Tools required:
• Sealant gun
• Trowel
• Spirit level
• Cloth
• Broom
Materials required:
• Water Block Mastic
• Sand
• Cement
• PVA adhesive
• Glass cleaner
Things to be aware of:
• The prepared roof surface must be clean, dry, and free from dust and contaminants (bitumen, oil, etc).
• When creating a sand and cement mortar mix (of at least three to one ratio for this installation), remember to add PVA adhesive for extra strength.
• Remember, EPDM membranes expand in hot weather and can crack weak mortar.
• Always create a primary and secondary seal. The membrane must go far enough over the parapet to create a seal without a coping stone.
