to make this tote but a bit smaller for just 4 or 5 cards to fit nicely in.
4 cards with envelopes fits nice. That is what I usually give.

Could u use some cardboard 2 reinforce the inside bottom of the card tote?

Thanks! You sure could add some card board to reinforce it. It isn't really needed for just cards, but if you wanted to put something heavier it would be a good idea.

Lovely but simple cards and such a clever tote! Thanks for sharing. Is the embossing folder used on the cards perhaps the one from Sale-a-Bration rather than the one from the Basics pack?
good eyes, I used the Sale-A-Bration one,and then did some with the basics embossing folder and mispoke They look great with either one.
This is beautiful. I noticed that you don't list the items you use in creating this ie: the scoring mat, the glass mat etc. I
