I made my first cover of this song on july 2008. But some stupid corporation erased it on february 8th 2009 cuz I used the original song as backing in my video.
So this is my new version, this time using a FREE backing track.
Its not an easy song to cover, it has a lot of details, I had to practice it again note for note to get ready for this new cover.
This is my favourite song ever. Since Ive Been Loving You was included in Led Zeppelin 3 (1970). And it contains one of the best guitar solos. The feeling that jimmy page put into this solo is just impossible to copy.
When the band was recording this song, its interesting that Jimmy Page just couldnt find the right tone for this solo, and he was so frustrated trying different amps and settings, and nothing would make him happy. At the end, he saw an unpplugged and forgotten amp in the studio... He played one of the best solos ever using that dusty amp (too bad he didnt say what amp was that). Some people thinkg it was a Supro, and it kinda sounds like one, but we can only guess.

Been watching this video ever since this was uploaded and I never came across anybody else who does it the way yu did. I feel really small to even appreciate this, I'm just a nobody but someone who loves this song. Thanks a lot for uploading this cover. I probably will continue to hear this for the rest of my life and I'm sure there are others who feel the same.

There are a lot of people in this world that simply hate everything and most everyone in it. They watch and listen, they have to do something to keep from completely losing their minds. I would think 170 dislikes is very little opposed to 8600 likes. The ratio is definitely low end, so consider your video a huge success.
As a guitarist who's been trying to play this song since it's release, it's a very special treat to find other guitarists who've shared in the love for this true masterpiece. I greatly enjoy your interpretation and am most impressed at the accuracy and all the little special nuances you managed to capture. Jimmy Page himself would be impressed. Like the cocked wah that starts at the main solo, the doubling on the turnaround on the main solo, all the subtle licks during the first verse, etc. It's really thoughtful and so shows your love for this song.
Congrats on all your accomplishments here. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing a master perform his craft.

The drummer on that backing track is worth the price of admission all by himself--perfection. But this is the definitive cover of this all-time great song, just unbelievable, beautiful, glorious.
Everyone always thinks these covers are amazing, which i agree, but just think of how INSANE Jimmy Page is to have even written this masterpiece! Page deserves ALL the credit.

I was a teen when this song was written...took my oldest son to his first concert which was a Zeppelin. Now that Im much older I get to chance to see you do such an amazing cover of the best song ever written. I have no secrets when learning a song, I just practice it as much as I need, doesnt matter if it lasts 2 minutes or 20. If you really want to memorize it you definitely can achieve it.
Im sorry the audio is gone, but as Ive said before, it doesnt surprise me anymore.
This video has been muted a couple of times already, and the audio comes back after a while.

Here, I used a Zoom G2.1u
had 2 patches ready, one next to the other.
One was a bluesy tone that I used on most of the song, the other one had more bite and gain which I used for the solo.
You should redo it now. The digital amp sounds and effects have improved greatly in the last 6 years. Great Job btw

Honestly, the only way to hear this now a days with modern patch is to hear it live / hope youtube doesn't flag your shit (trust me it will)

However if I were him and made the cover again, I'll maybe look for a relatively cheap alternative to the Zoom, since there are better products than an inexpensive Zoom pedalboard (I know that for sure since I own one).

Learn the songs you love, not just on the surface. Try to figure out the guitarist's style and nuances, and the music theory inside every song.

My long-term goal is to be able to play this song, and to play it to this caliber. I don't know why, but this one song in particular stuck out to me as "This is the thing I want to be able to play".

For all of Jimmy page's Work, his Solos are the most underrated thing about him. Apart from Stairway and Whole lotta love. I don't see much love for the others that aren't Crazy zep fans. It's good to see SIBLY and Achilles getting the well deserved praise and playing needed for them to be recognised as two of the best Solos out there.
I was not able to view this video for the longest time, which was aggravating since this is one of my very favorite Zep tunes. I've seen a lot of covers of it and nobody has ever truly done it justice. They always miss the tiny variations and nuances but you seem to hit every single one. This cover is phenomenal, as close to perfect as possible. Bravo!

And it is by far, the closest I have ever seen (and I have been scouring youtube since 2007 looking) That original solo brought tears to my eyes every time I heard it. Zeppelin's compositions themselves are beyond description, most every one, and I appreciate them all. But this song, the sting of it's truth, gentle, honest, powerful heart wrenching emotion, has been bittersweet. Your delivery of it was superb!

Absolute best cover I've seen of this masterpiece. Makes me appreciate Jimmy's genius even more. Zeppelin's my favorite band, but it's ridiculous RUclips gives them copyright protection when they borrowed so much and never gave credit. But taking a decent song you would've never heard and making it a masterpiece was one of their gifts. Go check Never by Moby Grape and see if it sounds familiar!
