Butterflies at no.79 is a crime
Haha I agree. It’s been over a year since I made this list and I’ve been really curious to see what it would look like if I did it again.
I’ve actually been listening to Butterflies a lot lately and it’s really grown on me. It’s definitely one of the most under appreciated tracks from MJ’s later albums.
I really like how high She Drives Me Wild is I love that song!
I personally love “I can’t help it “ one of my soothing songs. But I can understand why someone wouldn’t like it
Love this and respect the effort you put into it. And I've always loved She Drives Me Wild so awesome to see it at number 2

Wow! This is the most interesting list I’ve seen to date! A lot of love for Invincible-era tracks, which is just awesome. A lot of unique songs in your top 10!
Do you just prefer those outtakes to the hits (like Billie Jean, Smooth Criminal, etc) or is there something about the hits you don’t like as much? I’d love to hear why!
I’ve grown a newfound appreciation for I’m So Blue lately as well so I’m glad there’s others out there that have respect for it.
Interesting, in your ranking there is no ballad before the 26th place. At the top: only "happy" songs. It would be fun to re-rank these songs in 20 years, I think there would be many differences. 😄
My ranking is radically different from yours, but not necessarily the one that everybody would expect. We are all different :)

I’m with you there! I’d definitely love to revisit this at some point in the future. I think my tier list would change if I remade it today and it’s only been a few weeks/months depending on which video is being referenced.
Leave Me Alone is such an underrated song. The music video is one of this best and arguably most creative while creating a fun, upbeat song with a more dark meaning to it. If Fall Again had a proper release, it would’ve done great numbers as well. His vocals are outstanding and I wish he would’ve fully finished it.
I really like your list! It’s always cool hearing someone else’s rankings and why they appreciate some songs as opposed to others.

you should do the rankings of the ai songs too, I think there are some really good ones out there. some that sound pretty authentic.

It’s kinda hard to pick a “worst” song since all of MJ’s music is extremely good, so it’s more just personal preference. I listen to Come Together the least of all his tracks and while it’s objectively a good song, it’s just not really my favorite.

Fair enough haha. It really is “ranking every adult MJ song” but I didn’t want to put that in the title. I also listen to all his adult work on the daily and haven’t heard his younger solo albums more than once and I thought it would be unfair to compare those considering his musical styles changed a lot throughout the years and I didn’t want to give a weak opinion on them. Someone mentioned I go back through those albums and the Jackson’s work and talk about/rank those so that’s something I believe I’ll get to at some point in the near future. Sorry if I misled you bro
I understand I first discovered young Mike, j5, the jacksons back in 2012 so I know the whole discography by heart because I listen to them yearly and MJ daily of course we all know all of his adult albums beginning from off the wall to invincible you got 2 different ways you can hear his voice change while he's growing up it got deeper during j5s get it together, dancing machine and moving violation albums also mjs music and me and forever, michael albums it's a beautiful experience
Forever, Michael has some of my fav songs I think it's far superior to his 00s+ years work
Smooth Criminal, DSTYGE, and WBSS are my top 3. Then comes Billie Jean (everyone has this #1). Then comes two more from Bad, Speed Demon and TWYMMF. Then the title tracks of Dangerous and Bad, then Beat It, that’s my top 9
Then many Dangerous and Bad songs plus Thriller and Baby Be Mine competing for the 10th spot. (I don’t really like Off The Wall album)
Speed Demon getting some love! I really love the production and energy to it and I never understand why it gets so much hate. I like OTW but I just find it less experimental and although there’s nothing wrong with it, it’s get a little more repetitive than his other albums.
I also just adore WBSS and really wish we could’ve seen it be performed live for This Is It, that instrumental is killer!
I have to agree Off The Wall isn’t my favorite I only really like She’s Out of My Life

I find it to be really catchy and his live performances of it give it even more life. Which ones do you think are better?
@@christiandebetta I unironically found thriller and beat it to be better. As well as rock with you, some songs on dangerous xscape, invincible, especially butterflies and whatever happens, and earth song. I still think billie jean is to 25-30. But I just find it to be boring.

Genius like stranger in Moscow earth song keep the faith will you be there no where near high enough and she drives me wild at No2 oh my word 🙈🙈🙈lol

Haha I have a thing for SDMW even knowing that putting it that high would catch me some heat. I’ve really come around on Earth Song as of late and man the demo is just so killer as well. I appreciate the kind comment my guy!
