Patera it’s not like me to quote scripture to people or on this channel; but, your talk today had me thinking of this verse from Proverbs 27:12 “The prudent sees danger and hides himself, the simple go on and suffer for it.”
My grandpa was born in 1900. I am 65 and when I was around 10 years old I can remember hearing him have a conversation with my uncle and Grandpa saying, there will come a time when you have to guard your garden. For some reason that stuck with me for life. I think the good Lord meant for that to stick with me for life. My grandma was Cherokee Indian raised in the Hills of Oklahoma. Her calm spirit is what I always remember about her. No matter what happened she ALWAYS remained calm and used wisdom. Anyone that is in tune with God and nature should feel what is coming. I don’t have to turn on the news (which I don’t) nor do other research to know in my core being bad times are coming. Look at the sky and ask yourself does this sky look like it did when I was younger. Is it that bright vivid blue with beautiful white clouds. Has there always been a haze around the sun and moon? Watch the animals and their behavior…times are changing and growing seasons are changing. Make haste while you can, most importantly start with your spirit and God…he will direct your paths. Love and blessings!

What a blessing you are Patara and how blessed! I am opposite from you in that I never knew my mother and I was passed from home to home by my father until I was 10. At 11, without warning my dad took me to an orphanage and pushed me up to the receptionist window and said "take her I don't want her anymore!" They didn't take me. I stayed in touch with here for years and almost moved her from Michigan to my home. Actually it would have been her and my brother who contracted a sexually transmitted disease in Vietnam and didn't get treatment early enough and it ate his brain away. YOUR BEST VIDEO YET!! I was given the gift of discernment years ago and it has NEVER let me down. I needed to hear that there are others that have the same views, struggles & gifts. Thank you!
Truth! I love the wisdom your elder shared. I wish people would stop listening to MSM and start tuning into elder wisdom. We need that now, more than ever. I've had some people almost make fun of me for being an Appalachia girl living in the mountains. They find it ridiculous that it takes me 45 minutes to a grocery store and can't figure out how I "survive". If you have the wisdom of the elders, that's not surviving, that's thriving!
I just moved to the mountains in Polk county TO survive. I love it here and it takes me 35 mins to get to something more than sav a lot or DG. I believe this will be one of the safest places for the difficult years ahead. ❤️
Patara, your message became a springboard for my morning devotions. Thank you. The ladies in my Bible Study are feeling the heaviness and your video today helped me to understand why. I'll be sharing your wisdom and the wisdom of the elders with them and encourage them to stay busy and not give in to the evil forces gather around us all. You're a welcome breath of fresh air. I understand the burden of caring for others and wanting to shepherd those who understand and those who don't. So, today, I'm praying for you and your family that you can stand firm! Love ya girl.
I just got a p.m. with a picture from my daughter. The caption said "I've got a start" and a picture of her pantry. I sent her the video you made about storing 5 items a week. It worked! I want to thank you Patera so much!
Thank you for this video Patera. I needed to hear this today as I'm feeling very discouraged and alone. My family doesn't "support" my efforts to prepare and mock me and say I'm buying into "conspiracy theories". But I know what scripture says and I know what I'm seeing & feeling. Your words were confirmation to me.

Keep going. You won't be in a food line. Those lines will be miles long. And people use a lot of gas and time waiting in those lines. And tempers flare and impatientence is rampant. I have seen it after storms. Or just waiting in lines to get gas. The amount of gas used waiting in line. Should be saved in case you have to make some kind of quick exit.
The story of the elder drinking from the stream as he went down the mountain is so wise and inspiring. It's something I'll remember as I coninue to do my due diligence. Thank you Patara! My husband and I are with you 100% in seeing what is happening before our eyes. We have to keep our eyes and ears open to see the signs that are in front of us.
I seldom comment on anyone's videos but, I just want to say thank you for all you do. I, too, was raised for a long time by my maternal Grandmother. Wonderful, wise woman who taught me a lot but, most important was, in a sense, don't drink where the cows drink. Drink higher. She was a wonderful woman of faith who had a hard life but she loved The Lord. Thank you, Patara for all you do.
I taught my 37 year old daughter how to make one of your biscuit recipes this morning. She was like "WOW, that's easy!". I told her when times get rough and tough we can always make biscuits.
I want you to know how much I appreciate you and your videos. I don't comment on videos much but wanted you to know there was another like minded Southern woman here. I have been dreaming more of my Grandma lately. I'm sitting at her kitchen table talking to her and she's reminding me of all the things she tried to teach me and tell me growing up. It's a happy dream but I am also taking it as a warning. I am awake and working. No one in my surroundings thinks like me. You my dear are my backup friend and I thank you.
