I have 30 piercings including a single forward helix on my right ear and a triple forward helix on my left ear. I could have had a triple instead if a single on my right ear, but my ear piercings are not symmetrical by choice. I have had zero problems with any of them and none of them hurt (thank goodness for a high pain tolerance). Using Qtips to clean piercings is controversial, but I use them too. I love the spray. All my piercings are fully healed and I still use a travel pillow. I definitely agree with the advice to research your piercer. I adore mine.
Hi Julia, I just had my second double-forward helix done about 3 weeks ago. I bought the same aftercare solution spray. But I was told (and the pamphlet they gave me also says) that you should not spray it directly on your piercings. You need to spray the Q-tip swab and then apply that to the front and back of each piercing. So, a total of 4 Q-tips are to be used (2 for the front and 2 for the back). This prevents contamination between the piercings.
Oh that's. good to know! My piercing place specifically told me to spray right onto my ear and the bottle gave the same instructions! I guess just take whatever advice your piercing place gives you and/or whatever works best for you!🤗💛
q tips hurts 😭 i don't really used it directly on my piercing, just to dry the area and i'm scared abt the cotton fibers and stuff . and i just spray the aftercare solution directly on my piercings. how's your healing now?
@@vel6475 I'm not scared the cotton on the q-tips will get caught on my piercings. When I spray each one (1 for front & 1 for back) the q-tips are saturated. Also, my piercer told me spraying the solution directly on your piercings can cause contamination from the sprayback from ear back to the solution can. My piercings from almost a year ago are just about healed. I just scheduled another appointment for a helix piercing next month. It's become a birthday tradition for the last several years.
