It's always so much fun to see different people analyzing the lyrics. They are ambiguous and poetic on purpose, but maybe they are more literal than you may expect. Jari actually hates winter and loves summer. The seasons in Finland can be rather extreme and the winters can be really really dark and cold while the short summers can be really sunny and hot. Likely he ties multiple meanings in his lyrics, but knowing him somewhat, he takes a lot of inspiration from his relationship with the different seasons, mainly from winter since it can be so painful.

BTW, all the other instruments you hear in the video but you don't see - they are made by Jari ... If you still stay in the songs on this album for a while, I recommend watching the third one done in this same rehearsal session. Which has already been suggested here: "Land Of Snow And Sorrow". It's a shorter song and very different from the two already heard. But I think you like it too. If you go backwards, then the first album has a song called "Winter Madness." If you want more of the epicness, darkness and harsh vocals, Eternal Darkness (Autumn) is your choice, if you want more emotional stuff with clean vocals, Loneliness (Winter) is your next stop with Wintersun :)
sounds awesome the progressive nature of the song the beautiful elegant almost sounds as though it has ambient sounds like if omega infinity band with their very cool progressive metal sound with the anticurrent album and the swedish meshuggah had a baby i mean they all sound very awesome so groovy the singer jari and the guy providing the lower end vocals sound good contrasts
Petunije, first of all, your pronunciation of Finnish names is pretty much perfect, especially compared to native English speakers who just can't seem to get the hang of them. "How do they do it?" is what you asked during the intro. I'm pretty sure that's a reverse delay effect on the guitar. Beautiful but you have to get the tempo right, otherwise it will sound like a building collapsing very messily.
i can see this song in castlevania movie if they ever make that, trevol belmont trip and then fight and slaughter monsters :) my personal best song this band is loneliness what jari make when his father die. official lyric video can hear sadness in his voice,there is not any good live video. thanx to great react and i think too this was slightly better than sons of winter and stars.
