These creepy files are so dang awesome! www.myminifactory.com/frontier/hold-my-booknook-1664
I only have a Mars... How easily do you think they can be sliced or parted for Mars' volume?
Now cast them in metal ^^
To add weight you can put sand in the drain hole. If you want to make sure there is no leakage sand mixed with resin (2-part epoxy style) will work well. The sand sinks to the bottom and the resin locks it into place. No pressure pot is needed since there will be nothing visible and the sand naturally sinks. Also works well for FDM statues if using light infill% or lightning infill.
Ohh that’s a fantastic idea!
I was going to suggest BBs but sand is WAY cheaper and probably works way better. Excellent suggestion!
Filling the back up with plaster of paris works great too for weighing them down, and much cheaper than epoxy resin. 😊
This is also one of my favorite mini designers. I joined their tribe right when they started.
Cool idea, will also work with games & movies cases.
Yeah! Will be using for a bunch of my games
Miniatures of madness, I really like their style. Great video!
It would be cool to see these painted .
I would seriously scream if I saw that face jumping out at me! Awesome print idea! 🤣
Right?!
7:49- Um, I’m pretty sure another issue people might run into is maybe getting the books out of the shelves with those fingers blocking them!?! Lol
I backed this project as soon as it came out. I have their miniatures from one of their previous campaigns and absolutely love them. They all have a ton of character.
I wonder if the artist has book ends as well!
Ohhh now that would be cool
These look so cool!
Love these, they remind me of the books from the pagemaster
I love the Cones of Calibration and the Starship for testing.
That super glue on partially cured resin tip is great! I'd never come across that. Thanks!
I use the cones to calibrate also. They’re working on a version 2 that uses less resin
That use less resin? Wow! It’s already super small
@@UncleJessy yeah, that made a video on it. They stated that on the “fail” side without the supports it creates a smooshed look to the text that he doesn’t like. Also easier on the FEP when lifting with better results. So far I haven’t found a “one stop shop” for calibration tests.
The FDM prints look great, especially the Cthulhu one.
Adding LED lights gives them an extra awsomeness :)
Lovely has always
Man, these are awesome. This makes me want to afford this hobby.
Love the dog man book on the end 👍😊
Looks interesting...
Love your videos
Thanks!!
You should really give an attribution to Ty at TableFlip Foundry for the cones of calibration!
about the front heavy weight. you can put some car tyre rim counter weights in there. that should do it
Gonna print this for my game collection
@UncleJessy dude, cubes of calibration get you dimensional accuracy where as the cones only give you max strength for pressuported files which is overexposed to begin with.
Thanks to you, i spent $35 on a roll of that cookiecad witchcraft and bought that $12 cultist file. In 2 days, I'll hopefully have something that kinda looks like yours lol.
They’re not called book holders… but actually called bookend. But yes, what you printed are actually booknook since it’s sandwiched between books.
G'day Jessy ol son......i got on to the Omni Modular Display case on Kickstarter, thx to you. it is a great system and after 7days of printing i got to build the smallest Cube Case. i wish i had a second FDM just to reduce printing times. Big Cheers to ya m8 From Sunny Downunder.
How is the rapid resin for miniatures as far as strength against breakage and for this smaller details?
For the neptune 3 plus, how do you make the connection for supports on bottom not look awful? I keep on getting a wierd layered tecture anywhere supports meet the actual piece
This is great! And does anyone know where I could find a shelf bracket in a similar style?
hmmm hmm... ok, I know that sometimes comments could disappear by itself.
but if it was removed - just check v2 calibrations cones, I think it will work even better than v1...
What 3D printer would be best for making a ipad case!
Any idea how much resin did a 100% scale booknook use approximately?
would filling these with sand help with the tipping over?
The resin ones look amazing. Not quite sure about the FDM though.
Awesome love this
This rapid resin has viscosity of my abs resin in 34 degrees Celsius environment :) I wonder if, with proper temperature inside the printer normal resin can be printed with high speed.
How much infill % did you use for the FDM prints?
Hey Jessy How are you filming those print time-lapses & managing the fumes safely?
Will you be adding your settings for the Elegoo Saturn 3 Ultra to your Patreon folder?
Any news on when Saturn 3 ultras are going to ship? I ordered mine in June and the wait is getting a little long.
Fingers crossed any day now
how is the life size super hero doing? waiting for pt3
What's going on with the life-size magneto project?
Thank you J
Do you use rapidResin for all of your output products?
Do you think the Saturn 2 8k could print these booknooks?
I've given up doing 3D Resin Printing, It just far too pricey now with the cost of living madness!
It was pricey before the rises now it is beyond silly high amounts even for normal resin, I am sure the new rapid resin will be a super high price since it is another special resin?
I have the Elegoo Saturn 2 resin 8K printer and XS bundle wash & cure system and will sell them soon. That was a waste of £500.
I brought the new Elegoo Neptune 3 Max FDM printer and now will stick to FDM only. cost allot less to buy filaments even with the cost of living rises.
And I can just bin the waste filament and supports, the resin waste and wash water waste I can't get rid off. since it is toxic and hard to get rid off I really will not use it again!
The Neptune 3 Max is a good FDM printer with a great build area. Just need to work out how to have a all metal hot end and Klipper to make the Neptune 3 Max work faster and better?
Even though it is meant to be fast it can't really printer faster now than 120%.
What did you call me?
....
Hahaha
witch printer did you use foor this video?
I think these are awesome but I cringe on thinking about the painting time.
