A very morticia kind of crown... she actually puts it on and sings the whole song with it on! The debauched way that she sings the lyrics is also very self explanatory. Specially the rrrrrrats part. I love how smart and humorous she is. They tried to ruin her public persona because she wanted to leave and she survived like a Phoenix and laughing. Got to love this woman! Now Floor was friends with Tarja before she ever joined nightwish and still are. Replacing the person who replaced you is not going to be a source of conflict between them. Awww lol I've never seen this vid of Diva before. Love it. T is also my favourite singer pretty much ever. That was actual footage of her crying btw in a press conference following the open letter. Ultimately there will be some things on both sides of the story that aren't good. When relationships breakdown they breakdown and that's that. There were some pretty shitty things the band did to her though. Like saying she always travelled alone and not with them. Personally I don't blame her on that. They used to party hard get drunk and producers and others would just be having orgy type things all around and Nightwish have said that themselves in their book. Also, when she was attacked by that guy on stage and he pulled her to the ground by her hair and ripped her top open - they just left him too it until security eventually twigged and carried on playing while she was escorted of crying. Bless her though after a few songs off she went on to finish the concert whilst crying all the way through. Guys just left her at the end too as they didn't know what to do. I still love Nightwish, but that's a black stain for me. I think they've matured a lot too since. They were a lot younger then. Songs I also LOVE by her include, Die Alive, I walk Alone, Innocence - music vid for that one is good as is Victim of ritual. Empty Dream also a good music video - was a song done for a film. Paradise with Within Temptation - no brilliant Live versions of that but vid is epic. You and I, Undertaker, Anteroom of death - rarely reviewed but fab song. Ahhh, there's sooo many. BTW - Floor and Tarja are good friends and she since seems to have buried the hatchet a bit with Marko. Search for them singing together at some Finish Christmas thing. But the way she was betrayed by her "friends" since the creation of NW... This letter was pressed right after "end of an era", and is pretty much what some would argue is a defamation of character. "Diva.. Behaviors... Blah blah blah". The simple fact is that Tarja planned to leave NW eventually, but giving her band a 2 years notice and a promise for an new album and an entire tour. Throughout those years she gave 100% to the band, and the live videos from 2003 to 2005 will prove it. From interviews with her, you understand that she was bullied a lot in childhood, which made her very shy and concealed. But she was blooming when she started performing. For some this shyness may seem like "she's cold", but that's utter bs. If any, every interaction she has teaches the opposite. The band itself owes much of it's existence to her, being that her voice and persona aspired it f rom the very beginning. And back in the early years, yes, Tarja was THE mascot of NW. I can rant a lot more about this, because even if one has grievances with a band member for any reason, there are ways to end a collaboration. Having Tarja give her soul in "End of an Era" (While a bit sick, btw), seeing her so happy throughout the entire thing... And knowing all along that you're going to stab her in the heart not long after? And if you go back to a show from Mexico 2000: Tarja was attacked on stage by a fan who tore her cloths off. Another song she made, lets say ''for the same person'' was "enough", with the lyric video maybe you will get more details, like, she mentions ''just because I am in love" refering to Tuomas kicking her out because she got married. She mention "You drew a play written with my blood", not only cause she was the front of the band, but maybe cause of some moments when Tuomas was forcing her to sing, to reach some difficult notes that she said she even cry, she also mention about 'drinking', that easly you can see trough some videos was a problem (guys drinking too much, in this video you just watched there is a part where tuomas is beeing carried to his bed). Problem to react is, there is a lyric video, good to understand what the song is about and there is a live version where you can see her anger (I see Tarja live performances for years and never saw her that way) but the video has a terrible audio quality. All of the videos are real. The press conference, if you haven't seen yet you should, it is sad, but it shows what Tuomas did to her... That part about "vodka" is a "joke" about they always beeing drinking and things like that... Just after that it shows Tuomas beeing carried to his room. They said that Tarja was never with the band (she traveled alone or with her husband) but sure she had her reasons.. One of the documentarys of NW (End of Innocence) you can see how imature they where, a reasonable person can asume that is not easy to live with imature drunking guys talking about sex, geting naked and ridiculous (it is all on that documentary, I am not making things out of nowhere...)
She's reunited with Marko for a Christmas show. They did a duet of Ave Maria. In an interview after she said she would not be reunited with the rest of the band. She and Floor remain Friends though

The BYE, BYE, BYE was the bands 1st single with Anette Olzon. Their diss at Tarja. Her first rock single was I walk alone released in 2007. Taja and Floor are friends from before Floor joined NW. She told them she will NEVER sing that song. BTW not going to take sides but 5 years after parting ways, they fired Annette when she was in hospital giving birth to her child, over Christmas! So take that behaviour into account. Tarja far too classy to respond in kind. I do know that Marko buried the hatchet and made up with Tarja, to the point of doing a duet together. Of course Floor and Tarja have sung together. Were and are friends.
I'd like to think annette was let go for MANY more reasons than that. She was terrible. Tarja has proven she will be just fine on her own. The band still never recaptured the magic they lost

