I'm 64 year's old. I really enjoy your racing videos! Obviously it takes a lot of preparation, imagination and care to produce your content. Thanks for sharing and keep up the good work! The Mustang race is my favorite lol
I discovered this channel earlier this year and love it. I'm into diecast and collect Hot Wheels, Matchbox and other diecast. My wife saw me yelling "GO GO GO!" at my computer and asked what I was watching. I showed her and she watched some with me and she admitted that it was pretty exciting to watch. The commentary hands down makes it more entertaining for sure. Keep up the great work.
I watch your videos with my 1 year old. He gets excited every time there is a new "Broom". At the start of each race he says ready steady go and will shout go go go and do car noises. He laughs when there is a crash. Keep up the good work!
Crash Racers are making an Oval NASCAR set and I think that’s the answer to the Straight/curves set, it’s gonna be like 4 straights and the regular 180 Degree turns. They debuted it in NY Toy Fair last year along with the Figure Eight
+1 for Slanman Customs! He does tons of R&D on parts before the design is finalized. Great start gates, curves, connectors, and all kinds of other stuff!
I agree- this 2020 season was by far my favorite for the "realism". Having the cars finish in a generally front-first manner is something I really prefer. Most of all, I love 3D's attention to detail and realism and really compliment him on the way this channel has progressed over the years. Thanks, 3D!
I was a child in the early 70s, a little girl who loved Hot Wheels, as much as her dolls! I had the Fat Track, along with many other Hot Wheels sets and accessories. The Fat Track was fun, but I remember having trouble with the connectors, especially when it came to the turns. Wish the idea of the popsicle sticks had come to me and my dad back in the day! Anyway, I am now in my 50s, and find that your racing videos have renewed my love for die-cast cars and racing. I watch them just for fun! I will be sharing these with my young nephew, now that he's reached the age to be into this, too. Your video production values are superb! Thanks for all you do to reawaken the kid in so many of us!
I wore my Fat Track Sizzlers out as a child... it was the coolest toy I owned by a mile. This channel has been my childhood imagination come to life in the best way possible!
As a Kid I had a sheet of 8x4 plywood, on which I drew a race track, put lines across and used a dice to move the cars......I spent Hours and Hours playing with it..... Imagination is your best tool.... :-))))))
There are some other excellent die-cast racing channels out there, but let’s face it, nobody does it better than 3Dbotmaker. Thanks for all the fun, excitement, and distractions during this mad, mad year.
My son and I watch all your videos and he really LOVES your tracks. Thanks for sharing all the info. I ordered 3 crash sets to build out own tracks and have races. Keep up the great work.
Myself being in the toy train hobby and volunteering at NY's largest HO train layout, it is great to see interest in building these tracks. Miniature layouts are kind of like a form of art and I was worried that new generations of kids would not try to get into this hobby. Use oldtimers are not going to be here forever and want to pass our knowledge of building this stuff on to you kids. Thanks to this channel I hope we get more kids involved.
I've only just found this channel in the last week, I can't tell you how invested in these races I've become!! I loved my cars when I was young, I'd make jumps and tracks from Beano and Dandy annuals. Then I was told that I was too old to be playing with toy cars. If I'd only known then that there was a community out there... Love your videos, you and 2D have me in stitches with your comments. Brilliant stuff.
When I was a kid my dad worked for a firehose manufacturer. When they had defective hose he would bring it home and we would make a track out of it. Watching your videos reminds me of race days with my dad. Thank you for what you guys do and the joy you bring to people's lives.
Good call going to the two lane track, 2020 season has been incredible, 100x better than the older videos, and even those were fun to watch. Can’t believe this hasn’t blown up more this year, I thought you’d be into the millions of subs by the end of the year, but it’ll definitely happen if you keep up the quality of work you are doing. Great job!
The car finishing backwards has always been a slight annoyance for me 🤣. Glad to see you guys working to improve the races. That’s why you are clearly the best at this.
