If you leave the Retin A on for 30 minutes & then moisturize, it will NOT dilute the Retin A’s efficacy. Retin A will be completely absorbed into the skin within 20-30 minutes. So, people with dry skin who need moisturizer should NOT be afraid to moisturize after 30 minutes of application. I’m a NP for a dermatology practice & also use Retin A 3-4x week.
Janine McKenna I would like to start using Retin a. But I d like to avoid the peeling off of the face. If I do this- leave Retin a for 30 minutes and then moisturize- will I avoid the peeling of the skin? Will the results be the same?
Janine McKenna - Thanks for this info. I use retinol products at night and wondered about diluting the effectiveness of the retinol by moisturizing on top of it.
I love how u use affordable skincare products!!! I have been looking for someone my age with my skin concerns that I can get advice from but so far the products have been extremely expensive so thank you for showing products I can afford!!!
Fabulous rutine! The only thing I would recommend is to add 1 or 2 more nights of retin A. For me at 59 my biggest regret is not using retin A in my 40's as much as possible to keep wrinkles at bay. If I could go back in time to my 40's I would have used the retina A at least 4 to 5 times a week. I can so see the difference in my friends who stuck with it in the 40's. I just got frustrated with the peeling, and gave up instead of playing around with different strengths on adding it with a moisturizer, or blender product! Retin A is the biggest power house available!!! God Bless XOXOX
I agree! Retin-A is the biggest power house for skincare...with the most research and data behind it! In the future I may consider going down in strength so that I can use it more regularly. When I first started using Retin-A, over 15 yrs ago, I was so confused as to how quickly my skin acclimated to the lower strengths. I actually found the skin shed, that happened in the first month or so, to be quite gratifying. Not necessarily the shedding process, but the way my skin looked following a shed. So I went up in strength because I wanted to see the skin come off. I realized rather quickly that I would probably never be able to use the .1% daily, or even every other day, because something ALWAYS seemed to interfere with my attempts to get through the "ugly" phase. That's when I decided that I would just use it weekly, as a light chemical peel. It's seemed to work out pretty well up until now, but mother nature is becoming quite a bully, so I may have to step it up! 💗😊
Im 46 and just starting to get into a more intensive skin care routine. I recently purchased Paula's Choice Resist daily smoothing treatment 5% AHA. Is that the same as retin A?
Hi Jennifer, Sorry hun although AHA is good it is not Retin A. Retin A or the generic Trentonian is the proven gold standard big gun in anti-aging. or at least a retinol or retinaldehyde of some form would be second best. I hope this helps Jennifer. :)
Girl. You should totally consider using a cleansing oil or cleansing balm instead of make up wipes.. basically no matter how gentle you are it's rough on your skin.. love that cerave cleanser though! I go back and forth between that one and the hydrating cleanser since I'm on tretinoin and dont use salicylic acid often. Your skin is gorgeous!
Hi Jen! Great idea using the paddle brush for gentle cleansing! I really can't tolerate my Clairsonic every day, even with the sensitive brush head, so this is a nice alternative. I too recommend that you use Retin-A more often, even if you have to decrease the strength to 0.25 or 0.5%...There are no definitive studies on Vit C or peptide efficacy, so it makes more sense to use the ingredient that is backed by science...on the other hand, your skin looks great, so it seems like your routine is working for you!
I just might have to do that!! I do have a .05% that was given to me recently because it was too strong for that person, so I may experiment with it for a while and see what I think. 😊 You're right about the extensive research! 💗
I seriously always trust you with skin care products, thanks to you I stopped using shitty cheap drugstore products and actually investing in good brands and the fact that my skin is so healthy now makes me happy :)
Hi Jenifer. Your skin is just gorgeous and thanks for sharing your great routine. I am almost sixty and I would urge you to consider adding an extra night or two of Retin-a into the mix. I just started RA a year ago and am having great results, but my one regret is that I didn’t stay with RA after I started it in my early 40s. Just a thought. Bless you and I hope you are having a wonderful Holiday season!🌲🌲🌲
I think I may have to try that. 😊 Although I get a lot of gratification from seeing the skin come off, I'm actually considering going down in strength and using it more often to see what I think. I'll be 45 in July, so it's time to pull out all the stops! 😉
That top is such a pretty color on you! I have been using Q-tips since you show it on your videos, I have never thought of it before. I really enjoy your videos, so informative and with unusual products, I will consider some of them 😘
Hi jenifer thank you for responding. I also had really bad sun damage on my chest but has a series of intense pulse light. It makes a Hugh difference and if you are diligent about using your sunscreen after you will keep your chest looking good.