United we stand, divided we fall..my husband who left me four years ago and waiting for me in heaven believed in being prepared and prepped for years .I still have food he stored years ago .and I have been prepping for my family. For several years now..
You brought tears to my eyes with the cup and story. It took me home, when flour was bought in cloth sacks with a dish rag or hand towel was sown in the seam closing the sack or on the very rare occasion jelly was bought the jar was saved as a drinking glass.
Fairbanks, Alaska we are -10 and the beautiful sun is shining lot of snow still in the ground. We got 96.6" of snow in town more where I live on top of mountain. Love watching you you are doing a great job keeping up the hard work. Can't wait till spring and garden time.
@@maren807 Exactly. It's very sad to see people choosing denial. You know it's going to cost them dearly, but there's nothing you can do. The power of the lie (that Govt will save them) is too strong.
Thank you for this video. I so hit my heart. I didn't have any of my grandparents to learn from we didn't have alot but mama did the best she could with little to nothing. This filled my heart and I thank you. God bless
Thank you Patera my husband and I taught survival classes at our church before we moved from Florida to Nevada. We’re as prepared as can be sharing with anyone who will listen to wisdom!
So glad I found your channel. I am 41 years late learning how to garden and make bread but I'm trying. And you are a breath of fresh air and I am thankful.
Your message is delivered with such such a beautiful blend of fierce and tender. I had my meltdown a few weeks back... then I picked myself up and decided to get to work. I live in a suburb, but I am doing all I can do with what I have, skills our ancestors certainly had... making do with what is available and being creative is going to be needed in the days ahead.
Thank you Patera, I have learned many things from you. Doing my best to prepare! And I want you to know I love you, and I am so thankful to God for you!!
A wise man once told me, "you are the only one that knows what's best for you to take care of yourself." I've always cherished those words and I honestly, until that day never thought of it that way. It's that little voice in us that pushes us to do the right thing. Thanks for your voice that pushes us to listen to it.
You are amazing and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your caring, your encouragement to get us where we need to be. I am from the UK and you reach us. You are a bright light. So from me to you and yours ..........thank you for being you 💕
I had 11 various grandparents when I was born. I had my great-great grandmother until I was about 5. I remember her vividly. I had my great-grandma until I was in my 30s. They taught me so much. I miss them terribly.
Patara, you have torn me up with this video. It couldn't have come at a better time. I've been discouraged today. You've helped tremendously. God bless you! ❤️
I am beyond grateful for your many mommas that your life was blessed with because they sent their wisdom through you to all of us.You are their gift to humanity’s future. Thank you for sharing them with us. Thank you for being here for us.
Oh Patara, I can’t find the words to express how you’ve touched my heart today. Thank you. We shall keep on keep’n on. We shall stay close to the Lord and listen for his still calm voice. It will direct our steps. 💞
Everything you said is so true Patara! So many people are being mislead and drinking where the cows drink. It is so very important to listen to the elders. Stay warm!
You aways know the right things to say. I stand by everything you say . My husband watched you this morning with me and he agreed to 👍We're going to take care of our family and we are doing everything we can. I love your videos and your a very smart lady, Please keep sharing so I can learn from the BEST ❤ GOD BLESS 🙏
I love that you felt the downed tree was a sign that you needed more wood. About 20 yrs ago I prayed for a source for firewood and the next day a dead tree fell into my yard from a neighbors yard. It fell perfectly as to not cause any damage. Coincidence? I think not !!!
Thank you Patera, I needed this today. I was at a memorial service for a relative yesterday and realized how out of step I have become in the world around me. I know why now. I need to keep going and drink from the clean mountain stream. I will probably not see many people there. It is hard to accept the state of the world. I have to stay true to my purpose and pray for everyone who does not see. Wise words.
Those Cups came out of Boxes of Oatmeal .I was raised on those cups, and the towels that came out of boxes of laundry detergent, pillow cases from feed sacks. Days when I didn't know of times like these. Thank you Patara.
So much wisdom from my Grandfather is coming back to me and I am forever thankful to have been raised to cook from scratch. We get things done slowly here because Hubby has a brain injury and I was born an addict and am mobility challenged. Much prayer and considering what needs to be done each day get us through. Thank you for your wisdom.
I love you so much! You’re an absolute blessing, have shared you with two friends and my sister and have gotten them on board. Girl you are doing kingdom work! Blessings!
