we don't have holdens in the UAE we have Chevrolet caprice with the 6.0L LS1 V8 iron block

the UAE does not import/sell HOLDEN vehicles (same as every other country on earth) Holden is an exclusively Australian only brand, however a couple of models in very limited numbers exported to NZ and South Africa. Okay so Mate, please tell us where does this "UAE CHEVROLET CAPRICE" originate from? Built in UAE yeah? 😆😆😆
@@joshbrookes6439 Holden did export to the UAE, but its' the top of the range Caprice (the Statesman I mentioned is the next level below). Built in Australia & was the last of the older platform, now sadly discontinued as big, rear wheel drive 4-door sedans no longer sell locally anywhere near levels where they did - together with the (AUS) Ford Falcon, possibly the best value for money 5 seat sedans in the world. Holden sourced the Chev engines from US, but pretty much did the rest - from design to final build. Mike Simcoe was Holden head of design for years - now is GM worldwide boss ...

I had the privilege of being taken out by George Harrison in his XJ220. Was working in Henley down the road from Georges home. One day in the garage opposite George turned up to speak to the guys about another car of his up on the lift. He was an easy going bloke and really approachable. So wandered across to see his XJ220, when he asked if would like to go for a drive, and before I knew it he had opened the passenger door and ushered me in. He was not shy in putting his foot down so we shot off through the industrial estate, out and down the road, for about ten minutes. He loved the car and was pointing out lots of details about how special it was. Really was a nice fella indeed. He proceeded to take half of my colleagues out soon after and left about two hours later. Saw George quite often around Henley and he always remembered my name and said hello to me. Total legend! As is the XJ220 :)

I’m with you, absolutely love the 612 Scag. It’s the last truly great v12 Ferrari. All the cars since have to many computers making to many of the decisions. The 612 has enough to be modern but also retain that old school vibe

The noisy car was an Australian built statesman or Caprice.
That "white" car was exported from Australia .. as a Holden .. rebadged as a Chevy I imagine for Dubai market . 5.7ltr corvette engine from factory.

Sam, If your tried to register the Porsche the RTA would not pass these tyres anyway, the RTA are more strict than the UK and the dates on tyres are critical. We shipped in European new vehicles and when you register we had 3 year old tyres which we had to change to comply.. If you look at the registration plates on any Dubai car you will see a date sticker which will be replaced every year once inspected.

The car that drove past making the noise is a Holden Statesman or Caprice from Australia. They have the LS2 V8 from the Corvette.
Shame you didn't mention the 928's or the Pagoda Merc. 928's have always been one of my favourite cars from seeing a neighbour's car when new back in about 1980. Good value for a classic too..

It’s the Australian made Holdens Statesman of Caprice model. LSV8 rwd. They brought a heap the Holden V8 Commodore (more basic model) for their Police Service.
My buddy has a 599 GTO….. It is such an amazing car! He loves it more than is 812 and his Pista. I’ve driven it twice and that V12 is amazing!
What an amazing place. Whenever I went to the Earls court car show back in the late 80's I was always drawn to the vintage cars. Totally different vibe.
That noisy car at the start was a Holden Statesman. An Australian made limousine type car. The Prime Minister used to get driven around in one until Holden finished up. Now I’m sure he’s happier in a BMW.

Forget all the ones you showed, that red SL Pagoda is the star of the show, very collectible and prices are increasing; I’d guess that one costs well north of £150,000.

599 HGTE wise : one of the best thing to distinguish them if the Ferrari badge just above the radio in the interior. All the HGTE have it in carbon fiber while it’s in like aluminium in a standard 599

Fantastic! The XJ220 screams for a company to go around it and improve the overall build quality, panel gaps, interior trim, as well as the (probably) suspension, etc. It's a fantastic idea (and car for that matter) just slightly badly executed that deserves a lote of TLC.
The price would be outrageous, but hey, people are buying 500K 911s, so...

The white car that drove past early in the clip was an Australian produced GM car.
Love this look at the classics on show here. My absolute favourite is the Jaguar XJ220 and would be a car I would have in a heart beat. I love the story behind it’s creation. That and an F40 and I’d be happy!!! Happy Christmas Sam.

I believe the car at 2:37 is an Australian Holden Statesman Caprice but it’s quick and grainy so not 100% sure but quite sure.
That white sedan was a Holden Caprice. Basically a longer amd more luxurious version of the Commodore. A boganmobile dressed in a tuxedo
The hgte rims where the star patter rims not the ones on that gray one at the end those are the normal rims
there is another classic car showroom in AlSerkal Dubai. a must see!!!!

That really is a pretty incredible dealership. I like how Dubai does everything just a cut above. In the States you might find a “used car supermarket” around every corner that would have a classic… maybe. Dubai has one classic dealership that is basically a treasure chest of vehicles. Go them.

The loud white sedan was a Holden (made in Aust) Statesman/Caprice.
The car making the noise was a Holden Caprice with the V8 👍 Australia shipped them to the US
