Thanks for the video. We are sailing on HAL in Feb for a 14 day cruise through the canal from Fl to San Diego. Made sure we have a balcony suite to help get some great viewing.

What is the best time to visit Agua Clara locks to see ships?

Great Tips. If we were doing a full 14 days from Fort Lauderdale to Los Angeles, which side of the ship should be on? We are looking to book a balcony on the Island Princess.

We recommend you spend your time in the locks on the public decks so you can see all sides, so we don't really have any recommendations for a balcony. If you're traveling the Auga Clara Locks like we did, the port/left side of the ship would see the control center and the starboard/right side of the ship will see the water saving basins.
