If Who Live At Leeds wasn't already the best live album ever, 801 Live certainly would be.

I love how fucking raw this sounds. My only wish is that McCormick's bass didn't sound so muddy in the mix. Simon Phillips is a BEAST on drums!

Timeless song. Pity about the tape speed, but still great to hear another version of these classics. New to me! Thanks for posting.

lmao @ Lars... Lars will be forever the butt of a shitty drummer joke. Lmao @ Lars versus Simon Phillips. Talk about your proverbial 'stacked deck'! Simon is easily a top 10 drummer. His work with 801, Manzanera and Eno is nothing short of astonishing. The only thing astonishing about Lars is that he was able to keep his job in such a successful band. But then again, Metal never really was about drumming.

I have one rehearsal 801 album with the same song order it is amazing, sound is not that great but nevertheless it is still so good to listen to of course the real 801 live album is just one amazing Progrock piece.