Good morning Jenifer. I love you with that teal / blue top. It’s always a good feeling to take off our make up. Thank you for linking all of your items below for us. I like to take off my mascara and especially my lipstick and brows. Don’t feel bad...I’m right handed so I do feel the same about my left hand being useless unless I’m applying a moisturizer or I use it as a bowl to hold my eye cream. A good Moisture barrier is such a good tip for us. Stay fabulous...enjoyed this video. Happy Monday.
Thank you so much!! Your skin looks great!! Love watching you I feel like I am learning a lot . Seeing your skin pics before and now!! You look so much younger now. Thanks for sharing!!❤️
gosh such a gentle eye cleansing routine beautiful thank you for the idea, lovely - no wonder your skin/eye area looks so amazing. I have 10 years on you and some catching up to do as I just started Ret A last week..:-)
How much do I love you!!! You make the best videos! I love how you make it seem like I’m sitting around with my girlfriends talking skincare instead of watching another same ol’ RUclips video. Anyway, I was wondering if you’ve tried the Maelove Glowmaker that I keep hearing about. I’m interested in what you think about it and if it would replace or add it to any of the day or night products in your videos. Keep the videos coming!! I love ‘em! 💕
Hello Jennifer. I've recently found my way to your Channel and I have greatly appreciated all of the skin care videos and tutorials...learning a ton from you....Thank you! Question....I am spending the weekend at a Sauna that includes a wet steam room. Do you have any advice for facial skin care as I go in and out of the steam room? Do you advise keeping my face dry/ product free, or do you think I will benefit from adding serum (vit-c, etc.) and/or oil (jojoba) prior to or after the steam?
You were too cute - with the panda reference and the duck splashing around your sink :-) Love your multi use of those artis brushes. Your skin looks amazing and I really enjoyed your explanation of why you love the products and what they do. Great demo! ♥ Elle
Retin A -- I started 2 years ago with the lower strength, and increased to strongest for the past year.. I use it "every" night and have never got peeling, redness or anything. One of your videos I have watched is you use it once a week for a good peel.. It doesnt matter if I use it by itself or with a light moisturizer over it, never peel. I just had a series of three microneedling at derm office and mentioned to the NP doing the procedure.. she said my skin must not have anything to exfoliate. I just had a thought, maybe if I just use one night a week like you do, maybe I would get a good peel?? What is your thought on this?
Great job; been using Retin A .05 % now 3 times a week been using for 10 months to work up to that, I can also use on my neck, chest and back of hands. I am ready to move to 1% in a few months and worried about all the dryness,
Jennifer, Does the vit c serum have any silicones in it? You said the texture feels great. Just curious , you said you had bags under eyes , before fillers. Do you feel your sleep habits contributed to thier formation? You are doing a nice job caring for your skin.
Your skin looks great! I use TNS SkinMedica & Osmosis anti aging skin products. Both work great. Regarding under eye area I did a filler for the first time by someone with years experience & good reviews. Not a good result & they used Vobella. Bruising wasn’t bad but it left me lumpy & with bags I never had before. I did it Wednesday & went back today to have an injection to dissolve it. Takes 24-48 for full effect but I’m almost back to normal. I wanted to get rid of some of the dark shadows. Just thought I’d mention this in case anyone else has a bad experience with HA fillers. No one should live with bad results. Not sure I’ll do this again though they promised to use a different method that should give me a good result. I think I’m done with under eye fillers. 😩
Fillers in that area can be a little tricky. Since it's Hyaluronic Acid, and HA draws water to itself, you STILL have to be careful eating salty food, otherwise the filler will swell a bit. I almost put off making this video for that reason. I can see that I look swollen under my eyes and it looks weird to me, but today they look normal. Lol! However, the last time that I had a touch up on my under eye filler (1/2 syringe) was in March of this year, so it's been about 8 months. I actually wish a bit of it would dissolve on it's own, but it's not budging AT ALL. And I actually still have quite a bit left from the first time I even had it done which was March 2016. The things we do! 😉💗💚 But I'm surprised they didn't try to talk you out of dissolving it so soon after injections. I've always read and heard that it takes at least 2 weeks to a month for the product and your body to find a balance, that's when it settles into place nicely and softens to the touch.
Jenifer Jenkins They told me the result was not typical of Vobella because Vobella draws in far less water & after 3 days I shouldn’t be so unhappy. I am glad they dissolved it after a few days as there was no way I could go 2 weeks with visible lumpiness. Vobella Juvederm is Restalyne Silk equal. They didn’t place it deep enough so next time they want to place it under the muscle. However I’m no longer interested. I look way better without the under eye filler. I think your under eyes look great! 👍🏼
Thanks for the tips Jenifer. Those are good ideas. I wonder sometimes if the way I remove my makeup is too abrasive. Oh that Cerave cleanser is amazing!! I love it as well. Take care :)
Hi Jenifer, thank you for all the research and videos you do for all of us. I really enjoy them. I am getting very light age spots starting to show on my face, any thoughts to what could help fade them?
