I'm a new subbie. This video came up on my HOME FEED. I love to make cards for my family & friends. I would never have bought that first background stamp!! But after seeing how you used it, I want that stamp!!! So I bought it and one other. And added several to my Wish List!
Just a thought, with the melted gold layer on 1st card, I'd leave it and ink up the edges and distress it for a different style. I make vintage journals, so I've started incorporating the vintage look into my cards. So a messed up cardstock makes me think "Vintage". Your gold 50th Anniversary card is amazing!! And the monochrome black one is fantastic!!! All your cards are fabulous! I'm excited to see what else you do on your channel. Your cards are so unique and cool. But not so complicated that I know I couldn't do it. Very HAPPY to find your channel. It's exciting to find a new channel I really like. And your video is so well done. I’m really liking these background stamp videos! I’ve never tried heat embossing on metallic cardstock. It looks really nice, but I am a silver person I’ll have to try that. I have a stunner silver sparkle embossing powder I’ve used on black that’s awesome
Such a GREAT colored square card! Love that! I need to use black cardstock! But I need more first. I use Hero Arts pitch black and it’s often out of stock. And I never remember. Lol
I learned when working with very delicate iridescent embossing powders that my regular black heat gun was too hot. I bought one of the small white heat guns like Tim Holtz uses that run cooler but get the job done without destroying the powder.

The racing card and the last are my favorites. I never would have expected the gold to curl like that.
As I say, I've never had the problem with other metallics, so it may be that the iridescent coating on that one is what made the difference. Part of me wanted to keep heating just to see what might happen... lol! Thanks for watching!
