Poets of the Fall make some amazing music. Highly recommend checking them out. Especially their Signs of Life and Revolution Roulette albums, if you want more rock oriented music.
The bizarre thing is everything he experienced isn’t necessarily just the dark place either. Most of it is Warlin Doors influence and he’s separate from Scratch or the dark presence even though he also is in there. Mr. Door is a real person just like Alan and Tim Breaker and also Thomas Zane. The bizarre thing is there all still trapped there. Thomas Zane never died. Alan thought he killed Thomas but when you watch the video you see Thomas walk away from it as if nothing happened implying he is very much alive still. Same thing happens with Alan in the end when he states it’s not a loop, it’s a spiral. But yea Mr. Door was the one doing all that stuff to Alan aka Scratch and I actually think it’s because Door knew Alan was also Scratch and was trying to prevent him from escaping not to really be evil but to actually be good or at least it sorta appeared that way. But Door failed in the end and he also had his own true agenda of why he is was in the dark place I believe which he hints at. And some reason he involved Tim Breaker in it which is why he is in the dark place and you encounter him various times as Alan Wake. It’s all a very interesting story. I also believe Mr. Door is Saga’s true father. The one who went missing when she was very little and had issues with Tor Anderson and was described as a complicated bastard which Door very much seems with his bizarre power and all. I think Tor even used doors as some way to describe her father. Saying he like opened doors to alot of complicated things…or like something like this and saying it wasn’t the way Andersons work but he definitely used the words doors which is very interesting…
I was honestly thinking Mr. Door was Saga's missing father. Remember the part where Mr. Door said talking to Alan "And so is someone important to me, someone you pulled into this." I think Mr. Door was referring to Saga.
This was an awe moment in gaming history, just like Arthur's last ride in RDR2. The layers to how deep this segment goes is astounding. As far as my interpretation, the dark presence further corrupting Alan's psyche, takes his life story, fears and hopes and reproduces it through an amazing musical sequence for him and us. As amazing as this part is, it's still the dark presence and that's incredibly twisted and somehow incredibly fun at the same time. It's not only scaring Alan but also us the gamers, as we're seeing "real life" images within a video game. Alan's gonna have to seriously rise up in his craft and upgrade his writing skills to Shakespearian levels in the next game if he's to come out of the never ending night. Absolute masterpiece and my personal GOTY.
Special moment in gaming. For real, been gaming since old ATARI and this moment was like a blastttttt, Remedy really makes games with a lot of love, we must protect them at all cost.
Everything about this scene is one of the best things I've ever experienced in a video game. The music, the concept, the layout, the execution. Perfection!
I loved this section so much that I'm now addicted to watching other people play it for the first time. The best sequence I have ever played in any game.
PERFECT segment of a video game. I can't think of any way it could possibly be improved upon - thus, it is PERFECT. This part brought me joy I haven't felt from a video game in years. It also helps that 1:37:37 establishes the new standard of introducing new weapons. Further, it helps that I actively seek reactions from people about this part.
The reaction to the musical 🎵🎶 chapter was speechless 😶😅 I was totally blown away from the experience. Amazing 🤩 I was jammin' to this particular part, no doubt 😅
Remedy absolutely cooked after all this time, the sequel was so worth it, i really hope it becomes GOTY no other game, delivered something so new and fresh
Been binge watching reactions to this and "The Ashtray Maze" and this is the first time ive noticed. 1:41:16 the lyrics are about Alan saving Alice from the darkness of the lake...and the beefiest Taken he has to unceremoniously kill is a Taken versions of Alice...savage
I love this episode. It really brings a special look on the story and I love every bit of it. You are doing a good job on the game and I am glad to be there for it. Seeing Alan Wake 2 just takes me back to the first Alan Wake and I wonder if they was going to bring a second one out. Now I am hoping for a third game. Good job Paige
Remedy Games is known for its musical missions. We SING is definitely their most technically complex effort, seamlessly blending CGI and live footage. I can't wait to see what Sam Lake comes up with for CONTROL 2.
The funny thing is that this whole musical is basically dark place messing with alan. Right before he enters, he said "no more surprises" and the dark place went "hold my beer".
This section of the game reminds me of the MAX PAYNE 2 'haunted house' chapter. Always replayed the game to go back to that mental institution chapter XD
😁try walking and not running for a change, you'll get to see the taken spawning at a distance before you're completely surrounded. And good thing you're playing with the mouse, though I'd really love to watch you trying to line some head-shots with a controller. 😋
As many others, I was looking for people's reaction to this chapter when I arrived here. Your aim is quite good I must say...for a moment I thought this was a John Wick game haha
I have a theory on who Mr.Door is and I’m like 75% certain I’m correct on it. I believe Mr.Door is Saga’s biological father. The one who apparently was a real complicated bastard and that had issues with Tor and I guess Odin. Hell Tor even sorta describes her father in a way that gives a clue to his identity and he says something along the lines of like your father is a complicated man who opened one to many doors to complicated paths…or like something like this but he definitely used the word doors and I mean like…that’s sorta Mr.Doors thing. And he is like black to lol so I mean it kinda all fits. Plus I mean if everyone just about in her family has some sort of power it would make sense her father does to I guess. Maybe like she got her powers from his bloodline and not her mothers? And maybe her father is just abit more powerful and complex? Because we clearly see that Mr.Door isn’t really effected by the dark place much. My only confusion on this theory is that I believe Saga does at one point briefly user her mind palace thing to profile Mr.Door alittle bit from what I remember. And if he was related and the father wouldn’t he have the ability to counter her or talk to her directly like Tor and Odin did? Unless he just chose to not do that to hide his identity? Or maybe his power is just different? Who knows, I’m very curious about him though. He seems even more of like a storyline and plot then even the dark presence and Scratch. Cause like why was Door even in there? Why doesn’t he try to get out? And why was he messing with Alan Wake during his time there? And why did Warlin Door try to contact Tim Breaker the sheriff and trap him? So many questions.
if this game dont win the game of the year i will be pissed off i thought how could they beat aw1 the asgard farm but omg what a 13 min segmant yhe damm song like an ear worm
You know a part in a game is truly epic when you go around youtube looking for other peoples' reactions to it.
Friggin YUP.
yep
I've been doin it NON-STOP my man, I just LOVE seeing how everyone was just as frickin stunned as I was when I played through this chapter!
Hell yes!
Guilty! 😁 Jesse Cox reaction was as good as Paiges!
The music number in my opinion truly is a masterpiece in gaming. The pure joy on most people's faces when they play it is infectious.
I know right! I thought it was so cool 😊
Number(s)
The song from the musical has been stuck in my head for probably a week now it's so catchy haha