So cool that you made this explanatory video, super helpful for those of us who are brand new to this hobby! The amount of work and effort yall put into this from track build/ design, video production/ editing, content creation etc is truly impressive! I'm a pretty serious person yet from the the race I watched I haven't stopped smiling. Thanks!
I have a whole giant plastic box of those Sizzler tracks, cars, and chargers. Bought them years ago. Wish I had all my original Sizzler stuff from the 70's.
I stumbled on your channel by accident I'm blown away, You do diecast racing like I only imaged it as a little kid back in the early 70's. The banter between you and 2D is so good, you guys have great chemistry keep up the awesome work.
It seems I'm late to the races. Enjoying these videos. Great commentating team and fun cars, with loads of "action". And thanks for this behind the scenes. Would love to do this with my kid one day.
Thank you for your content. Its very inspiring in terms of picking up a hobby. Me(50) and my dad(70) have been out in the garage setting up a run like yours and it is not easy. But thats what is fun about it. Having to troubleshoot what is happening, asking if cars are going to fast or to slow a adjusting the decline as needed. I to have lots of spinners and backwards finishers. I did not know about that 3rd track option but we may be looking into it. Thanks again and say hey and thanks to 2d as well.
We used to build some sort of track in the garden with the garden chairs, boxes, leftover pavement bricks to support old roof drainage pieces when I was still a kidd (almost 30 years ago). The pieces were just taped together but it was a lot of fun! We sometimes even made a less steep track that we filled with water with the water spout for little boats!
I had a Sizzlers car long, long ago (1971 - when they were brand new) and it had an 'accessory' that made it even more fun - the 'Mouse Mustache.' We used to take out set of encyclopedias and create a racetrack and the cars would bounce off the books and each other in all sorts of crazy ways!
If you get M8 bolt slightly larger than your corrugated plastic track and fit a row of bearings to the bolt you can heat the plastic and use the bearings to press down gently and roll along the track. This will inset the plastic between the reinforced grooves giving the DIY track the same grooves as the old wide track. If you DIY yourself a stand for the bearings (Think sheet metal roller) you can heat the plastic and slide it through the rollers allowing you to speed up the process of creating each track with grooves.
Love it, thanks for the info. I've been building with wood for my straights. I also started using acrylic which I can size as I like then bend for a steep inrun and large jump. I use cardboard for the sides. All salvaged, found, and reclaimed.
The track that you're using right now really seems to be the best out there. I agree that it gives a more realistic experience since the cars track straighter and spin out less frequently. I can't believe how much time I spend as a grown adult man watching your channel. Keep up the good work!
I broke out an old "Daytona 500" track (not sure who made it) for the same kind of rechargeable cars (came with Kyle Petty hot wheels car and Bill Elliott McDonald's car) from when I was a kid in the early 90's and the pieces all fit with the crash racers set that I bought this past spring seamlessly. The straight pieces are the same exact width and length, just black instead of grey. The track was two long straights with two 180° turns and had a pit stall on each straight and you could redirect the car in to recharge and get back on the track with never having to pick up the car off the track. Brought back so many great memories! Thanks for the inside info 3d, great to see behind the scenes a little!
got algorithmed here but I gotta say I highly respect the fact that despite being a part maker for the hobby you shouted out someone who technically would be competition for you. 10/10 man. Little bit of an update, watched a few more of your videos and the quality is so good I have hit the subscribe button. Your scenery is very well done man esspecially the rally track that looked awesome.
This is the best thing I have seen for mini cars!! this is such a kick ass thing to do with my kids and friends thank you for doing this and I hope you continue ❤
I have been remiss in not commenting earlier. I have been loving these videos. I'm not a diecast hobbiest and I'm 53 years old but a Facebook friend had posted one of your videos last year and I have been hooked ever since. The production value is fantastic (tracks, camera work and commentary) and I look forward to seeing new videos. Please keep up the great work. It is very much appreciated.
Thanks for this 3D. You have become the inspiration for the growth of this hobby in the last couple of years, and videos like this are greatly appreciated.
I built a small track for my kids out of a long piece of cardboard and used bamboo sticks as reinforcement which double up as barriers/curbs. We painted it all up looks great and is easy enough to pack away when they are finished racing. To add a little bit of chaos we have a lane merge near the end to drive the car together over the line. Just need to make a bigger one next time.