You are so right Patara! Thank you for sharing your wisdom, you may not be my elder, but pass along the words & wisdom of the elders. It's so sad for those you don't listen, don't have elders, who just don't know. My elders are all gone now. I miss my Aunt & Uncle they taught me so much on the farm, I'm so grateful to them. I listen to you and it helps me remember, and helps me to move forward the best way I know how. And you know what? I can't get over how many of the young people out there don't know how to cook from scratch! Growing up I remember our afterschool treat for something sweet was cinnamon toast. We didn't have cookies, cakes, candy. Those were for special times or once in awhile. I could go on & on, but Thank you once again for the reminders of what live should be about.
Im 56, raised by grandparents. When i was about 12 i remember my grandparents setting at the table talking about the great depression. I also remember them saying in their conversation that these kids, (meaning my generation), would face the opposite of what they went thru. They said that our generation will see the food in the stores but would not be able to afford it. Said these kids have to know how to make and grow their own food. Ya'll this was in the early 70s! Tell me that the older generations don't know what they are talking about and i will slam dunk you! Everyone that cares about their families better step up or they will regret being in denial. I also heard them say much more but i think you get what im trying to say here. This lady is on cue! Pay attention and take her advise. She is not blowing smoke!!
My dad was born in 1919!! I spent a lot of time with my great grandmother..boy did she make great biscuits! She was born end of Civil War. My moms uncles fought in Spanish American War. I'm back working in my back bedroom making it into a pantry. Making progress. Thanks for all you do!! Love, hugs, and God always bless you, Patera!!❤🥰🙏🫖
Patara, someday we will be the Elders. When my 6 year old granddaugher was 2, I started teaching her how to garden and cook. If it's the last thing I ever do, I'm going to teach that child how to grow her own food and how to prepare it. Last week, she facetimed (with help from her Daddy) me and asked me to mail her some lettuce seeds to plant. My heart melted.

My grandparents died when I was a little girl. My parents believe everything that the news tells them. I am so glad to have found your channel. I started prepping when I heard that there was a ----demic coming our way. I praise my Father in Heaven for waking me up and leading me to channels of brothers and sisters like you! Thank you for sharing your experiences and wisdom.
So beautiful. The snow is so soft and quiet looking……..peace!
I love your talks, keep preachin g! I'm a 69 year old and grew up farming and now preparing for the worst, hoping and praying for the best! I have a very high medical degree and worked 33 years in emergency medicine. Been stocking up for years and trying to prepare for all this. We live in north Florida doing what we can, keep it up!
I am SO glad I found your channel!! We are kindred spirits....I love your raw sensibility and truth! Amen sister
“This knowledge isn’t given to everybody .” Powerful statement!! ❤️
Snow can be so beautiful.
Amen! Keep speaking the truth!
My dad has told me for years what to expect, told me he would not be here to see it but I would (he was right) told me prep and prepare for the worse and continue to be tough and take no crap from anyone.
Sending much love, respect, appreciation and gratitude.❤🙏
“Only sip where the bear walks” I love this❣️ God is our only hope. Thank you sweet Patara.
Blessed be
Similar here in rural NY. People think its annoying we live an hour from town. Oh well! Wish we were further.
Where you live sounds lovely to me!
I just moved to the mountains in Polk county TO survive. I love it here and it takes me 35 mins to get to something more than sav a lot or DG. I believe this will be one of the safest places for the difficult years ahead. ❤️
@@illex759 Exactly! I'm not as far out as I'd like to be.
Thank you. Stand strong. Keep telling it. Many are listening.
Well said. Never apologize for that precious connection, treasure it.
I just got a p.m. with a picture from my daughter. The caption said "I've got a start" and a picture of her pantry. I sent her the video you made about storing 5 items a week. It worked! I want to thank you Patera so much!
Amen and amen, sister. Love you, Ant E.
Side note, I typed my first reply when the video started. 😂 I didn't know Patera also spoke of Noah. Love her wisdom
Michelle it's ok . While your family is paying a high price at the grocery store. We are prepared right now. We have what we need. We are set. They aren't. Gas prices high. You are doing e
Listen to your heart!! KEEP on KEEPING on!! You have BLESSINGS of your elders!! KEEP on preparing!! You maybe the one that saves your family!! ❤🙌❤😉❤🙌❤
I do know how you feel! I just continue and keep on keeping on. Sending ❤️ and 🙏!
Amen Sister. Thank you for sharing
❤️🙏
The story of the elder drinking from the stream as he went down the mountain is so wise and inspiring. It's something I'll remember as I coninue to do my due diligence. Thank you Patara! My husband and I are with you 100% in seeing what is happening before our eyes. We have to keep our eyes and ears open to see the signs that are in front of us.
Patra you are a God sent to so many, may you never stop teaching us your words of wisdom
Thank you for all your help. I appreciate people like you getting the word out.