Jenifer, thanks for sharing your routine! I'm a subcriber and appreciate all your information. I recently purchased aloe gel and have been slowly mixing in essential oils and using based on your prior routines. Are you still using an aloe diy mixture or have you suspended this recently? If so, was there a reason this stopped working for you? Thanks!
Hi, Jen! I started using the Donell AHA 20% upon your recommendation on my chest and I have noticed a great improvement in relatively short amount of time. So, thank you for that tip/advice! I'm debating on whether or not to begin to rotate in the Eva Naturals Vitamin C+ on my chest as you do. How long have you been using the Eva Naturals Vitamin C+ on your chest? This was a very informative video....
I've only been using the Eva Naturals Vitamin C+ for about 3 months. But I just love it! It seems to include a lot of ingredients that are supposed to help with discoloration which is why I like to use it on my chest. 😊
I feel you on the eyes aging fast. I’m 45 and woke up one morning and had loose wrinkled eyes. I’ve been trying different things but haven’t found that one perfect cream yet.
Why don't you use the Micellar Water or even organic Jojoba Oil all over your face, including your eyes to soften ALL of your make up? Massage & rinse and THEN use your cleanser & cleansing brush so you're not pushing makeup all around your face. A two-step cleansing method won't even require Q-Tips or wipes that often contain irritating ingredients like fragrance. Thank you for sharing your skincare tips! I just ordered a few Eva Naturals serums and I love Cerave too! BTW: I wish beauty vloggers would remind us to TRY to sleep on our back, use a satin pillowcase and apply skincare thinnest to thickest -- cleanse, tone, hydrate w serums/gels & then moisturize w cream to seal in the hydration. Some can even add Shea Butter or Jojoba as their final step to help skin retain moisture.
I just ordered vidi vitamin C and the 30% glycolic peel. I have retina A .05%. So if you use .1%, would you recommend using it twice per week instead? It’s kind of been siting on my shelf for a while.
You are so smart to have started a great skincare routine at your age. Your skin always looks beautiful, Jenifer. Always enjoy you videos, my friend..MaryEllen
Thank you MaryEllen! My little girl is going to have the BEST skin when she grows up! Lol! I wish my mom would have taught me more about skincare when I was growing up. Better late than never! Your skin look fantastic too!
Hey gorgeous!! You're so naturally beautiful!!! Ok the Cerave! I'm doing cleanser use ups and I'm about to start using those!! I hope I love it too!! But I don't have the SA formula.....I'm getting the derma e solution!!! Last night I lost about half my head with flaking. lol!!You had me at "It makes your skin feel tight"!!! I might get the Osmosis for my neck!!! My neck just can nottttt take Tretinoin often! I STILL ignore my chest!! The Vitamin C Plus sounds good!!! Great ingredients!! Thank you for sharing your skincare sister!! I'm going to order that derma e before I forget! Excited about that! Kisses!! xoxoxo!!!
Hi Kathy! 💗 I tried the other CeraVe cleansers, but I seemed to like this one the best. I actually gave the other's away to my sister. You made me laugh out loud with your losing half your head comment! 😄 That Osmosis is SUPER gentle, but it's a little pricey. It lasts forever though. And it uses Retinaldehyde (a vitamin A derivative) which is supposed to be stronger than Retinol, weaker than retin-A, has the same benefits as both, but with little to no irritation. I just love it!
Nice ideas! When I finish washing my face, water is running down the sink on the floor no matter how much I try to not splash! Using the brush seems like it would get your face cleaner. I was following another lady on youtube and she said you never mix a retinoid with any type of acid. Do you follow this? Thank you so much for the infor!
Lots of great ingredients! Your skin looks amazing! I love a lot of the same key ingredients and they really do make a difference. Love the panda ;)) xoxo Oh do you just leave the vit a toner on the skin and not rinse it off right?
Hey Stranger. Lol! 😄 Yes, I do leave it on and just let it dry. I wipe everything down first, just to make sure my face is nice and clean, then I apply some more and let it dry. I really feel like it helps release the little flakes that are trying to fall off. 😊
I know this sounds crazy, but I'm really not particular about my body washes, even though I should be. Definitely need to start working on that. But you may want to look into the CeraVe line. They typically use a lot of hydrating ingredients in their products. 😊
I am asking this question only because I have been told two different things about Retin A. Is it ok to use Retin A and a retinol at the same time. By that I mean, use them within the same week? Thank you! Love your honesty!