I had figured that one of them had to be the fat track as I remember my California 500 set with then lap counter shown in the video quite fondly. And I also remember those curves being a pain to both put together and keep together. It was suggested to use a rubber band in the back of the curved pieces to help keep them in place.
These videos have inspired me and my dad to make our own racing league videos with our own hot wheels club and we would like to learn how we can send in our cars. We think you make amazing videos. Thank you so much!
Thanks so much for this generous video. It really shows how you support the hobby overall. I saw the Adventure Force figure 8 set online for 30 bucks and free next day shipping available. 👍
Saw your vids and showed my daughter the current track. Now im working on my own mountain downhill course for her to race her cars. This vid helps alot in the endeavor.
Of course! You not only get exclusive information and behind the scenes action, youre also supporting the channel and help 3d producing even better content!
Totally worth it! As said previously, the content is worth it and supporting great content monetarily is a great way to keep the channel going. It's basically the cost of a McDonald's combo meal or a Starbucks coffee. So not much sacrifice in my opinion.
I have been following this series since about 4 months ago and I have watched just about all the videos...this channel is great and very entertaining. But this video today has being one of my favorites since not many youtubers like to share their sources and or products that they actually use. Keep up the great hard work you put into making your content. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
As someone just getting back into hot wheels racing, albeit with monster trucks, I've been DYING to find turns for my track. It seems like Slanman is going to be the way to go, so I'm super excited!
I made a base out of corrugated cardboard and hot glue. If you glue 2 sheets of corrugated cardboard with one sheet flipped 90 degrees it's very strong as corrugations are running vertical and horizontal. For my track I cut up some file folder covers. The track is currently in pieces while I paper mache the landscape but if you want to see it in action prior to landscaping I uploaded a couple of 10 sec vids to my personal channel and happy to answer any questions.
SHAKE & BAKE! Thanks for the info. Ordering 4 of those sets from Walmart at $29 each. Will plan on getting the starting and finishing gates from 3D Botmaker. A new hobby.
Reminds me of my schooldays when I used to make cardboard tracks with soap boxes as supports. 😅 Make a gap in between two pieces of tracks and there you go, you've got some action. That was epic. Just downhill racing fun. 🏎
I had the fat track as a kid but i didnt ha e the smarts to start it high up to let the cars race by momentum. I just lined up my 100 matchbox and hotwheels on the track and gave them a good push. How boring.....still a great childhood.
You are awesome dude! All the hard work and development. I love when you say "HAve fun" am having a blast and super fun doing my tracks and recording to share with my friends and relatives. Thanks for all your work.
Useful! And it's good to hear you recommending Slanman Customs too - I've heard some good things, but getting the 3DBotMaker seal of approval is even better. One day I'll finish procrastinating and start work on my own track...
These videos bring me back to my childhood in the 1980’s. I used to race my own die cast cars on a mix of Hot Wheels and Sizzler track but it was nothing like this.
The crash racer sets as is are awesome and the possibilities are endless with it. The cars that come with it work amazing with regular hot wheels tracks. They can't handle loops but will lap a good size track over and over again on a single charge. Heads up these drop dramatically in price at Walmart after Christmas.
Nice video. I was designing a track using 1/4" boards. They can be twisted and bent easy and with a little paint and a knowledge of woodworking. I have done stuff like this in the past for my slot car tracks. I built roads with it around the track. And a damn nice parking lot .
Thanks 3D! I personally like the MagTrack because I have a 3D printer and I love the way it performs, I also love being able to customize it also, it’s also a lot cheaper, thanks very much!
When I was 8 I made a track out of cardboard pieces and attached them to the top of a chair, Years later, now that I have money I am going to buy some of the crash racer sets and use boxes to support it underneath. Thank you for the help and ideas!
Something you might want to try as a material for track if you have not already... Especially if you are customizing, at Dollarama you can buy I think it is 18 in by 30 in and it is a foam shock pad for the floor the underside is perfectly smooth.