The problem with her firing is the boys tried to lie and said she quit the band. She called them out after having her baby, and they had to admit the truth. No fan of these kind of hate videos since the maker sureley also doesn't know the whole truth. After all i heared so far in the end it was also even Marko who said at some point "either she goes or i do", so maybe people can now also make Marko hate videos. I still love Tarja, was a big fan of the band from maybe 1998 or whenever i discovered them until 2005 and i was also shocked when i first heared about it, but in the end nobody outside will ever know the whole truth behind, so take it for what it is and stop blaming people.
The blaming part in most cases comes, not from that fact that the split happened, but HOW it happened. And that lies solely in the guys, led by Tuomas. Tarja wanted to leave, it could have been a clean break, handled privately between the members of Nightwish, and just release a statement for the fans: "we're going different ways, exploring new possibilities, bla bla bla...". Instead is was turned into a personal assault, trying to assassinate Tarja's and her husband's character. You're right no one knows the whole truth behind what happened, there were a lot of accusations tossed and counter arguments made, personally I believe the truth is somewhere in the middle between the two sides. Whatever it was, it could have been handled in a way more befitting adult men, professionals in their field, without them having to resort turning into 13 year old mean girls.

Another song she made, lets say ''for the same person'' was "enough", with the lyric video maybe you will get more details, like, she mentions ''just because I am in love" refering to Tuomas kicking her out because she got married. She mention "You drew a play written with my blood", not only cause she was the front of the band, but maybe cause of some moments when Tuomas was forcing her to sing, to reach some difficult notes that she said she even cry, she also mention about 'drinking', that easly you can see trough some videos was a problem (guys drinking too much, in this video you just watched there is a part where tuomas is beeing carried to his bed). Problem to react is, there is a lyric video, good to understand what the song is about and there is a live version where you can see her anger (I see Tarja live performances for years and never saw her that way) but the video has a terrible audio quality. But, maybe not to react, if you want to see just for curiosity (either way, better to watch lyrics first):

All of the videos are real. The press conference, if you haven't seen yet you should, it is sad, but it shows what Tuomas did to her... That part about "vodka" is a "joke" about they always beeing drinking and things like that... Just after that it shows Tuomas beeing carried to his room. They said that Tarja was never with the band (she traveled alone or with her husband) but sure she had her reasons.. One of the documentarys of NW (End of Innocence) you can see how imature they where, a reasonable person can asume that is not easy to live with imature drunking guys talking about sex, geting naked and ridiculous (it is all on that documentary, I am not making things out of nowhere...)
She's reunited with Marko for a Christmas show. They did a duet of Ave Maria. In an interview after she said she would not be reunited with the rest of the band. She and Floor remain Friends though

The BYE, BYE, BYE was the bands 1st single with Anette Olzon. Their diss at Tarja. Her first rock single was I walk alone released in 2007.
Taja and Floor are friends from before Floor joined NW. She told them she will NEVER sing that song. BTW not going to take sides but 5 years after parting ways, they fired Annette when she was in hospital giving birth to her child, over Christmas! So take that behaviour into account. Tarja far too classy to respond in kind. I do know that Marko buried the hatchet and made up with Tarja, to the point of doing a duet together. Of course Floor and Tarja have sung together. Were and are friends.
I'd like to think annette was let go for MANY more reasons than that. She was terrible.
Tarja has proven she will be just fine on her own. The band still never recaptured the magic they lost
@@TheRealMediaMan I wouldn't call Annette terrible. She was not a good fit for nw, but her solo stuff from what I've listened to is very good. The problem with her firing is the boys tried to lie and said she quit the band. She called them out after having her baby, and they had to admit the truth. Pretty much shows they have a pattern how they treated the females in their group.

No fan of these kind of hate videos since the maker sureley also doesn't know the whole truth. After all i heared so far in the end it was also even Marko who said at some point "either she goes or i do", so maybe people can now also make Marko hate videos.
I still love Tarja, was a big fan of the band from maybe 1998 or whenever i discovered them until 2005 and i was also shocked when i first heared about it, but in the end nobody outside will ever know the whole truth behind, so take it for what it is and stop blaming people.
The blaming part in most cases comes, not from that fact that the split happened, but HOW it happened. And that lies solely in the guys, led by Tuomas. Tarja wanted to leave, it could have been a clean break, handled privately between the members of Nightwish, and just release a statement for the fans: "we're going different ways, exploring new possibilities, bla bla bla...". Instead is was turned into a personal assault, trying to assassinate Tarja's and her husband's character. You're right no one knows the whole truth behind what happened, there were a lot of accusations tossed and counter arguments made, personally I believe the truth is somewhere in the middle between the two sides. Whatever it was, it could have been handled in a way more befitting adult men, professionals in their field, without them having to resort turning into 13 year old mean girls.
TARJA and Marko are friendly with one another, try again.
