Thank you navega!!
Thank you for this it is helpful but I have a question is screaming and panicking ok when pushing?
A lot of people scream during pushing, but you will not want to panic. Pushing takes focused effort and the more calm and focused that you can be the better your pushes will be.
Wouldn’t that wore you out?
premature pushing... why would someone be going through this? Is it from lack of knowledge or could the body be giving a signal to push before cervix is completely dilated?
Yes, it’s when the body gives an early signal.
Is there such thing as pushing too hard? I am 38 weeks pregnant right now and scared for pushing due to my 1st pregnancy 2 years ago i gave birth within 5 minutes all total in labor and pushed just 5 minutes very hard and baby came but i was left with a hemorrhoid and had the hardest time recovering from it
Good question, but tricky! Yes, you can push hard enough to get hemorrhoids, but sometimes it doesn’t matter how hard you push they happen anyway. 2nd babies usually require less effort to push out.
@@birthtoolbox thank you.
I still don’t understand this why do the doctors and nurses say this when pushing pull back behind legs curl around and push into your bottom when pushing I still don’t unicorn why they say that
Great question Hanna! This has become the standard over the years, but being upright if possible is usually so much better.
To piggyback off this question… I am a fourth timer, have pelvic girdle pain plus every time I’m in transition and beyond I lose strength below the waist. I’ve been flipped onto my back and told to push in this way for my second two births, and I just don’t know how to do side lying or other options when I have zero control/strength below the waist. Any pointers?
