  • Leonardo DiCaprio plays Cobb, an expert Extractor who can steal secrets from dreams. When offered a job that could allow him to return to his family, he assembles a team of specialists. Together, they will perform what most consider impossible...Inception.

I rewatched it stoned the other day. Was the best movie experience ever. Made me realise again how much of a masterpiece it is.

OH GOD your mother is such a sweetheart with such intelligence ahahahaahah I've seen many RUclipsrs who kept focusing on the most unimportant details and losing the main plot while discussing those.. your mother could understand it from the beginning so her reaction gave me such joy!! and in general, I've been watching your channel for the last three days and I just need to say that I love your mother like really ahahahah hope you're all doing well, just wanted to thank you for your sincereness..:)

Regarding the debate over whether the ending is a dream or reality: Keep in mind that the spinning top is not Cobb's original totem, it's Mal's. Cobb's original totem is his wedding ring. Cobb wears the ring in the dream state and doesn't wear it in real life.

But cobb knows it's not his totem but spins it anyways, why? And also, his kids wear the same dress as of his last memory of them, why? And also, in the earlier scenes when he spoke to them over the phone, one of them sounded really mature, there is no way that kid was this small. Iam one of those people who think it's still a dream, as much as I dislike to think it.😅

Inception is one of the greatest science fiction movies of all time. It was something new, fresh, unique, inventive, stylish, cool, edgy, hip, and updated such as the concept and themes. The story, performance's, music, images, direction, action sequences, and cinematography was spectacular and phenomenal. It also identifies and analyzes the boundaries of perception and perspective between reality and fiction. It was decent. To this day I still watch it and I consider it a classic. It never gets old. 😍😎👍💯

How much I had to sell this movie to my father to watch this epicness. And the Dark Knight trilogy and the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Old people are comfortable with their time's art and as I grow old, I understand. Respect to aunty for watching these movies. 🙏🏾 Love from India.

Heh my personal theory, the entire movie is a dream. Think about the vagueness of the threat moving against him, first its some nameless entity, likely corporate in nature, then its the US government, but its never really separated. The dream machines themselves don't make sense outside of dream logic, how is something working via an IV coordinating subconscious and consciousness, etc. But there's subtle moments, like the chase scene after he meets Eames, those walls got *strangely* narrow and tight on him didn't they?
But also, the top was Mal's totem, not Cobbs, he was just using it

It’s hard to pick a favorite Nolan film but this is up there with Prestige and Interstellar for myself. He really knows how to bend reality. As someone who loves Kubrick, I really appreciate the ending of this one leaving things open ended.

There is one thing that infuriates me about the movie and it so throws me out of the movie I just can't with it. I'll just say the ghost behind the books.