I've always read that it's perfectly fine to use retin-a and retinol in the same week. (I wouldn't suggest using them in the same day) Retinol is a vitamin A derivative just like Retin-A. However, an enzyme in your skin is required to break down Retinol and convert it into Retinaldehyde and then into Retinoic acid, which is what Retin-A is. So retinol is just a lot gentler than Retin-A since it requires 2 conversions in order to be used effectively. So I don't see why you wouldn't be able to use a strong and a weaker form of vitamin A during the same week. 😊 But I'm curious as to the reason someone would give for Not using them in the same week. 💗
I’m into peptides right now, too. I stopped my Retin-A until after our Mexico trip in December (where I’ll get more!). I’m missing it, though. Has your skin tone on your chest always been so even (or close to it) and you’re maintaining it, or have you done a lot of correcting with the products you mentioned? The skin on my face is almost flawless, and unfortunately, my chest has a lot of sun damage 😬
Heather Elzinga Jenifer has stated in previous videos that she only had just been addressing her chest more recently, wishing she would have done so a lot sooner. She has stated that she has been seeing a lot of positive changes in the past several months of sunspots and evening.
Same here Heather!! Since I was 28 I've always taken pretty good care of the skin on my face. Just recently, within the last few years, I have been addressing my chest. I can't believe I neglected it as long as I have. I have seen a lot of improvement with the Donell 20 AHA lotion. Since I added the vitamin c serum, I have seen even more! But nothing happens over night. It's a process. Here real soon, I'm going to experiment with a 50% Glycolic acid products that I've been waiting to try. I'll be recording it, so stay tuned. 😄💗
I love the other tips as well, because I hate how messy washing my face can be. YOu are right, its like a little baby duck took a bath in my sink afterwards.
Thanks Jenifer! I feel like I'm cheating when I watch your videos lol. I'm accustomed to researching all my skin care products but I think you've done all the legwork! 👏👍😂
Do you have a body routine for skin? What moisturizer to use in shower, dry brushing, exfoliating etc? Removal of those ugly red bumps on arms type of thing. There is so many products out there for the body. I know we take much more care of our hands, face, neck, and chest but what about the rest of our bodies. I dry brush before showering and exfoliate in shower. I am not sure what to use for arms when I get those red bumps. I am currently trying the Donell aha 20 body tingle because it is for entire body. Your information and research helps because you seem to use cost effective stuff. Thank you....
Hi, so do you not use the Osmosis on Friday,Saturday,Sunday nights? Thanks Also, are you not suppose to apply the Osmosis renew 4 onto the skin first and then after use the activating mist? Sorry I’m asking because that’s how Brianna stanko showed how it should be used. Or does it not matter ? Thanks again
Hi SonR 😊 I don't use the Osmosis on Thurs-Sun. I just try to focus on moisturizing on those days. And with the Osmosis, you actually don't have to use the activating mist with it all, but I prefer it. It actually helps me to spread the product more evenly. I've read that it can used either of the 3 ways...alone, first, or mixed. 💗
Thanks so much for your information. After working slowly up to the full strength Tretinoin (Retin A) which took one whole year, I am finally using it almost every night. My question is this: some dermatologists suggest moisturizing right after application of the Retin A. Others recommend moisturizing right before application. I apply the Retin A, then follow up with a hyaluronic acid and then moisturizer. Do you have any advice as to which is better? Thanks!
I really don't know which is better. In the past when I have applied moisturizer before, after or with my retin-a, I never get the skin shed, which to me is very gratifying. So the only thing I was left to believe is that moisturizers somehow dilute the product or reduce it's effectiveness. I did look it up and dermatologists seem to be conflicted on that issue. They all agree that adding moisturizer before or after reduces irritation, but it seems to be split as to whether or not it interferes with it's effectiveness. Here is a quote from a Beverly Hills Dermatological Surgeon that I read: "If you mix moisturizer with Retin-A you now have diluted the Retin-A making it less effective. While you may have less irritated skin from doing this, you are not using Retin-A to its full potential to achieve a particular dermatological goal. Unfortunately, even most dermatologists do not understand how to use Retin-A effectively. " Sameer Bashey, MD Beverly Hills Dermatologic Surgeo
Hi Jenifer, thanks so much for answering back. I agree with what you said regarding diluting the Retin A. The difference is, that I keep reading research that says that the Retin A will be diluted if you combine with a moisturizer. I usually put the Retin A on a dry face. I wait a few minutes, then I apply the hyaluronic acid followed by the moisturizer. It is hard to figure out from the information out there, if the Retin A is diluted at all, if after a few minutes topped with moisturizer. Thanks so much, I will keep researching...By the way, I do get peeling, but maybe not as much as if I skipped the moisturizer. Thanks again!!
I add a moisturizer but I wait at least 20 minutes. I would wait longer than a few minutes. But I have to say one of my most favorite estheticians who owned a medi spa really thought it was important to skip the moisturizer.