Have you ever considered (reasonably well-sanded) hardwood or linoleum flooring as a track surface? These plastic tracks seem to be extremely slippery, accelerating the loss of traction. You could also putty & sand the connections on your fixed buildups, keeping cars from getting ejected by a bad guardrail joint.
I thought I recognized the Sizzler track! 😮 My next door neighbor had a set that we played with. Got boring quick. One car was always faster, always won. We weren’t old enough ($) to buy more cars. Eventually, regular Hot Wheels returned as the “go to” toy cars. BTW, Hot Wheels track makes a cool sound as it drips when you burn it. We burned a bunch of it for fun. I can’t find my old Hot Wheels tracks anymore… My mom must have thrown it away. 🤔
I have a ton of sizzlers fat track from the 70s that I now use for marble racing. I always assumed your gray track setup was using XV Racers track from the 90s. Cool to know it's actually track that's still in production.
The work that goes into these tracks is crazy! Thanks for sharing more info about the parts you use
Love you guys to show your workings too!

I think it is much better if your wife sees you looking at actual porn... Anyway I enjoy this channel but won’t tell my wife.
It's incredible how much work is put in these races! We'd be very interested in collabing someday!

That’s great and all, but that doesn’t tell me how to get the color commentators to narrate my morning commute.

We just ordered our third set of NASCAR Crash Racers building our mountain. Thank you formal of your insight and guidance.
SHAKE & BAKE! Thanks for the info. Ordering 4 of those sets from Walmart at $29 each. Will plan on getting the starting and finishing gates from 3D Botmaker. A new hobby.
Literally bought all of the figure 8 sets at Walmart! Great video!
I’m not how many UK 🇬🇧 subscribers you have but I have been absolutely entertained by your channel the commentary is fantastic
Please keep it up
I had a Sizzlers set with metallic cars when I was a kid. Tiny cars with electric motors and rechargeable batteries. So fast and so cool!
Reminds me of my schooldays when I used to make cardboard tracks with soap boxes as supports. 😅 Make a gap in between two pieces of tracks and there you go, you've got some action. That was epic. Just downhill racing fun. 🏎
I now have a giant 7 meter mag track that I’m planning on using for some racing videos, thanks for the video 3D
I had the fat track as a kid but i didnt ha e the smarts to start it high up to let the cars race by momentum. I just lined up my 100 matchbox and hotwheels on the track and gave them a good push. How boring.....still a great childhood.
The guy has a great voice for this too. The writing for these races and editing is top notch.
I have just found this on RUclips this is one of the coolest things I have seen in a while.
Keep up the great work
Thank you so much for the fun. Celebration - Gathering - a bit of competition - action - and FUN! Thank you
You are awesome dude! All the hard work and development. I love when you say "HAve fun" am having a blast and super fun doing my tracks and recording to share with my friends and relatives. Thanks for all your work.
Thanks so much for the info on your track and track building. My son and I love your channel! 👍😎
THIS IS AMAZING! Been a car guy, I enjoy the tremendous level of detail and commitment to this hobby. I am a fan now.
Fascinating stuff !! Thoght I'd spotted bits of old TCR slotless racing sets in there in particular banked curves but now my question is answered !!!
Far Out Toys needs to sponsor you after this lol. I'm sure sales are about to skyrocket.
I watched some of your videos
So happy that you are willing to share this information with your subscribers. You da man.
My next door neighbor had a set that we played with.
I can’t find my old Hot Wheels tracks anymore…
My mom must have thrown it away. 🤔
Thank you for bringing us such a great video, it has benefited me a lot❤️
I also diy one. Those who are interested can come and watch my video🥺(Teaching inside)
@@twitch1392 Your tracks are too interesting! It really amazes me!
@@kevinwong7483 Thanks.
I have a ton of sizzlers fat track from the 70s that I now use for marble racing. I always assumed your gray track setup was using XV Racers track from the 90s. Cool to know it's actually track that's still in production.
I just started watching and you guys are hilarious. I can’t get enough! Thanks for all ur hard work.
