I totally agree with you. Most videos on style are way over the top for my lifestyle. I work from home and live next to the countryside.
This video is great for a more polished look whilst being active, hiking, etc. in the countryside.

This is the look I wore in the 60s and early 70s in New England when I lived in Boston as a college student and in the countryside an hour away later. We wore tweed blazers and shooting jackets with suede shoulder and elbow patches for bird hunting with our pointers, just as we did when visiting my parents in Surrey England hunting and riding. The style was universal then. It is such a timeless look. It was comfortable, warm and practical for country life. It still is where I live now in the mountains of Guatemala in coffee finca country. I found it a shock when I first moved here in retirement to find British expats and Guatemalan hacendados...finca owners...often dressing like English country dwellers, but since it is a look I am so comforatble with, I repurchased my favorites to wear here November through mid February. They feel like old friends. Holland Cooper makes the most beautiful countrywear in my opinion. This style just lasts and lasts and goes on forever. My British stepfather used to say a young man bought his Harris tweeds while at university and they lasted him a lifetime letting them in and out and reweaving when necessary. He frowned upon newly reupholstered antique chairs, and new clothing in general. I found him old fashioned but a great deal of fun, like a beloved quirky character in a British novel. He thought Americans' penchant for new everything very wasteful...now older myself, I think he was right. There is far too much fast fashion for my taste NOW. Happy to see this video.

I live in North Carolina in the US and in the Fall, I wear this look a lot in my area of the country but my taste tends toward solid colors and not plaids. I like the puffer vests (quilted gilets) with leggings or jeans and my boots tend to be shorter, either ankle boots or booties. We don’t wear hats here but tend to wear hoods attached to our vests or nothing at all. It’s much warmer here than the UK, although I’m cold natured. I wear a puffer jacket in winter with gloves and an attached hood. I love your vlog and I love fashion!

Not frumpy at all, exudes an active feminine woman. I was at home lounging in an outfit similar to #5, when I noticed a new neighbor unloading her Uhaul by herself, in the rain. I put a scarf and gloves on and went to help her. After we were done getting her items in her apartment she commented on how stylished I looked.
Growing up this was the style we wore to church and lounging at home. I still wear it today just don’t leave the house much, lol

Not frumpy just classic good taste love the tweed look and wax jacket I have a Barbour jacket it's practical and yet stylish. The jackets are very flattering and tweed is a favourite of mine for autumn and if it snows then you could put an oversized waterproof Cape on

I am in the US, and wear styles very similar to these to be casual but with a little more polish. I have found all my better quality tweed blazers on eBay - mostly Ralph Lauren. Love the look.

Great video and, of course, the model is what we all adore - such style and class. For us here in the states, I think this is a little bit overstated and heavy because I’m in CA and our weather is just too warm for most of this but we certainly can pull off the vest, blazer, jacket, and button down shirt. The boots, of course, are great but rather warm for most of our “cold” season. Loved this, thank you.

I live in Louisiana which is considered country/southern in the USA. Country style here is people wearing horrendous hunting camo, baggy jeans, cowboy boots, and an ugly hat.. I have fallen in LOVE with English Country fashion over the past few months and have actually made a few investment purchases for high-class fashion. Like a Holland Cooper cape, a Burberry scarf, and I’m looking for a gorgeous pair of brown leather boots and a nice fitted tweed blazer.
I just bought Penelope Chilvers tassel boots, pricey but highly recommend ( the ones Kate is wearing in the first outfit).
@@shootingstar7374 they’re stunning!! However due to multiple surgeries on my right leg, i find knee high boots are too tight on my right leg. And I’ve tried a LOT. Including wide-calf boots. But I think at the moment I quite prefer ankle boots! I’ve had my eye on the Chloe Gaile ankle boot in the light tan shade. But the black ones are gorgeous too! I’ve had my eye on them for 2 months now but they are quite a more Dressy ankle boot, so I’m still thinking about buying them.

I like this style. I walk as my main exercise and I am trying to find something different than the usual. Instead of the usual athletic shoes, the last boot type would be a welcome change. I live a surburban lifestyle, and love this clothing style. Wear it almost daily, especially de high leather boots, combined with a gilet. And an umbrella, because oh my.. In these northern parts of the Netherlands you don 't want to leave your brollie at home:)