So I'm a bit confused... I just started using the osmosis, and they say to use it on dry skin with no product on it whatsoever, but then moisturize and use eye cream 30min after if needed... But I see that you use all your serums and creams and then the osmosis... What do you recommend? Im 47 with combination skin... And I'm trying to get my skin ready for retin a (never used it before)... Oh and also I get no irritation from the osmosis...
Did you have any work done? I find it hard to believe that at 44 you look so great! You look like a princess, so beautiful. I love how natural and honest your presentation is. Love you. If you have any experience with fillers/botox, I would so appreciate if you could share.
Hi Jenifer, I want to buy an eye cream. Could you tell me if you preferred the 100% pure coffee eye cream or the Luminositie one you used in this video.
Oh geez! That's a hard one. I think I would go with the Luminositie, only because it's super light weight and hydrates really well under makeup . That eye cream is quickly becoming my favorite!
Hi Jenifer, have you ever considered making your own vitamin C products? I ask because the cost is fractional and vitamin C has a very short shelf life. When you make it at home, you need to keep it refrigerated and only lasts 5-7 days. I was told by a skincare professional that the vitamin C products sold in the stores are just expensive creams because the vitamin C that they once contained is no longer active because of the short shelf life. What are your thoughts on this? TFS!!
I've tried to make my own Vitamin C before and for whatever reason it always came out grainy. I ended up spending so much money on different types of vitamin c powder and they all came out grainy. Lol! Is there a trick? 😊 However the Vitamin C in this product is micro-encapsulated. Apparently it's supposed to be a lot more stable with a longer shelf life. And because the packaging doesn't allow any air or light in, it's supposed to add to it's longevity. 💗
Jenifer Jenkins Hum, I'm not sure. I haven't made mine for quite some time, but I don't recall mine being grainy. I did put vegetable glycerin in mine to make it more of a serum. Perhaps that made a difference?
Hi ,Have been watching all your videos and enjoying them.just wanted to ask you that why don’t you use a lower strength Retin A (.05%) that ways you can use it every day without any irritating or peeling,I know you must have surely tried it but thought I’ll write it anyway. Love from Mumbai India 🇮🇳
Grusha Singh I purchased Retin A a few months ago in Spain and I still haven’t started using it! Lol, I’m scared! Will I purge? Will my face looked burned?! 🙄🤣
Hi Grusha 😊 This is going to sound crazy, but I actually get gratification from a good peel, so I use my retin-a as a weekly, light chemical peel, if you will. I feel like it just gives me a jump start to my skincare each week. When I started out years ago (over 15 yrs ago) my skin acclimated so quickly to the lower strengths, and although I know that's the goal, I actually missed seeing the dead, dull skin come off. So I've just decided to do it this way ever since. 😉
Miasmomma1, it's not that bad. Lol! 😊Just plan ahead. For your first time use, apply it on a Wed or Thurs, so that if you do experience some flaking and peeling, it will happen over the weekend. Or experiment with it on your chest first. Ha! That's what I do with skincare I'm nervous about trying. 😉
I'm 30 and I use .05 retin a but I mix it with a little bit of my facial serum otherwise the retin a doesn't spread. My skin still peels a bit every now and then. But the retin a does make my skin a bit puffy
I LOVE squalane!! I always keep a bottle on hand. When I purchase an eye cream for the ingredients, but it's not as moisturizing as I'd like, I'll add a drop of squalane and walla! 😉 I also like to add it to DIY's. 💜💗
nice video. have you ever tried the Korean Beauty routine? its the most gentle way to treat your skin to a at home spa. Wait..back up.. you are over 40?
Like the video jen. I love watching skincare videos you have great products . I love my retin a too. I don't use it everyday bout like every 2 days . Your eyes aren't bad at all mine are real bad I'm in my early 30s I think I got it genetically . Anyways you take care
No, I discussed 2 different Vitamin C products in this video, but I just realized that I forgot to include the first one....the Vidi Vitamin C. The other one in the dropper bottle is the one that I apply to my chest. I'm so sorry. Here is a link to it: VIDI Skincare Face Serum Vitamin C20: amzn.to/2pYuIfu
Great video. Keep it simple no fragrance. Clean products and just what you need like the Cera ve products. Don't mix to many things on your skin. Its not needed.
Jenifer Jenkins ...yes pls do get back to me. 8 a, looking for a good peptide serum and I saw you mention the Eva Naturals one....would love to try it if they ship to uk but no info on their site. Thanks again x
Oh Lord, that's a good question! I have no idea. But the only ones that are a little pricey would be the Retin-A, the Sanita's Retinol Peeling Cream and the Osmosis Renew Level 4 Vitamin A Serum. All the other's are around $30 and below. The Eva Natural Products are very reasonably priced. I added links to each product in my description box if you want to check them out. 😊
Angel Tortoriello Muscles In Balance LLC since watching this video I ordered every product she mentioned except for Retin A (I already had that). My total was around $260.
