Great video! Having been to several steam shows in the USA. I hope to attend a few steam fairs in the UK some day. As an old threshers saying " Steam is King!"

Myself and my brother travel on scooters to the scooter rally which runs on the same weekend. We always do the steam on a Sunday and really look forward to it. A great surprise to find this video!

When I seen the bing of coal it reminded me of my 17 years as a house delivery coal man, nothing worse than a Monday morning with a hangover and 2 or 3 railway wagons of coal coming into the coal rea , usually each wagon held between 12\14 ton, that had to be bagged out for a certain time or the merchant had to pay a demurrage fee, sometimes in the cold winter's we used get years ago,we would have to light fires underneath the wagons that had travelled up to Scotland from mid and northern England and had frozen solid inside the wagon so when you opened the door nothing came out as the coal was frozen solid, as was the coal bagged the previous day in the old Hessian bags,it was like trying to empty bags of sticky toffee into the coal bunkers haha.

@@Casterton-Vintage yes when I think about it now, I remember even loading the lorry myself, swinging 20 bags on one side, getting up on the lorry and packing them from the other side and back down and the same again till I had loaded whatever I neaded for the run while another guy was bagging, I was never muscle built, always skinny, but as you said it kept me fit haha.
