VERUS mining with Orange Pi 5 !

- I am running an experiment with the orange pi 5 and mining the VerusCoin using ccminer. This is a pretty efficient method of mining verus since the power consumption is extremely low, but the hash rate is pretty high. I am also phone mining verus with a Pixel 6, see link below

Dude, yes! I personally like mining verus on the Pi better than the phones. Like you said the phone set up is easier but I also like my house... lol and even with the scheduled cycles and preventing the battery to go past 85% charge I still fear my house will go up in flames LOL
LOL! yes I like my house too... plus OrangePi has so many other uses that I can apply afterwards if this doesn't work out. Not sure what i'll do with 10 extra used phones

i have 2 of them but my cpu is 61 C on both i have the fan kit plus i have extra fan on it but it dont going down
Wow that's kinda 🔥. Maybe reduce the CPU cores to half and see if that keeps it cooler

Wow! This looks great. How many watts does this use? and can the 4GB model also get the same amount of hashrate?
thanks! its using about 8W on average right now, once i run it for longer i will get a better idea. you can do this on the 4GB model but i dont know what hash rate it will get. I will be picking up a few more pi's if this goes well. :)

Awesome. I just got it up and running last night. Hash rate is around 6-8 MH/s... i am planning to do some updates and compare my phone with the orange pi

Thanks for great video. You mentioned Orange Pi 5 in the video, but the link to amazon is for Orange Pi 4. It doesn't matter which I choose? Because the differences are not only in the price, but also in the CPU - Pi 5 has a RK3588S processor and the Pi 4 has a Rockchip RK3399. It does not matter? Does anybody know the hash difference? Thanks
Thank you so much for pointing that out. That's an error. I've tried only the Pi 5 RK3588S, it does matter. I dont know anyone that has tested the Pi 4

thats exactly what i want to know. I am going to mine on both a phone and orange pi to see if its profitable. After that I can look at growing a mining farm.
I plan to put out some youtube shorts to regularly show profits (if any), then do a full update in a month.