Straight talk for troubling times. Keep speaking up, Patara, we appreciate your wise words.
Amen!
Thank you Patera you are loved. I appreciate you.
I taught my 37 year old daughter how to make one of your biscuit recipes this morning. She was like "WOW, that's easy!". I told her when times get rough and tough we can always make biscuits.
There's no wrong time for a biscuit!!
Your grandma's are so proud young lady. Much love to. you and yours sweetheart.
96 inches of snow?!?!
I think the push back is resentment. They're in denial, so anyone talking about it is causing them to have to work harder to maintain that denial.
I agree, they are just waiting to "go back to normal" well....that's not coming back 🤦♀️😕
I’d say that is an accurate assessment.
Someone said they hoped it would be over in 6 months,, my reply was sorry honey but no it won't
@@maren807 Exactly. It's very sad to see people choosing denial. You know it's going to cost them dearly, but there's nothing you can do. The power of the lie (that Govt will save them) is too strong.
@@MK-kq8il I know people who think it will be over in a few weeks. It's horrifying, what hedonism has done to us.
❤️
Very profound. I needed this today. More than you will ever know. Thanks
Thanks!
Exactly right! Don’t ignore the situation, and don’t panic over the situation. Make a thoughtful decision.
You are amazing and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your caring, your encouragement to get us where we need to be. I am from the UK and you reach us. You are a bright light. So from me to you and yours ..........thank you for being you 💕
I absolutely love listening to you! Your words help me so much! Bless you and your family! ❤️
Could not sleep, glad your video was on,enjoy your information
Thank you….for everything.
I hope you get as much out of this as the rest who are listening to you.
I am beyond grateful for your many mommas that your life was blessed with because they sent their wisdom through you to all of us.You are their gift to humanity’s future. Thank you for sharing them with us. Thank you for being here for us.
Patera, thank you very much. I'm not always here, I don't always comment. I needed your words today. Thank you ma'am. GOD bless us all.
Oh Patara, I can’t find the words to express how you’ve touched my heart today. Thank you. We shall keep on keep’n on. We shall stay close to the Lord and listen for his still calm voice. It will direct our steps. 💞
Thank-you for your time.
Everything you said is so true Patara! So many people are being mislead and drinking where the cows drink. It is so very important to listen to the elders. Stay warm!
Thank you young lady.
Start where you are, use what you have, do what you can. That came to my mind while you were speaking. Have a great day.
You aways know the right things to say. I stand by everything you say . My husband watched you this morning with me and he agreed to 👍We're going to take care of our family and we are doing everything we can. I love your videos and your a very smart lady, Please keep sharing so I can learn from the BEST ❤
GOD BLESS 🙏
I love that you felt the downed tree was a sign that you needed more wood. About 20 yrs ago I prayed for a source for firewood and the next day a dead tree fell into my yard from a neighbors yard. It fell perfectly as to not cause any damage. Coincidence? I think not !!!
We should all listen to our Elders...... thank-you for sharing!!
Wise words.
So few see Mary. So so few
Thanks for being so truthful! I am picky about what channels I watch! Pray, prepare , and trust the Lord!
Thank you Patara. I'm sitting here drinking my morning coffee, so grateful to have had a few minutes with my precious Appalachian sister. 🌻
God bless you. Thank you for the encouragement.
Dear Patara, you are blessed with wisdom given to few. Remember not to let the world overshadow the brightness of the truth. Patty
Wonderful there are no words to say how much you blessed me thank you
Those Cups came out of Boxes of Oatmeal .I was raised on those cups, and the towels that came out of boxes of laundry detergent, pillow cases from feed sacks. Days when I didn't know of times like these. Thank you Patara.
Me too
We also drank from glasses that held apple jelly.
We appreciate you as well. Thank you!
You are a beautiful soul! Never change.❤️
I love you so much! You’re an absolute blessing, have shared you with two friends and my sister and have gotten them on board. Girl you are doing kingdom work! Blessings!
Amen 🙏 keep praying 🙏❤
Hank you young lady we appreciate you so much
Best message I've heard in a while!! Nothing but the truth 🙌
Thanks Patera for your reassurances.
One of my favorite parts is to see all the chickens come charging out of the coop.... so adorable.
You are such a blessing. Keep shining your light!
Thank you for everything!
Thanks Patara. You inspire me to prepare even when I am half the world away and have never seen snow except in films. Love seeing those animals.
Beautiful message….thank you 💗
My dad was born in 1919!!
Thank you Sistar, from one Appalachian raised lady to another. Keep spreading truth, Needed this TO-DAY "stay busy baby"-- chills.......
Thank you for your encouragement
