For the record, I’m not angry one single bit about any of the queer representation. I wish that they would have given it more time and attention, HOWEVER I also think it totally also took away from Colin and Pen (as literally any couple/meet cute moment would) and I was really hoping they’d give Penelope, a non-conventionally attractive lead, so much time to shine.

the bridgerton discourse is so frustrating. like cmon people, the book adaptation always makes pretty major changes of the characters, whether it's replacing them or removing them completely or switching up their arc. them being upset at michael becoming michaela is just blatant homophobia. i dont think they would've cared that much if fran's storyline with michael was removed completely, but god forbid sapphics get something in a popular show.
