Thanks for answering. Every video on RUclips is different. I saw a great Eagles cover band called 7 Bridges last night. Should of asked the drummer. Yours sounds the most legit.
The guitar is 8 bars- If you count the last 4 bars (as the guitar pattern repeats the 2nd time) I'm counting 1 E & Ah, 2 E & Ah, 3 E & Ah, 4 E & Ah (twice). And I come in on the "&" of 4. Hitting Fill on "&" "Ah" "1" - With the Crash (on E of 1)
You're a true hero 🖤
THANK YOU! This was driving me crazy! So simple now...
The trick is to get your band to adjust to the correct way of counting it. Ha ha.
Very few cover bands get this right... all the guitar stabs are, as you have it... on the + of 4... anticipating 1.
Thanks a lot!!! This was making me nuts!!! And it’s so simple!!!
It starts on one, but you count it at 68 beats per minute sub divide it in eighth notes.Listen to Live Eagles 1977. They count it off for you there:)

So helpful ty!
I'm a beginning drummer and I want this to be the first song I learn. Is this the exact way the song starts on the original?
I hope so... not very easy to count.. Greetings
Yep, he did it perfectly
