This is a really cool mod. I literally do this for a living. I work for the Dept of Transportation. Can't wait to try it out! You did a good job setting up your lane closure. There are a few things I would have done differently, but they aren't a big deal. I like that you thought to gate post the road work signs.

Detours just take cars off route and take them a different way. EX, If a road Is closed they will have signs posted saying "Detour" Directing you to a new way so you can get back on said road.
