My favourite bomber currently is the G4M1 'Betty' or as the Japanese nicknamed it 'Cigar' because the early variants had the same tendency to randomly combust as the German counterpart, the He-177 I think, maybe another Scnellbomber design but at least at its BR it can dogfight pretty much as good as another country's heavy fighter with the capacity to launch torpedos and bombs with, compared to other japanese bombers of similar size was pretty significant
@@hypoel1660 as I experienced 3km is well enough, yes, it's annoying to hear explosions but it's still safe
My favourite bomber currently is the G4M1 'Betty' or as the Japanese nicknamed it 'Cigar' because the early variants had the tendency to randomly combust as the German He-177 or another Scnellbomber design but at least on its BR it can dogfight like a heavy fighter. And also compared to other Japanese bombers of her size, it has a pretty solid bombload, though it is still lackluster to other nations' bombload. But it can carry naval armaments as well, pretty quick, and can be tanky sometimes. The guns are basically nonexistent since 7.7mm is just doesn't do anything even at 1.0 but the 20mm in the tail can save your life. I remember using it at 8.3 ground battles and it wasn't bad, just my aim was. Still can't aim with bombs, especially moving targets but I think it's understandable.

Sadly never gonna happen due to the nerfs constantly they just keep saying oh yeah that reward you got was a glitch that was there for years I highly doubt it was a bug they just want more money and making it just more to entice their community the whales to not grind anymore
If you want to play bomber as a fighter, try me-264, it is faster than most fighters at it's br. You can also try the Tu-4, it isn't that fast but trust me, B-29 with 5x 2x23mm cannons is a literal gunship (unless you meet missile)

If you want to have fun and effective time in bombers you need to use something like:
- Ki-67
- B-34
- Ju-188
- H8K
- D4Y3-ko
- Me-264 and G8N1 if you must have 4 engines
etc. Basically anything with decent performance, decent guns, and a turn rate that at least gives you a chance when someone slots onto your 6.
From this list the D4Y3-Ko is the best to learn from because you have a fast and agile plane that isn't super large, you have a excellent 13.2mm rear gunner, and two light MGs if you get really stuck.
Flying keyboard is mandatory as well because you need to evade and position from your gunner perspective.

I'm always having to be the adult in matches and feel like it's my responsibility to blast bases up. Also can be quite satisfying to drop perfectly aimed bombs, then waiting for the "target destroyed"s roll in!
But yeah it's supremely frustrating how teammates always fly in a straight line at maybe 1000m at highest while the bombers have to climb to 5k in the hopes of outclimbing enemy interceptors
I would recommend the Swedish B-18's for Bomber gameplay but everyone knows those are just heavy fighters anyways.

bombers can be fun if you wanna just relax and get some rp. grab a bomber with fire bombs and climb into space and just fly around. only sucks when someone climbs up to you and cuts a wing off. but if you wanna just chill out in warthunder play bombers
The F3H-2 Demon just went down to 9.0 in the recent BR changes. Do you fancy yourself playing that at any point in the near future?

I've always wondered, as a European, mind you, why you use mph for speed but meters for altitude. It doesn't make any sense to me.
Not a clue. I use mph because it’s more common in England and it’s the speed we use in cars I guess? As for why kilometres, not a clue.
Now im too used to it and changing it would be confusing for me to adjust
@@thesnazzycometI live in a place that commonly uses MPH but I started playing with metric and i'm so used to it now i couldn't stand going to imperial or whatever it's called.
I'm greatful for it because I used to struggle to visualise how far exactly a km is or how fast 48kph is. This game has really helped me learn to switch between the two systems and convert distances without even thinking about it

@@thesnazzycomet yeah I think corean war would be cool cause you can drive Pershing fly sabres and mig-15s, but there were also tanks like Cromwell, so even less skilled players could join

7:18 not sure if it's just my connection or a known bug, sometimes my bombs will hit and "base damaged" award comes up, then i'll go rearm and come about for another pass. Then on approach i'll see the base health bar suddenly drain and it will come up as destroyed. Usually happens before I waste a payload but a few times it's happened a few seconds after I drop. Can be quite obnoxious
USING THE HE111 BOMBER WITH 32 50 LBS BOMBS CAN DESTROY A BASE WITH ONLY 20 OR SO BUT I DROP ALL 32 PER BASE AND SHOOT STRAIGHT BACK UP

If your going for their main base you need to be above 5k and use bomb sight to drop with the AAA wont fk with you nearly as bad heck possible not at all depending on alt!!!! Also want to set a 0.5 sec delay on bombs if your trying to clap a plane with it anything above a 1 sec is going to be worthless and you don't want to be close to the bomb when it goes out so better yet set it for 1 sec due to the speed of bombers