That shirt color looks incredible on you and of course, your skin looks beautiful as well. Also, wanted to comment on how thick and lovely your hair is looking as I know you had that hair fallout scare. I was watching miss congeniality just now and thought you looked like this cast member. No idea who she is but had to share bit.ly/2BIjgdE - obviously the woman on the right
I bought a good one and did it once, but something in my gut felt weird about it. I researched a TON and decided that I just could not do it. In promoting it, they say, "it is good to let the products go into the skin's surface deeper." In reality, you do NOT want any of the products made to absorb into the skin by being placed ON the skin's surface to actually go IN the skin- those are two totally different things. Products are made to go ON the skin, not IN to the cuts or cracks or puncture holes in the skin. So, I put mine in a drawer and feel much better for not using it. If they come out with more tried and true stats that say it really works (not just people's opinions" then I may pull it back out. :-)
It is literally the Gold Standard in Skincare, with a ton of research and evidence to support it's effectiveness. It was originally used to treat acne, but when they started to realize that it also helped with sun damage and discoloration, skin firmness and collagen production, it quickly became a popular anti-aging product. It's pretty incredible, but in the US it does require a prescription. 💜💗💙
Thank you, that's good to know. 😊💗
Word.
Janine McKenna RetinA is the best kept secret. Been on it from 20s years old to now (mid-late 40s now).
You're welcome 😊 I always choose my products by Ingredients! So I'm constantly scouring Amazon, looking for products with the best combinations. 💗
I am 62😲 and just started proper skin care! I just started Retin A ......wish I knew to do this 10 yrs ago 😔
It's never too late Angel
I love that blue color on you! I enjoy your videos so much, Jenifer. Your skin looks amazing.
Thank you so much Brooke! 💜💗💙
I’ve been incorporating some of your product recommendations and enjoying them so much!! 😊
I really enjoy your videos, so informative and with unusual products, I will consider some of them 😘
Thank you Graita, I really appreciate you watching! 💜💗💙
Thank you Ranalynn! 💗 It really is a good feeling to take off our makeup....I just wish it looked good too. Lol! 😉
Thank you so much!! Your skin looks great!! Love watching you I feel like I am learning a lot . Seeing your skin pics before and now!! You look so much younger now. Thanks for sharing!!❤️
Awe...thank you Shelia! That means a lot! 💗
gosh such a gentle eye cleansing routine beautiful thank you for the idea, lovely - no wonder your skin/eye area looks so amazing.
Hi Jennifer! I love that micellar water. It was nice to see your routine and whats working. Your skin looks great.
Thank you Julie! 💗
You were too cute - with the panda reference and the duck splashing around your sink :-) Love your multi use of those artis brushes. Your skin looks amazing and I really enjoyed your explanation of why you love the products and what they do. Great demo! ♥ Elle
Thank you Elle! The first time I saw that Panda Meme, I just died laughing because that's exactly how I feel! 😀😄
How many years have you used retin A? You look amazing!
Can you do an updated skincare routine please:) love your channel!!!
Yes. Retin-A, Glycolic acid, Vitamin C, and Niacinamide will all help with that. I try to include those ingredients weekly. 😊
Thank you so much for that information, Happy Holidays!
New subbie!!!! Love your videos I’m binge watching all of them 😁
Hi Jenifer... Quick question... Do you use your toner on your retin a nights??? PLEASE let me know!!!
Thank you so much... Love all your videos!!
It's a pretty mild glycolic toner, so yes I do. 😊
Forgot to mention that I also use the Derma E glycolic toner from your recommendations. It's okay--I'm still searching for my HG toner.....
Your skin is beautiful and you should wear your hair pulled back more!! Makes you look like a 30 year old😍 great video
Teal sweater is very pretty on you nice color
Thank you Lori! 💗😊
Hi Jenifer, you are beautiful! Love your videos, they are really informative and very helpful! Thumbs up to your channel from Northern Ireland!
Thank you so much! 💚💜💗
Love your top colour on you. Beautiful. Your hair colour is also looking stunning.
Thank you Adele! 💗
Hi Jenifer I just found your skincare routine thank you I will watch your morning routine as well.
You look amazing!! This was very informative thank you!
J, you are a smart cookie! Good teacher.
Can you tell me anything about the delivery system of the vit c serum you are using? Just curious about this product in general. Thanks
I bought the Dream E glycolic toner after seeing one of your videos and absolutely LOVE IT! Thanks! (I use retina a every night)
What brand of vitamin c serum did you use right after you used the toner? Thanks!
