Healthcare Consulting: Writing Clinical Guidelines

Healthcare consulting is a wonderful option for physicians who want to expand their reach and do something different outside of clinical medicine.
One option that I have found to be both interesting and rewarding and has certainly taught me a lot is writing clinical guidelines.
It doesn't matter whether you write them for a telemedicine company or a medical device company. And it doesn't matter whether you are writing it for a subspecialty or for general medical needs.
Medical writers are often sought after but the work can be a little bit tedious especially when you have to create copy for websites or for marketing and advertisement purposes. However clinical guidelines are cleaner and easier to research and for the most part in my opinion easier to write.
