      @@millionairemeditations Youve got an ecodiesel JT too? Nice choice! honestly man there isnt too much to it, i always have traction control off when i want to have fun and the best place to test its limits and get comfortable is on the beach cause theres no consequences (unless you flip it lol). Im to the point where i can break the tires loose on wet pavement and have some fun on country roads lol but i dont have the money for new tires so i gotta be good on dry pavement. As for off road, the thing just crawls super easy. I still need to hit some harder trails but its pretty much point the tires where you want and let it do its thing.

    Trying to decide if I want a lift and bigger tires, but not doing much off-roading east of the Mississippi in Illinois. May try to find some good places to wheel this spring.

      @LifeOutdoors  5 месяцев назад

      Appreciate that! Spent a good bit of time on the front end so glad to hear thats a standout to you. The eco-diesels are great, fun to drive and feel more powerful than the gasser version. I never did a lift on my Jeep, I just did a front end leveling kit to even things out and clear a little room for the 35's. I would say at least going to 33's will make it plenty offroadable for the majority of trips.

    Don’t tap the cig lighter for a big compressor like that. If you got the aux switch package there’s 2 buttons that are 30 amp and you can tie in to them either in the passenger footwell or under the hood on the passenger right beside the battery

    • @LifeOutdoors
      @LifeOutdoors  Год назад

      Hmm interesting, the cigarette lighter was the suggested method by ARB. It’s working fine now I’m not sure why it blew the fuse one time? But I agree it seems like there isn’t enough circuit protection for that much additional amperage. I don’t have the extra aux switches though in my Jeep

    Jeep just dropped the price on this by $10k. I'm looking at a Willy's trim 4x4 for like $42k at my local Stealership. I used to own a BMW X5 diesel back in the day that served me 7 years of no frills and 100% reliability. Too bad BMW dropped diesel after 2017 (cough cough American FCC protocols). I was considering new gen Tacoma, Ranger and Canyon but with the price drop and the ONLY mid size truck still offering diesel, I'm heavily swinging towards the Glady.

    Hi, great video thanks! How do you find the power delivery on this 3.0 diesel? I mean the engine design is quite old on other cars (like for example the grand cheerokee in Europe) and even if HP and Torque values are great, they are delivered only in a few hundreds of RPM out of the entire scale and this is somehow ruining the driving experience. Thanks

      @@billredding2000 I'm with you on the no issues train! Hoping the best for your jeep journey. I had a gas wrangler before this Jeep and it just never felt powerful enough for the vehicle, I think the diesel has a whole different feel and you cant beat the fun diesel sounds. But I'm glad youre enjoying your gas truck! Thanks for watching 🙌🏼

    • @billredding2000
      @billredding2000 Год назад +1

      @@LifeOutdoors Thanks...
      As for my gas engine (V6 Pentastar), I've NEVER felt like I needed more power -- the V6 is fine and plenty of power (and naturally-aspirated -- no turbo), and really leaves other vehicles behind me at a stoplight when it turns green even when I'm not even trying to do that: I don't think people behind me expect the truck to accelerate like it does. And on the trail, you don't NEED lots of HP or torque. Remember, the Jeeps of WWII had very little HP and torque yet still coudl do amazing things. Jeeps today have WAY more than those first ones.
      So IMO, the Ford Bronco Raptor and Jeep Wrangler 392 are just gas-guzzling Vanity Vehicles, nothing more. Like the Ford Raptor is in the truck world. All that extra power/torque does nothing for me on the hwy or off-road/trail -- OR when paying at the gas pump.
      TOWING a trailer, however, it sure takes a hit MPG-wise...but most gas vehicles do when towing something so I just live with it.
      Hope your diesel continues to behave...and mine as well: Due to the still "uncertain" (insane prices) auto-market we have nowadays, I'll probably be keeping my Gladiator longer than I first thought. I KNOW I'd not get it today (a 2023 model) for what I paid 2 years ago for mine!

    • @LifeOutdoors
      @LifeOutdoors  Год назад

      @@billredding2000 The Pentastar definitely gets the job done and is a solid motor for most people! I blew one up in my Wrangler at 170K though so I had a bitter taste with it and wanted a change. I totally agree that the raptor and 392 are gas guzzlers but also thats the beauty of them is how obnoxious they are 😂I will say the diesel towing a Uhaul across the country did a fantastic job and had great fuel mileage. Hopefully these insane prices come down for everyone here soon. Enjoy your truck, respect to my fellow gladiator drivers!

      @LifeOutdoors On my 2015 Ram, it was 100% worth it. I only had the stage one. Delete which is just EGR. Shut off and def delete plus a 40 horse Tune and transmission tuning.
      It made the truck more fuel efficient more powerful and shifted much nicer.
      The nice thing about that was if you needed to go in for warranty work, you just returned it to stock, and no one knew any different.
      Unfortunately, the generation 3 motors you need to so far. Remove the ECM and have it sent away to get tuned.

      I have seen some discussions about it but not video documentation. I will after I hit 100K but thats not for a few years.

      @@LifeOutdoors I read on Wayalife forum of diesel orders getting canceled and they are already building the 2024's on the line. No diesel, gotta go 4XE.

      I just read a bit about it too. Getting rid of the Ram EcoDiesel too. What a shame it was the perfect engine for this size vehicle. Not enough demand I guess. Well I’m glad I have mine.

      Dang that’ll do it too. I do see very few diesel Jeeps on the road.