Angie, I use VIDI Vitamin C Serum, it's incredible! I attached a link to it in my description box. 😉
Jenifer Jenkins Thank you!!
I always look forward to your videos!
Thank you Maura! I sure do appreciate you watching! 💗
Beauty By Anne-Marie
Agreed !!! You both have great skin!!!
Hey Stranger. Lol! 😄 Yes, I do leave it on and just let it dry. I wipe everything down first, just to make sure my face is nice and clean, then I apply some more and let it dry. I really feel like it helps release the little flakes that are trying to fall off. 😊
Sabrina Stovall Thank you so much!! xoxo
I'll have to try it, I love a few of the derma e products already and have used my favorites from them for years. Will pick this one up too :)) xoxo
Hi Jenifer, great video! I have a random question for you, what soap do you use when showering? I'm looking for one the hydrates my dry skin, thanks
Great memory Jessica! 💗
Lol! Thank you Kim! I feel like it's all I do these days....research! 😊💜💗
Your eye makeup looks great! :)
Oh wow, that's not a compliment I get very often, so thank you! 💗
ES SA Amlactin lotion is what you need! It’s an alpha hydroxy lotion that gently exfoliates and gets rid of all the bumpy skin
Hi, so do you not use the Osmosis on Friday,Saturday,Sunday nights? Thanks
Also, are you not suppose to apply the Osmosis renew 4 onto the skin first and then after use the activating mist? Sorry I’m asking because that’s how Brianna stanko showed how it should be used. Or does it not matter ? Thanks again
Hi SonR 😊 I don't use the Osmosis on Thurs-Sun. I just try to focus on moisturizing on those days. And with the Osmosis, you actually don't have to use the activating mist with it all, but I prefer it. It actually helps me to spread the product more evenly. I've read that it can used either of the 3 ways...alone, first, or mixed. 💗
Jenifer Jenkins ...thanks so much for replying. Yes I have the activating mist too it does help spread the product well. X
I absolutely love and enjoy this video so much thanks for sharing 💙💜💚💗💛
Thank you Kelly! 💗
You look great! You’re twice my age but your skin looks better than mine!
Great video ! Love your nail polish , can you share color ? 😊
Hi Kurylo 😊 It's made my Sally Hansen Insta-Dri and the color is Racing Rose.
Thanks!
Cloonanne I’m curious, too. I’m following up with a gentle moisturizer right now containing hyaluronic acid.
Here is a quote from a Beverly Hills Dermatological Surgeon that I read:
"If you mix moisturizer with Retin-A you now have diluted the Retin-A making it less effective. While you may have less irritated skin from doing this, you are not using Retin-A to its full potential to achieve a particular dermatological goal. Unfortunately, even most dermatologists do not understand how to use Retin-A effectively. "
Sameer Bashey, MD
Beverly Hills Dermatologic Surgeo
Just posted a video on this topic. 😊
ruclips.net/video/JYG2gxsby2M/видео.html
I am going to get the sanitas for Christmas I think...I like to see a good peel! Not just flaking...lol...
Jenifer Jenkins Thank you very much for responding. I will try out that eye cream.
TFS!!
Iheart2cook Elle is for living makes her own serum ..
Jenifer Jenkins I'm going to find the video Elle for living made ..It's been awhile since I watched it . I will send you the link if your interested .
Carrie's Bargains I've seen Elle's video. In fact, I think I have it saved to my favorites. Thank you though :)
Jenifer Jenkins Hum, I'm not sure. I haven't made mine for quite some time, but I don't recall mine being grainy. I did put vegetable glycerin in mine to make it more of a serum. Perhaps that made a difference?
Hi Jennifer. Do you ever use vitamin c during the day?
Hi ,Have been watching all your videos and enjoying them.just wanted to ask you that why don’t you use a lower strength Retin A (.05%) that ways you can use it every day without any irritating or peeling,I know you must have surely tried it but thought I’ll write it anyway. Love from Mumbai India 🇮🇳
Grusha Singh I purchased Retin A a few months ago in Spain and I still haven’t started using it! Lol, I’m scared! Will I purge? Will my face looked burned?! 🙄🤣
.5% btw
In a former video she explained she simply got better results this way.
I have a .05% that I think I may try to start using more often to see how I like it. 😉
looking gorgeous as usual!!!!
I have a kind of a personal question......Have you had a breast augmentation earlier in life?
I have. 😄
I appreciate your time and opinions. What are your thoughts on squalene or squalane . Thank you .
Omg so many products!
Wait! I just realized your titles say over 40! Are you seriously over 40?!?!? I was thinking maybe 30, definitely not 40. Damn, girl!! Props!!!
