Artsy unfortunately is not a good art platform. They should focus on the essentials they drives VALUE. They are barely afloat as a business, while chargine huge amount of money to their galleries. As a professional, I would rate artsy a 3/10. But hey, glad you like them!
I watched this while doing final assembly of one of my sculptures. It’ll be decades before I’m lucky enough for this ever to be pertinent to me, but your knowledge of how the top of the art food chain works is inspiring. Thank you.
Thanks - your NFT video was really informative. I was shocked to see Sotheby's selling a digital piece for almost three million. This stuff feels like entering another dimension.
Thanks for posting. Cool feature I have an account with artsy too. The artist print market I think Gordons print sales is the way to value a print. They have been around for a million years.
Thanks for this highly informative video! I did not already subscribe to Artsy, so I just downloaded the app right now. Not that I am an art buyer, but I will follow Miriam Cahn, Kiki Smith, Annette Messager among others.
Totally agree with you, I also prefer working on my laptop. I'm a subscriber of Artsy's newsletter and I regularly check their website, but now I have to download an app only for this feature. Anyway, thank you for this video. To be honest, I am used to collect and analyze the data of the artists I'm interested in manually, so it's going to save me a lot of time :)
Rather than have a data base of prices I would like to see data base of critical evaluations of an artist's body of work. Much like the housing market, or porn or music or sports industries, one could access both professional and non-professional reviews and critiques of a given artist at the click of a button. Kind of like a scouting report combined with a consumer affairs of the art market, aesthetically speaking. If one goes by the gallery babble of a press release then every artist possesses an uncommon genius never before seen. Is it the case, as noted in The 12 Million Stuffed Shark, that "a handful of curators, gallerists, and billionaires" determine what's *good* art ?
I'm glad my works are not in auctions. Not one of my collectors have sold my works at auction. I take that as a sign they're not willing to let the works go. Regarding Artsy, I don't think it's really accurate as it doesn't necessarily know all artists sales.
You kind of wet your lips and mouth during speaking. To avoid this, do not drink hot coffee/tea or cold drink just before speaking, but rather have a gulp or two of luke warm (room temperature) water. It will help in smooth flow of speech. This is a trick many advocates use before long court arguments, like I did during my 30 plus years law practice.
We're so thrilled you're loving the new feature as much as we do. A desktop version is coming soon-stay tuned!
Yayyyyy! Good to know

Is it easier to get sales on Artsy rather than Etsy?
how to reg in Artsy?
You should be an agent. I'd hire you. Have you thought about getting into an art career after retiring from IT?
Do you paint ?
How do sell art artsy plese upload video.
