I'm very interested in your high level of master carpentry skills. What is the narrow board under the large bottom beam for ? In Australia we use a galvanized sheet with a turn down edge under the "bottom plate" to stop termites . You guys are doing very high quality work !
I watch another Japanese carpenter here who will uses some sort of plastic for the same thing . Like you we use to use galvanized metal but now bottom plates are treated and there is a foam sill sealer between the plate and cement . I would almost bet it is some type of tree that has high rot and insect resistance .
They call it in Japan 'kiso' packing. They have different options: hinoki or hiba (= Japanese Cypress), Kuri (= Japanese Chestnut), Keyaki (= Japanese Zelkova), Komatsuishi (= Stone), or Plastic packing. Japanese wood species are very good rot resistant.

私も古い人間な物で、柿渋と聞くと｢粋な黒塀見越しの松に～」なんて口を衝いて出ますがあの匂いはやれませんよね、でもどんどん深い黒色になって行くのは見ていても見事です

木材の腐食防腐剤って、基本的には廃油と同じだと思います。枕木なんかはまんま、廃油漬けですから、内装使わないんでしたら自動車廃油でも大丈夫ですよ、まぁ、臭いがキツイんで好みもありますが…防虫。

プレカットで刻む手間をはぶきましたか?手刻みよりも正確に刻めますからな良い時代になりましたね防腐剤替わりに木酢液と柿渋とは粋な計らい良い倉庫が建つのを楽しみにしています😂