I'm 45 now, but I was 44 in this video. Thank you so much!! 🤗❤
Like the video jen. I love watching skincare videos you have great products . I love my retin a too. I don't use it everyday bout like every 2 days . Your eyes aren't bad at all mine are real bad I'm in my early 30s I think I got it genetically . Anyways you take care
Thank you Michelle! 💗 I bet your eyes are beautiful! 😊
My nighttime routine...brush teeth, take meds, put in retainer. 🤣 sleep in my makeup 🤭
Amy Chapman haha you sound like my sister!
That made me laugh out loud! 😆😄😆 I wish I could get away with that! 💗
LOL!!!! Best comment yet! :)
LmAoooo 😆😆😆😆😆
Where did you get the brush that you washed your face with?
hi there. do you know what the ph of the vitamin c is. I might try this. mant thanks kelsy. xxx
Hi Kelsy 😊 I'm so sorry, I do not. I tried to find out and had no luck.
Did the vitamin c serum change packaging? The amazon link is one to a dropper bottle?
No, I discussed 2 different Vitamin C products in this video, but I just realized that I forgot to include the first one....the Vidi Vitamin C. The other one in the dropper bottle is the one that I apply to my chest. I'm so sorry. Here is a link to it:
VIDI Skincare Face Serum Vitamin C20: amzn.to/2pYuIfu
You look amazing at 40!!
Great video. Keep it simple no fragrance. Clean products and just what you need like the Cera ve products. Don't mix to many things on your skin. Its not needed.
Thank you Casey 😉
WHAT you are over 40? You are amazing!
Thank you so much! ❤️❤️
just subscribed!!!
Thank you! 💗💜💚
Does Eva Naturals ship to the uk? Doesn’t give any info on the site when click on ‘shipping’ ?
Oh no, I've really not sure. I'll have to look into that and get back with you. 😊
Jenifer Jenkins ...yes pls do get back to me. 8 a, looking for a good peptide serum and I saw you mention the Eva Naturals one....would love to try it if they ship to uk but no info on their site. Thanks again x
I've used the vidi vitamin c it's awesome. I just went to order the eva naturals eye stuff but they are out :(
Lol girl I thought I was the only one with panda eyes
So did I!
Lol! What's funny is that you didn't respond under my comment to your original question, but I remembered what you asked. 😄😄
Bummer. Eva Naturals doesn’t deliver to Canada. :(
Jenifer, Thank you for this! Love you beautiful girl. Your soul shines so brightly! Love and Light 💖Carli
You're the sweetest! I just love your positivity Thank you Carli! 💗💚💜
Great video! Is useful and you are so beautiful!!!!!
Thank you so much Regina! 💗
Jennifer, about how much does this cost for this nighttime routine?
Oh Lord, that's a good question! I have no idea. But the only ones that are a little pricey would be the Retin-A, the Sanita's Retinol Peeling Cream and the Osmosis Renew Level 4 Vitamin A Serum. All the other's are around $30 and below. The Eva Natural Products are very reasonably priced. I added links to each product in my description box if you want to check them out. 😊
Thank you Jennifer!
Angel Tortoriello Muscles In Balance LLC since watching this video I ordered every product she mentioned except for Retin A (I already had that). My total was around $260.
Thank you Tina 😊
The proof is in the pudding! You look more gorgeous than ever Jenifer :)
Oh how sweet! Thank you Cindy! 💗💜💙
You shouldn’t use vitamin c with peptides
ugh...u look good without makeup...
Jenn I'm 43 and you look younger than me !! Your skin looks amazing!
Sabrina, I'm 44. Lol! I'm sure we look the same age. 😊 At our age, it's all about the lighting. Lol!
Thank you Knife Nut! 💗
Don't do the salicylic acid with retinA . They cancel each other
That shirt color looks incredible on you and of course, your skin looks beautiful as well. Also, wanted to comment on how thick and lovely your hair is looking as I know you had that hair fallout scare. I was watching miss congeniality just now and thought you looked like this cast member. No idea who she is but had to share bit.ly/2BIjgdE - obviously the woman on the right
Do you derma roll? If not, why?
I have never dermarolled, but I am actively researching it right now! I'm definitely intrigued, I was just skeptical. 😊
Have you tried dermarrolling???
Not yet, but I'm working on it. Just want to do a bunch of research first. 😊
What are the benefits of Retin A?
It is literally the Gold Standard in Skincare, with a ton of research and evidence to support it's effectiveness. It was originally used to treat acne, but when they started to realize that it also helped with sun damage and discoloration, skin firmness and collagen production, it quickly became a popular anti-aging product. It's pretty incredible, but in the US it does require a prescription. 💜💗💙
What r ur thoughts on Derma rolling
I've never tried it but I'm actively researching it right now. 😊
