Ok but. Why is their inventory not accurate on their website? Why does it ALLOW you to purchase an item, and then turns out its out of stock?? Because only refunding pieces doesnt help anyone. You pick out a set, wtf are you supposed to do with half a swim suit. That is a huge issue that NEEDS to be addressed.
It's very common in retail on online orders it's not specific to that company. Btw I know this as I've worked in retail a long time and it does need a solution which is physical stores typically as you've only got what you've got in store. It occurs when the items are available but people add to cart and pay around the same time so the system isn't able to detect that it will cause an issue. As at the time it was technically available for anyone to buy and is first come first served. It could be that the order was processed 10 seconds before another order so someone loses out. It's kind of solvable as some companies could offer an option similar to thread up so you know it's in someones cart and in conjunction with that the quantity of the items left. However depending on the site it can be unmanageable if there is excessive stock eg boohoo, plt, missguided etc where there's 100s of orders per minute.
It's to do with site refresh options. It's why some sites will only hold your cart items for a certain amount of time (like holiday and airline sites), and others will tell you the stock + how many people have it in their carts (like how Etsy will say "2 available and in 5 people's carts!"). It's also why stores like the Trump merchandise website will say items are sold out simply because it's in someone's cart (but not yet purchased). I say that, because if you really wanted to prevent others from genuinely buying a product, you can sometimes add it to your cart indefinitely, like say with the Trump website 😏 Unfortunately there isn't a standard way to record inventory. Personally I'm a fan on the timed cart because it allows for better stock refresh, but even then it can still be a problem when 2 people order the same product and only 1 item remains.

Just a note: A brand cannot control shipping times. They *can* control how quickly they send it out from their warehouse, but if Canada Post/USPS/FedEx/whatever takes a long time (especially with COVID and especially internationally), that's not on the brand. Once it leaves their warehouse it's on the shipping company. (A seller can always change/upgrade shipping companies but that's an added cost passed along to the customer one way or another.)
Everything has been super slow in Canada because of covid. Right now the average shipping time takes about 2 months to arrive in Canada with USPS. DHL, UPS, Fedex etc dont seem to be too affected.

Okkkkkkay SO I was an OJ dippin daisy customer. I’m talking like 2013 I ordered wholesale for my boutique. I spent THOUSANDS a month on dippin daisy. Elaine was the absolute worst. Terrible customer service, shipping was a hot mess, inventory was incorrect, sizing was incorrect from what I ordered which sucked cause I ordered specific sizes for a reason. So yea. I would never recommend and actually didn’t watch the first video due to like ptsd hahah
Depends on your location. If her boutique is in a beach area it’s probably not a ridiculous amount. Especially because stores have to mark up a bit for convenience and overhead.

That's not really what they are trying to say. It's great that that order was correct, but what people are trying to say is if it wasn't, would that other person have gotten the same accomodation? It honestly pisses me off *SO* much when brands “refund” you by giving you “credit” that you can only use on their website. Man, that’s a trap, not a refund. I expect my money back to my credit card!

It's funny how she's worried about 1 month shipping and I have to wait at least 10 months for a package to arrive to Argentina. It also happened that one of them got lost and I didn't have a refund because de guarantee time was over

I always have to wait like a month or a bit more for things to arrived to Mexico when i order from Shein and the last time I did my order got lost because the delivery company messed up the addres and I had to wait even more and a few items were missing bc they where out of stock since it had been like three months smh I don't get why it was so shocking that it was taking a month when they are not only international but also we are in a pandemic ._.

Edit: I see Mia did an anonymous order to test out the owners claims. So proud of her! I would still be careful with the brand but I’m glad Mia figured a way to check the brand.

That's not really what they are trying to say. It's great that that order was correct, but what people are trying to say is if it wasn't, would that other person have gotten the same accomodation? They only cared to even figure out what went wrong and correct it in the first place because of the following. If a normal person had an issue, would they correct it?

They fixed the problem that they were getting all the criticism for. If it’s a really small business, Mia’s followers leaving fake reviews could ruin her.
Were these actual genuine reviews or were they people who took is upon themselves to make fake reviews and negative comment just cause of the original video? Because it has become way too common for businesses to be attacked by people who have never even shopped with them.

This should be a lesson to all "Karens" out there that if you're a sweet, kind, and honest person and reach out in a gentle way to a company, and give them a chance to right their wrongs, you're more likely to get your issues resolved versus throwing a tantrum! :) It's also a lesson to companies that when they resolve issues promptly and are transparent about what happened the consumer will regain trust in your brand!