its an ear worm
I love how saga's part is all about investigation and some creepy things, alan's part is literally someone high on drugs.

Couldn't agree more! 😊
When is the next part up? :)@@PaigeTheWitch

Same 😅 I also learned as much of it as I could on guitar immedietly.
@@cloudrise wish i knew how to play guitar lmao, instead i learned the entire dance at the chorus
@@moomooman_ see I applaud you, I can play guitar but my coordination for dance is just not there. I would so love to learn the dance 😆
Man its sad that nobody notices the stage directions on the ground
"Act scared" is my favorite
I had to save this point to repeat anytime I want, amazing creative decision by Remedy and Sam Lake

Alans actor and voice are two different people. Alans actor does voice Thomas Zane, so you can hear his voice in that role.
a neat part of this section is that it suggests that evil wants to have fun with you too
The reaction to the musical 🎵🎶
chapter was speechless 😶😅
I was totally blown away from the experience. Amazing 🤩
I was jammin' to this particular part, no doubt 😅
this game is actually really good. i will say i wish there was more action but i do like it. Its way different too
You face at the start of the musical scene ( and during most of it ) spoke volumes.
ive never seen someone's mouth open so wide.
Remedy absolutely cooked after all this time, the sequel was so worth it, i really hope it becomes GOTY no other game, delivered something so new and fresh
This is highly similar with level in Control. Then of course they're in the same universe.
Please don't tell me this musical isn't the best thing you've ever seen in a video game. Beats even Ashtray Maze in Control.
This game just gets more insane 😂

I'm super happy Sam Lake fought to keep this in the game

The music number is freaking fantastic
I watched music sequence more than 10 times and i cant have enough, help... me... *Said he whhile diving deep down in his musical madness*
The funny thing is that this whole musical is basically dark place messing with alan. Right before he enters, he said "no more surprises" and the dark place went "hold my beer".
this song and moment has dominated my brain since i played it Halloween morning
i wake up singing it
OMG, Paige you're so cute reacting to this epic musical from Old Gods of Asgard ft. Alan Wake & Mr. Door 🥰
I hope the rest of the Playthrough goes up on RUclips
keep up the good work, your incredible much love.
Was smiling to the point of tears. This was an experience i havent had in gaming in a long time haha. Subbed
This was a really cool addition the song is so catchy unbelievable 😊

I really liked Alan Wake 2, it was good just like the first one. Great series Paige.
1:42:23 That pipe was like something out of Looney Tunes.

I've seen much worse is all I'm saying
Its survival horror. Just runs forward towards the light. Freaking easy. Why fight each and everyone???😂
Why would you switch to the other reality when the musical part isn’t done yet though?
