Like wise I've never been to the show, but a nice selection of tractor's i must say , and a lot of hours in the workshop between them and late night's or is that just me 😮

I think some of us enjoy the workshop time more than show time 👍

Thanks for this video, I've not been to Woolpit even though we aren't far away, looks a like a good day out so might consider entering an exhibit next year. What stands out is the range of implements that folk have brought along, always nice for the public to see what was used to grow and harvest our food back then, more shows should really try and encourage this.
I think the DB 2D is an Industrial, with this particular example used for shunting in a lorry yard, I think this is the same one as was at Stradsett in May.
    Thanks again, HowardT

I believe the saw that was cutting the log with the back and forth motion, was called an Ottawa saw. ?

The program calls it a Unique Charcoal Retort Co dragsaw 4HP 1940. Google doesn't help much. I have a dragsaw in the shed that my grandad used for firewood. It hasn't run for years but it might be time for a play! 😊

At around 14'52 you say about the Société Française 302 ‘built in Vierzon that it was unsuccessful and went bankrupt!
This threshing machine manufacturer, founded by Celestin Gérard in 1847, had no heirs. In 1889, he sold the company to Lucien Arbel, who bought it and formed a joint stock company, SFMAI. Around 1930, he was inspired by the Lanz principle, and built single-cylinder, semi-diesel tractors whose simplicity and robustness suited threshing contractors. 9400 of the 302s shown here were built between 1950 and 1957. A lighter, more manoeuvrable model, the 201, was built over the same period, with more than 10,000 units produced. But the system was outdated after 1957, and SFV hardly innovated. Like its big brother, Lanz, SFV was bought by an American company,, Case, which delivered the end-of-series models and took on its orange and beige colours. In 1959 Case replaced its 4-stroke diesel models and offers its series 30 for sale, only F200 medium-density balers and backhoe loaders are manufactured in Vierzon until 1995.

      Super video again here.
It's always good to see and hear these old machines running on a show field.
The fact that someone kept them and didn't sell them to me scrap man is a great bonus in this day and age.
Some of us have fond memories of some of these old pieces of agricultural history.
